Maia smiled running her hand down her new fuku, she just felt so proud and happy. She was one of the few, one of the eternals and it made her feel special and important, but still that meant nothing. She still had to train and since she was no longer a member of the BMC training was exactly an everyday thing.

So tonight she was meeting with Chaonis to train. She had really no idea what the training would entail, but it mattered not. Training was training and Maia needed it. One she hadn't trained in several months outside of training Ixion and two she when it came to battles as of late Maia wasn't exactly knocking down flat.

She sighed shaking her head and rounded the corner. This was it right? So where was Chaonis. Oh no wait, she felt him or at least she thought she did. She just did not see him.

Eternal Chaonis was about to rain on Maia's parade.

One of the few, the proud, the special indeed. The Senshi of Danger had no idea that Maia had powered up as well, but it hardly mattered. He wasn't there to show her new skills off, but rather just show off his own. Not that he had his attack figured out yet, but that wasn't the point.

He still had the awesome new threads and power boost, and that was the most important thing at the moment. The rest he would all sort out in time.

Spotting her on the street, he hopped down from the roof and landed right down on the street in front of her. He grinned his normal grin, tilting his head to the side in wonder as he looked her over. New threads as well. New aura. She was just like him, it seemed.

"So you got a little boost too, huh? Not bad. But not as cool as me." He folded his arms over his chest, letting her take a good look at him. Butt wings and all.

Maia frowned when he jumped down in front of her and started talking. She gave him a rather irritated looked but sighed and then smiled, "I'll take that as a congratulation and that said congratulations to you too," she paused for a second, "Your fuku is cool, but I got a classy tail coat. I like it and I have to say I'm quite glad my er ... buttwings are smaller than some of the other's I have seen."

Maia grinned at Chaonis, her good mood not all ruined, "So Chaonis, Eternal Senshi of Danger what shall training entail tonight. I forgot to ask and I hope that you will not keep me in suspense." Okay Maia was definitely giddy, yup giddy. She had more energy and was probably far more excited than she should be.

She waited with a grin for his answer.

Chaonis nodded at that. His butt wings were rather dense and on the plastic side, which made them look cool but were less giving in doorways or tight spots. If they had been any larger, he would likely have gotten stuck on everything.

Not convenient for fighting.

Her mood, at least, was infectious and he grinned at her, looking around. He didn't sense any negas in the area so they couldn't go out and fight one of those for training. But they could still battle each other for a while. A good spar was never wasted, and he wanted to see what she was capable of.

"How about we go one on one, huh? No magic, just fists?" That was probably not fair, of course, as he often fought just fists and was very much used to punching things until they gave up or turned to dust.

"Or you can have your magic, and I'll make it fair and not use mine." he winked, mocking, though at least that allowed him to just pretend he wasn't using any attacks by choice and not because he had lost some control of them. And didn't actually know if he had a new one.

Maia frowned at sparring with Chaonis and her frown only deepened if he continued to speak. "Chaonis, you know very well what my attack does and if it actually hits you then I'd have a very unfair advantage."

She crossed her arms and gave him a pointed look, "beside my magic is defensive so do not think you can best me. I haven't been defeating youma and negaversers with just my song."

Maia grinned at him obviously up for the spar, "I don't agree to just fist though. I do not typically fight with them. No magic though. I agree to no magic."

Chaonis winked at her.

"Then I guess I'll have to make sure it doesn't hit me, huh?" He said, hands on his hips now. He looked confident, as always, and his body language was just as cocky as his expression.

"Well, no, I'm sure there's a lot of luck involved with you beating those youma, as well. Don't worry, though, when there's Danger you'll need a lot more than luck."

He'd pat himself on the back for how clever he thought it was, but he also thought his pose was particularly intense, so he just stood and grinned at her.

"So you don't want to fight with your fists, and you don't want to fight with your magic. What is this going to be, then? A staring match?"

Maia rolled her eyes not thinking that Chaonis was not at all clever. She was growing irritated with his cockiness and wanted to slap the smirk right off his face. Danger, danger, danger, right about as much as a week old kitten. She smirked at her thoughts.

Was she suppose to the start this then. She frowned very well then and she jumped at him not really intending to do anything mostly just wanted to see how he would react. It wasn't like she had done it in BMC training, she just wasn't fond of it and not only that Maia fought with her feet.

It was obvious she wasn't going to hit him though, her fist were raised or anything. No instead she smirked as she landed, dropping down and swinging a leg out to knock Mr. Danger off his feet.

Chaonis watched her as she charged, expecting something. She wasn't ready to attack, though he could almost imagine her swinging a punch at the last second. But not quite. He saw her swinging her feet around and moved to jump. His hands met her shoulders and he used her to haul himself over her.

"Not so fast, fancy feet," he said, landing behind her. He grinned, glad she was at least going for the sparring match.

He cracked his knuckles.

"Let's see what you can do, then," he laughed. He charged her, leaping up and swinging his foot forward. He was going to fight her the same way she wanted to fight him: if she wanted to use her feet, then he was going to introduce her to the underside of his cleats.

He kicked high, aiming for her shoulder rather than kicking low for her feet. He was nothing if not ambitious at least.

