Aagiro had found the pridelands to be very pleasant, and the lions of the pride only more so. For the most part, in any case. She was sure any that found she and Nen less welcome kept their maws quiet and their pad falls away from the strangers. Even if they'd been here for a few days, they were still strangers. It was alright, this was a time spent with Nen she would likely not forget. In fact, she was positive she would not forget any of it from the moment he'd entered her life. Of course, at least these last few days would be good memories. Even if they didn't really speak that much and it was still all a little awkward and stuff...

She sighed and shrugged off the uneasy feeling that had settled on her shoulders, padding along a sandy area. Night had seemed to blanket the pride, little speckles of stars shinning all over the sky. They were beautiful, as the lands were. Her tail flickered as she moved along slowly and easily, dark gaze seeking out the company of another. It was always nice meeting new lions, rogues and pride cats alike.

At one point Kiume had been an outsider, a stranger to the pride. He had been a rogue almost all his life until he had heard about the Tuait'tekem. So far things had been great and this home may have been exactly what he needed. Kiume always wanted to settle down and have a family at one point and at least he's completed half of his goals.

Today's patrol was rather tiresome or maybe it was the fact that the temperature was almost unbearable that made him a little more exhausted than usual. He began making his way back towards the Temple considering he had been patrolling all day. It was getting dark so all of the children should be safely within the Temple and most adults were already withdrawing for the night except for a dark figure somewhat close to him. Kiume knew a lot of lions but he didn't recognize this one. Apart of him wanted to say something to her but his mind began to race and question everything.... As he continued getting closer to her Kiume continued to wrestle with his own thoughts.

Aagiro did not mind the night, it had been the time she and her traveling companion had traveled during for the most part. She was much more a fan of the day though, as well as the high temperatures of heat. Sure it sometimes felt like she was baking alive due to her mostly dark coat, but it also felt good, being warm. Especially if one could find a big enough watering hole in a shady area. With this pride you just had to go in that weird cave they called the temple. Though Aagiro should probably stop calling it a cave, she'd learned a little about this and that from some of the pride members. They seemed happy to speak of their pride, if the other party was interested.

Her dark eyes caught sight of the male and her ears perked. A smile bloomed on her face and she shifted her gait to head directly for him. Aagiro was usually very open and outgoing, strangers never bothered her. "Hello there." She called softly, slowing as she got to him.

Nighttime was a relief for him because he still wasn't used to the heat. Though he wished that he had better nighttime vision... then he could patrol at night with ease. Kiume had been so wrapped in his thoughts that he almost didn't hear her greeting. Lifting his head, Kiume smiled widely at the dark lioness. "Hello!" Even though he was exhausted, he was always excited to meet new lions. "Heading back to the temple?" The lion was eager to escort her back if she needed it and he was already heading there in the first place.

Kiume felt familiar little knots forming in his stomach because Aagiro was a rather pretty female. This always happened when he met a lioness for some reason and he was surprised that he hadn't started stuttering yet.

She smiled at him and when he asked his question she seemed to consider it a moment, turning to walk with him. "Yes, I think I will do just that." She stated softly, tail flicking. "I was just checking out the lands a little more. It will take a little longer to get used to, I think." Aagiro had an easy time speaking to others, for the most part. Especially if her mood wasn't soured, and it seemed the only lion who was able to get under her skin so easily was Ammon'nen.

"I'm new here." She continued, glancing to the male and practically beaming. "With my... with my mate." She almost purred the words out, she was delighted to finally be able to say that to someone else. Ammon'nen and she... mates. It made her giddy, even now. "My name is Aagiro." She introduced herself, waiting to hear his name in turn.

Nodding, Kiume gazed at her curiously and a smile returned to his expression. "Have you just joined the pride? The lands are very nice but you'll definitely see different things depending on the time of day. I'm a guardian and I patrol the borders daily and watch over daily life."

Her mate? Kiume didn't know why this stood out in particular or maybe it was because he knew that was what was missing from his own life. "It's a pleasure to meet you Aagiro. I'm Kiume and I actually joined the pride a little while ago. I've settled down quite well and I'm sure that you and your mate will do great here. The pride is so nice..."

He had wandered for most of his life so to have some place to call home and to see familiar faces every day was something he was grateful for.

"Yes, very recently we joined." She answered, tail flickering. Oh everything was working out wonderfully, she couldn't have been a happier lioness. "It's nice to meet you as well Kiume. It's good to know you've settled down so easily and in such a short time. It gives me hope to do the same." She chuckled softly, wondering what else to speak of.

"I think I will head back to the temple now, if you'd still like to walk that way?" It wouldn't be a long walk, but it was nice to have company besides Nen for once.
