Where did the year go? Already he was walking around as a knob, albeit a very weak one following his demise during Savage's well... savage exam. Covered in scrapes and scabs, Bul looked far less than ready for any sort of physical exertion but he wasn't going to let it take him down and ruin his summer. No, instead he was going to be in peak physical shape for the bruteball season. But first, he had to do something.

Something very important... and very scary.

Quote:
HIRING STUDENTS FOR SWIMMING LESSONS
Knob seeking swimming lessons from experienced peers - pay in seeds, experience, resume value, awesome s**t.

DETAILS
Where: The Bog
When: October ((July)) 12th
Snacks are provided! Help desperately needed appreciated.

The flyers went up around the school with no signature or sign of WHO exactly wrote them. It was very obvious they wished to disclose their name only when instructors showed. Bul was nervous he'd never revealed his fear to anyone and it was hard for a guy like him to admit.

It's the cold, honest! would be his excuse. Still even in the warmest of waters, Bul had a hard time dipping in. Being cold blooded didn't mean he couldn't swim so it was time he corrected this... and possibly DIE trying!

---

Waiting at the bog with a cooler filled carelessly with sodas and snack packs, the half beast nervously flicked his tail and popped a can open, the fizz pouring over the can of Dr Death. Who would show up? And knowing it was him would they still provide him with the help he needed?

"Man what am I doing... WHAT am I doing?" he whimpered to himself and squirmed a bit before walking to the water's edge as if it'd magically make him swim. "

The flyer seemed somewhat strange. Mot tilted his head a bit, reading it over. Having some extra cheddar was always a good thing, and what better way than a small job? Well, other than gambling? Maybe it was a better idea to do this odd job then to gamble what little he had left. Probably.

The day came. Mot found his way to the bog, dressed for swimming, and looking for whoever it was that needed help. The poster never said who it was. This made it quite difficult to locate them. But soon enough, there stood a boil with a cooler full of snacks and beverages. This must be it? He seemed to be the only one there.

Mot was certain he knew this boil. He'd seen him at Prom, and even back in Fitness Club. "Howdy, partner." Mot called out with a wave. "Are you the one who put out the flyers?"

There were good times had back at the ol' watering hole back in the foggy mountain side of Levi's town. When she peered at the posters that were up regarding swimming and the learning of it, the tatzel tiled her head with a smile. She could give it a whirl- help out a fellow student who lacked water legs (not that she particularly had them in natural form...). She was a fair swimmer and enjoyed wavering around in the water; payment never really came off as a driving force for Levi in any given situation.

Why not? Tearing one of the flyers off the wall, she read off the location and made the proper preparations to get ready for some swimming.

On the day of reckoning, Levi bounded over to the area she'd briefly seen once before; the bog. As things cleared, the tatzel saw Mot standing there. Was he the one who called for this? Trouble with yer water legs, cowboil? She smirked at the back of the boil before another figure developed through the fog. OH! Aye thar, Bul! Ready fer some waterin'? ...she figured Bul must've come for the food. He looked a bit distraught, but ... maybe he was having stomach troubles? Flicking at the seam of her swim suit bottom momentarily, she waved over to the half beast with a grin. Meeting the side of Mot, she playfully nudged the prince him in the shoulder with an elbow. Thought ya said ya'll could-

Wheels were turning then. Mot had told her once before that he was capable of swimming. Which meant...

Bul?

Jove had seen the flyers floating around campus, but it wasn't the thought of lessons or payment that motivated him to come to the bog, it was sheer curiosity.

He was not the strongest swimmer out there, in spite of his previous lessons with Yaya, and then time with Calder. The biggest thing he had going for him in the water was that he couldn't drown. He could get stuck at the bottom of a pool, maybe, but he wouldn't drown. So when he appeared at the edge of the bog and saw Seiji's friend Bul hovering around the water's edge, his ears perked up. But he didn't approach right away, it was easier for the little pup to stay where he was, partially hidden behind a couple trees.

It wasn't even a minute before another student arrived, and Jove's little ears flopped back when he realized it was a reaper. And then Levi came too! He was sure she would beat the reaper to a pulp if he tried anything, so the little ghost finally felt more comfortable coming out of his hiding place to approach the trio.

