I have gotten asked quite a lot How I sprite and What programs I use. Well this is for all you people who want to learn how to do it yourself Below will be images of the tutorials I have made. The program I use is a free download called GIMP you can find it in this link hereThe tutorial for it is below if you use this please feel free to show me what you have done I would be interested to see what you make ^^ For your spriting pleasure here are the sprites from Ruby Saphire all the way to Black and white feel free to use them to sprite Sprite page 1Sprite page 2Sprite page 3Sprite page 4VS spritesalso there are more VS sprites those are just the ones i have used. If you want to find more VS sprites merely look up the individuals name on Bulbapedia and if they have a VS it will show lower on the page. Some people do not have VS like the Generation 3 gym leaders.
Also here are some
Gimp Hot keys (short cuts)
Ctrl C = Copy
Ctrl V = Paste
Ctrl X= Cut
Ctrl Z= Undo
Ctrl Y= Redo
+ = Zoom in
- = Zoom out
Ctrl S= Save
you must hold both buttons at once ^^
except on the zoom keys which only have one button
Those are the basic ones I use

Dark-Velvet-Revolver --I Am--The--Recruit-- I don't understand... its not coming out spritey... emo ???? what isn't? are you working on something if you need help you can show me what you have so far and i can try to help you. how do you change the direction and arms, etc and also hov do you get it to be sprite-like like that, i just get the pic again

--I Am--The--Recruit-- nvm i'll leave the spriting to you guys... xd I don't change directions of arms >.> i pick a sprite that has the pose I want <.< and u can switch directions with the flip tool next to the Text tool (the giant A) and are you making things from scratch even I don't do that... I just add stuff on top xD and sorry i swear i quoted you >.> bleh stupid computer XD

--I Am--The--Recruit-- ah, i see... but still. i don't have enough knowledge of this stuff... i don't even know how to photoshop sweatdrop well then just start by playing with it gimp is one of those things that the more you play with it the more you learn how to use it ^^

Sermaster2 Hehe mine did not turn out so well XD (The sprite is in the signature) Anyway, thanks for the awesome tutorial! oh did u unclick anitializing his wings look like you didn't anitializing makes the edges blur (its on each of the tools on the top bar its lame) and i think its a great first try actually ^^ Try shading it (adding dary grays to the black and light grays to the white areas) and maybe make the eyes a little bigger ^^ then i think its really nice ^^

Sermaster2 Lol the extra help must be pulling a huge lift off your shoulders. I still don't think that I can handle this many orders for sprites if I was you XD I basically have signed my life and soul over to this shop >.> idk if ur that hardcore about it XD but thats what happens when i open a giant shop in the pokemon forum. But its also why if people ask me if they can work for the shop i feel free to let them 1 most of the people who ask end up being fairly good and 2 less work for me XD
