There's a bill making its way around Congress that could very make fan art and fan fiction illegal. Such an act inhibits the First Amendment, and only serves a few fat cats who stand to get richer from this bill, all the while hurting artists, musicians and writers. That is totally horrible! scream How can they make fan-fics illegal for!? What have we done wrong? I never heard of such nonsense! That's totally discrimination right there!

Though I hate the bill, and I pray it is never passed, it does have a point to it, which I hate to say. I guess some companies got annoyed with some of their fans "works" and finally just hit their limit.
Lets all pray that it isn't passed.
Edit: It says it was posted May 12, 2011. Almost a year ago. Would it still exist?

Would it still exist? Some companies being annoyed with "fan works"? This dosen't sound right to me. I hope and pray that never passes. This would kill the freedom not just to us but other sites like youtube, Deviant art, Sheezy art, and so on. It would put fan artists out of commision. I think this is another government scheme to put us good and unique people down. This stupid government only cares of whats convinent for them and not for the people. I wonder if that goes internationally or is this just for the U.S.?

I bet the white house would get bombed by a foregin country who would agree with US Citizens. Im not saying it's the right thing to do, but it could happen. We all remember what happened to those guys from New Zeanland right? The owners of Megaupload got arrested and their site shut down without a fair trial and the head owner facing 50 years in prison. The US went far aginst their own jouristiction and I say that went way too far. Megaupload was once a big rescorce for backups, sharing files, and even that's where I got most of my touhou torrents from. Not to mention some buisnesses also depended on that site for things too (according to Anonymous) and they attacked the FBI's sites to avenge Megaupload. Pretty soon, cyber war is gonna happen some day and im not suprised if this community and the rest of other touhou communities would join the battle.

If these stupid bills may not have passed but is influencing the government of the US to take action anyway, then obviously the US government HAS commited treason against it's citizens along with the world it swore to serve and protect those in need. Once America was named "the land of the free" now gonna end up being called "the land of the trapped" or "the facist land"?

It's kinda like many emperors in China. In order to get support from the people, they claim justice and freedom. After getting power, they fulfill those promises with tyranny and fascism.
