Sailor Galatea was starting to think of herself as hardening up to this senshi life. Not in the sense that she was getting tougher, but she was beginning to stop being so blatantly terrified when something popped up at her. Experience is what her mind told her, but she liked to think it was because she was starting to better understand the power that she held. It wasn't totally useless on its own since she could technically try to throw a hit or a kick. Being as petite as she was, it would probably bounce off of most Negaverse agents. She'd never try that on a youma; it'd probably try to eat her!
She knew that it was foolish to continue this solitary patrol, but she had no set partner...yet. And she didn't know of any senshi that lived near her...yet. Things would come in time. Right now she was patrolling on the rooftops, away from the streets where she usually was, testing her jumps and her stamina.
"Let's hope I don't break something," she mumbled to herself as she stood on the rooftop of an apartment building to catch her breath.

You know, Fukalite was beginning to get the hang of this. Collecting energy had become routine and she grown to enjoy jumping from rooftop to rooftop. Although it was rather cumbersome having to stay up late sucking energy from random people every night to meet her quota, the boosted physical abilities sort of made up for it. She would never have imagined that she would be able to pull off something as fancy as this! The feel of the cool summer breeze against her face was rather refreshing and it was a completely new experience to explore the town from a bird’s eye view.
Heck, she had managed to tangle herself in a couple of skirmishes! Most of them were nothing much: exchanging a couple of punches until the senshi chose to flee the scene before garnering further damage to herself. It was pathetic and disappointing. Until, of course, Fukalite had encountered that knight. That fight had been tougher and her muscles were still aching a bit from the battle. Oh well. She was sure to meet tougher foes in the future.
“What’s this?” Fukalite curiously stared straight ahead as she observed the leaping figure of someone else. They were still a bit too far away to discern their appearance, but at least she could tell that it was another senshi. Well, well. “You look awfully lonely, why don’t I join you?” She called out, grinning.

Startled, Galatea's head shot up. She saw a figure from a distance away, but it was a little too hard for her to tell exactly who it was. She closed her eyes for just a moment, and realized that the energy around the form...was not a positive one. She was starting to feel more confident, but she was never really ready for a fight. And this stuff always broke out into some sort of fight.
"Why not indeed," Galatea replied, knowing that no matter what she said this Negaverse agent would probably come at her anyway. She still didn't understand the fighting. Maybe she'd try to get an answer out of this one.

Encounters were inevitable, Fukalite knew this. Try as she might, she would always meet up with a senshi or knight. Sometimes she would flee due to prior injuries or their advanced level, other times they would choose to escape for reasons she assumed to be similar to her own. As much as she would prefer to never fight, that was a naïve wish that could just never come true. It was better to gain some experience now, while she was still new and had an excuse to be a pathetic fighter.
She sped up, as the senshi didn’t seem to have any intentions of slowing down anytime soon. Fukalite grinned. She wasn’t sure what to expect, but nonetheless she plunged her hand into the subspace, pulling out her sparkler. Then out of her pockets she brandished a lighter—hey, her sparkler didn’t light on its own!

Galatea was certain that she'd probably lose this one, but she was (uncomfortably) getting used to losing. She kept telling herself that this was the best way she'd learn. Her mistakes had to be known, and she had to toughen up a bit. Still, that didn't make her injuries hurt any less when she was in fights.
She was ready to confront the agent, but the sudden appearance of the sparkler was a bit startling. She should have known better, but her fights always began with the negaverse agent's weapon already out. Why did she always have to learn things in the midst of battle? She really didn't do well when anything surprised her.
With a gasp, she braced herself. "Looking for some energy, huh?"

In the beginning, Fukalite had chosen to fight hand-to-hand rather than rely on her dinky sparkler. It was a sparkler, the best—and practically only—thing she could do was light the stick and jab it into the nearest patch of skin that she saw. Sure, it burned and stung, but the affected area was so miniscule she considered the weapon to be nearly useless. It was particularly troublesome when she would encounter water senshi through a stroke of bad luck—a wet sparkler did not light very easily. She was starting to abandoning her previous opinion of her weapon—any damage that could be done should be done. Fukalite crossed her arms and the sparkler lit up with a quiet hiss.
“To be honest, I was just looking for a fight, but snagging some senshi energy wouldn’t be too bad either.” She smirked, sprinting even faster as she swung her sparkler, aiming at Galatea’s arms.

Galatea frowned, still feeling a little nervous about the sparkler. She wasn't great enough on her feet to not get burned by it.
"So you enjoy fighting?" she asked, keeping herself on her toes as she tried to judge what the negaverse agent wanted to do next. She must be of a lower level if her weapon was only a sparkler, but there might be something more to it than just that. Galatea wasn't going to let her guard down just because her enemy wasn't holding a sharp, pointy weapon.
"I'm sorry I'm not a good fight," she added on, trying to see what the other would say to her. Maybe more information, or Galatea might just get a swift kick for her efforts. The girl wasn't that good at baiting.

“Well, not particularly.” Fukalite did not mind fighting. Sometimes a skirmish could not be avoided, but other times it was wiser to escape the scene before she got in over her head. However, avoiding fighting was definitely not an option. Being a Negaverse officer meant it was impossible to escape confrontation, so why not just seek out a couple fights to get in some practice? The more she fought the more experience she would gain, and the better of she would be.
Galatea may not have been good at baiting, but Fukalite was good at being secretive. “Oh, that’s alright, dear. Fighting is still fighting, regardless of your skills.” She smiled amiably as she swung at Galatea again, the sparkler in her hands crackling softly.
