So whenever you are done reaching for the dictionary, enlighten the rest of us in here! I am going to make it my own personal goal to use every word on this list at least twice in my personal essays! 3nodding

Joby... I will now have the batman theme in my head the rest of the day...I fear I will use that now even when going from room ro room... (to the couch! nana nana nana nana nana nana nana nana....yeah sweatdrop I am that hero!) I usually understand all of Rye's words. It isn't so much the words as how they are said that make it sound old fashioned. Oh well. This may help people build vocabulary which I am all for! Here are a few of MY favorite words which you can learn to use correctly
Deign (pronounced DANE, not dine) basically meaning to think something beneath oneself, to condescend;...example: I wouldn't deign to answer that question.
Pulchritude (here is a word for the poets) meaning beauty...(physical beauty, often used to describe a womans visage)

It seems my secondary goal has met with a much higher degree of success than I had immediately anticipated. I had always held the hope that even through casual usage, my own level of skill with literary and vocabulary would spread out and inculcate to all of you. Seeing a notice made on the very same matter has done much to make me feel my time has not been wasted. It is also a predominant factor in my creation of my fifth coterminous reification, Prolix. Overall, I am filled with much elation at the recent actions I have bore witness to. Also, with this thread being added to our guild's voluminous ranks, I no longer feel constrained by the limits of average mentality in regard to vocabulary.

And tell me Joby, have you been able to actually learn the meaning and find ways to use these words now in your everyday life? I am curious if you have. If so, which words? (Oh, just satisfy my curiosity)

Proclaimer Rye It seems my secondary goal has met with a much higher degree of success than I had immediately anticipated. Rye-neechan... I'd swear you do things like this on purpose...

Not yet, however I'll inculcate an eloquent dichotomy of my personalities upon you all if it's the last thing I do (it will be the last thing I do)! wink
