While we wait for more Doctor Who to discuss why don't we talk about new Torchwood.

I have to say I was disappointed with this episode. most of the Trailer stuff was blown through in this first episode. Rex was pretty underwhelming. The ending left me feeling like everything I had just seen was only exposition.

Now on to the good. I'm not sure why, but i have good feelings about Esther. The baby is adorable and Jack becoming mortal is an interesting twist. I hope they make him immortal again when all this is over.

They'd have to make Jack immortal again otherwise it won't fit in with the Doctor Who storyline. How else would he become the Face of Bo otherwise?

I hope they aren't planning on making Torchwood split completely apart from Doctor Who.

I think the episode was really good biggrin

I hope that this season will somehow be about the two years that the Time agency stole from Jack (It's about time we get to know something about them).

Sniffles, I only got to see the first seven or eight episodes... now I'm far away from my friend who has Starz... so I can't watch it till it gets released on DVD...

I must admit, I was a bit iffy about (SPOILER! highlight to see) [Rex also staying immortal, as a result of him getting Jack's blood] but apart from that, I thought it ended alright. I mean, it was kinda obvious that they were going to have to give Jack back his immortality from the beginning, but yeah...

Speaking of which, I just realized something. We see the Face of Boe die in series 3 of Doctor Who, in the second or third episode, and in the finale of that series, it's pretty much revealed (or at least hinted at) that Jack IS the Face of Boe, or should I say, the Face of Boe is just a really old Jack. But if Jack's not able to stay dead, then surely the FoB wouldn't have stayed dead? Considering it is apparently Jack after all...
