Being The Character:

~Choose a character you will like. Don't worry about who the trendy character is, always choose what makes you happy not others.

~Give yourself plenty of time to get the costume done. This applies to those who want to get the outfit close to perfection. There are some who don't mind throwing items together, and think it is fun. I have done it before.

~Never go overboard with personality. Ex#1: Your character comes off as a butthead on their show, but that doesn't mean you should be rude to someone who is asking for directions. EX#2: Your character is a boy crazy girl, you don't need to hug every man you see. (this could be awkward/scary)


Character Outfit:

~Always check around for items such as, shoes, accessories, wigs, material, etc. You never know when a better price may pop up.

~Wash as well as iron your outfits. This makes them appear fresh, and clean cut. Wrinkles sometimes make outfits look completely different.

~Brush your wigs with a wig brush >.< I know this sounds odd, however one wig brush can go a long way. If you use a normal brush after so much use the wig may begin to tangle and become aggravating to deal with.


Smile For The Camera:

~Do a little research on your characters' poses. You may know your character inside and out, but you never want to throw a pose out that doesn't suit them.

~Practice in front of the mirror, and then others. The mirror will help you perfect facial expressions, foot setting, and propping/holding weapons. Having your friends help will make your angles turn out perfect, and a fresh outlook on the poses.

~Don't be rude to those asking for pictures. They only want a shot, because they think your cosplay is awesome. If you don't want them to ask all the time set up a time for people to take pictures of you. However, you will still get those who want your picture it comes with the cosplaying territory.
