 All around the land of fire, particularly around the hidden leaf, is a massive forest. In order to go to the leaf village, shinobis must pass through this dense and thick forest to get to the path which leads to the entrance of the hidden leaf village. Also, around the border the wind country is connected to the forest, so one who wanted to get to the sand village, would have to go through here to get to the wind country and vise versa. The same goes for the Land of Lightning. Those who wish to travel to and from Cloud Village must use this path.

~Azure Dragon of the Third Wing~  [Weapons Master][Head of the Raiton Clan][Sword Style Unifier][Akira Magus Ryu] __________________
It had been a long journey coming from his home and village in Cloud. Magus, being the new leader of the Raiton Clan, had to frequently travel there to take care of buisness with family dealings. Making his way through the deep dense forest of the Fire Country, he was on a search for his Partner and Commanding Officer, The False Hand of the Second Wing. Magus, wasn't known throughout the world as The Azure Dragon of the Third Wing, as the group was still a mystery and he rather kept it like that.
He stopped as he recalled, upon what village did the False Hand resigned from. Thinking on the past, he remember it was right here in the Leaf village as the man was indeed a Uchiha. He probably went to deal with some family matters of his own. Uchihas, unlike his own clan, were always at battle with each other when it came to "true" power. The legendary Eternal Eyes, the final evolution of the Uchiha clan of which can only be obtain by killing a Kin. Something of which wasn't known in the Raiton clan as Family was higher than everything else in the world. Well...that and killing fellow kin gained you nothing but enemies and bad blood. He decided, while he waited, he turned and head towards Fire Mountain. Volcanos were another great source of electrical energy and a great place to meditate while he looked over the landscape. The way Uchihas fight, finding the False Hand shouldnt be that hard.