Maia was unbalanced by the hand on her shoulder and she wobbled a bit even with her hands on the ground and even hearing the thump behind her as she landed it still took her a minute to jump back to her feet.

Unfortunately Chaonis chose to give her a good kick and she didn't managed to dogde him in time, his cleats catching on the fabric of her collar and whipping her backward.

She hit the ground with a groan, but rolled and hopped up to avoid another attack, though she hoped Chaonis wouldn't "kick her while she was down." Her heart was pounding which made it easy to ignore her smarting back.

"That really hurt," she pouted slightly, but charged just the same this time fist clenched even if she did not intend to use them. She spun as soon as she was close enough, her leg whipping out this time aiming for his knee but her motive was the same. She intended to simply knock him off his feet.

Chaonis was totally the kind of guy who would kick her when she was down: that was just the way a street fight worked. And that was the kind of fighting style he subscribed to. Waiting for people to get up, making sure they were evenly matched, not taking cheap shots?

Only wimps let scruples get in the way of their winning a battle. There were some rules that would forever be unwritten and any style of fighter would follow, but they were very few as far as Chaonis knew or were concerned. All's fair, and all that rot.

When she complained about him hurting her, though, he gave her a look.

"Well what did you expect? I'm not going to go easy on you, just because you don't want to punch me. We'll see how long that lasts." He grinned at her devilishly. He knew he wouldn't hurt her, that was never his true goal, but he did want to push her to see how far she could take that idea of not using her fists. Always the instigator, he made a lot more enemies with his methods than he did friends.

But he felt the trade off was worth it.

Anyway, he didn't want friends that were wusses, right? Regardless, he was already friends with Maia, whether he admitted it or not, so she had that to fall back on. And maybe that, in itself, was why he was pushing her so hard.

When she kicked at him again he moved his arm to block her attempt to assassinate his knee, hoping to catch her leg with his hand and hold her hostage.

Maia frowned at the statement, she hadn't expected him to throw that at her. Of course she did not want to punch him, it was odd. They were on the same side of the war and they were friends. Beside, her fighting style came about from her study of ballet. She was tossed in the world of magic and told to fight. Her body had to mostly figure it out on its own.

His words however did not stop her from attacking him nor did it make her punch him. She thrown the kick and the her eyes went wide when he caught her leg and she instantly tried to yank it out of his hand kicking rather frantically, without any aim and without much balance.

This was so awkward, she could help train up new senshi she did not know, but when it came to training herself, it seemed she needed much help and she had only just started.

Chaonis held on to her as best he could while she flailed. He had the upper hand now: she couldn't kick him when she only had one leg to work with!

Why was he so dead set on getting punched?

If he paused to think about it, he might not have been so enthusiastically making it difficult for her to kick at him. But he was not one for stopping and thinking. He held on to her leg and laughed at how awkward it was, mostly for her. Some guy had her by the leg, after all.

"Careful, you'll fall if you keep that up," he said, using his other hand to keep his hold on her. It certainly wasn't the most dignified way to fight someone, but when did that ever bother him? He pulled on her leg, and not in the sense that he just told a joke. he literally pulled on her leg, to try and knock her further off balance and just mess with her.

Her kicks weren't going anything while he had a good grip on her and not only that he was mocking her. She frowned wholeheartedly, not that she really expected anything different from Chaonis. Then he pulled on her leg after the mocking comment and unbalanced her.

"Whoa," she cried twisting to catch herself and ending up with the hands on the ground, Chaonis still with a grip on her leg. Mortification set in rather quickly and she looked back at him with a glare before bracing herself with her hands and lifting her other leg to kick Chaonis hard right in the stomach.

She doubted it would hurt to much with his armored fuku, but she hoped at least she would be released. Either that or she would just continue to kick him until he did let go.

Chaonis watched her as she was wrenched around, now holding her in an even stranger position than before. He didn't let go, though, not yet. He grinned at her when she looked back at him, noting the expression on her face and giving her a wink for good measure.

He imagined he knew what that face meant.

"Don't get too excited," he teased. Then he was greeted with a foot connecting with his stomach. True enough, he had padding, but it was not going to absorb the shock of a close contact, embarrassment fueled kick straight to the gut.

At least she hadn't aimed lower.

Air rushing out of his lungs in a woosh and a grunt, he stumbled backwards. She managed to get him to drop her, at least, as he worked to catch himself before he got too off balanced and did something stupid like fall over. And he was still working to get his breath back.

But, at least for a fleeting moment, his guard was down.

Maia couldn't help to, but to grin and feel someone accomplished as her leg was released and allowed to rejoin the other back on the ground. She nearly kicked Chaonis again for good measure, but as irritated as she was by his cockiness she simply back away from him, not really wanting to have a go at her friend. This training session was going over so well and she was hardly acting like an eternal probably should.

Maia took a deep breath expecting a quick retaliation. She needed to get it together. Chaonis as annoying as he was being was trying to help and she needed to be less reliant on her magic, she needed to be more willing to fight. They were in a war and she could hardly prepare new senshi if she wasn't prepared herself.

Her face appeared more serious now, but would her action be as such?