Quite frankly, the various fliers had Jericho curious. He wasn't the best swimmer around; he preferred the land and air for sure, but he knew how to get around the water. It did seem that there were a fair number of students who didn't know how to swim and well, it wouldn't really do to have people drowning in case more boats would be involved in the future.

So he decided to see if there was anything he could do to possibly help.

Besides, he didn't really have anything else to do at the moment.

Reaching the area, he saw Bul, Mot, Levi, and a ghost pup all in the same spot. Blinking, he looked between the four, not sure who was the one that needed help.

"Uh... hey guys. Who needs help?"
PostPosted: Tue Jul 12, 2011 12:44 pm

Mot looked over to Levi, quirking an unseen brow. Did.. she think the lessons were for him? "Actually..."

Suddenly, Mot's sixth sense chimed in. He knew there was a ghost nearby, his eyes lidded as he glanced toward the trees hidden in fog. Yeah, there was definitely a ghost nearby, and they seemed to be approaching.

Meh.

Oh, but there was Jericho. Mot smiled again, giving the boil a wave. "I believe its him who needs the help." Mot pointed to Bul. "He'll certainly have enough teachers." That wasn't such a bad idea.

Turning to Mot, Bul gave a 'sup' nod and smiled. Luckily he didn't know this guy well enough. Quickly, he darted away from the edge to grab a soda and toss it to the reaper. "I am indeed. Are you here to help out? I mean.. I kinda know a little bit about swimming but uh..."

Then Levi entered the scene and Bul couldn't help but hide his face in shame behind his can of Dr Death. "Hey uh Levi." Already the tatzel whooped his a** at his own game of snot ball he had a hard time imagining how he could be more de-masculated than that.

"...." She thought MOT was the one who needed help. Jack help him now.

'Help' came in the form of fluffy ghost pup Jove and Bul hunched near his cooler. I bet he could swim circles around me.. he thought, the panic-stricken expression slowly growing stronger as the monster boil imagined the ghost dog dunking him in the water and then later dragging his bloated corpse on shore to-

"JERICHO!" Bul practically screamed before slamming his hand over his mouth. "Errr... hey there man wassup? You gonna help us out too?" Sheepishly Bul stood with his tail wrapped around his scratched legs and crossed his arms tightly over his chest. "Yes you guys are all going to be wonderful teachers.. I just know it. My parents gave me a lot of seeds before the break so I think I can cover each of you."

Turning back to the bog again now, the half beast took a deep breath. "I figured I'd have people come here because its relatively shallow.. I think.. I mean that's what Calder said. Plus it's warm so we won't FREEZE TO DEATH!"

When Mot pointed out Bul, Jericho turned and grinned to the lizard. He wasn't aware that the guy was one of the non-swimmers but it didn't matter all that much to him.

"Not much man. And yeah I'll help you out however I can," the dragon said with a nod. His eyes lit up at the mention of the water being warm.

"Definitely good to know," he nodded. He really didn't want to be staying in cold water for too long. Jericho wasn't cold blooded but he hated to feel chilled. If anything the amount of heat he generated normally made it easier for him to feel cold too.

"So uh.. what do you know exactly?" he asked with a tilt of the head. If Bul could at least float then that'd make things a little easier.

Mot caught the drink with a grin, opening up fora swig. "Yep. Always free to lend out a helping hand." The mention that seeds would indeed be distributed, Mot smiled. Oh good. He could use them. He loved to help, but at the same time, it was nice to get a little something in return every once in a while.

It was comforting to know the water here was warm. No boil wanted to take a cold dip. Just... no.

Jove skittered around the reaper, giving him a wide berth to stand between Levi and Bul. He watched them for a bit, everyone seemed to know each other, even the dragon who came after him. After a minute he wandered over to peer into the cooler, and then trotted over to the water's edge.

Simply peering in didn't give him much attention, the water was slightly murky, and it was hard to see the bottom. Temperature didn't mean much to the pup, so he wasn't concerned about freezing to death, but what did worry him was the thought of creatures lurking in the bog... The pup wouldn't admit it, but he was quite bite-sized by many standards.

He yawned nervously and backed up a couple steps. Maybe the dragon could go in first...

Dark fingers came to rest on Jove's shoulders as he took a step back. The Djinn bending so she could peer over the small whisp's shoulder at everyone that had gathered, chuckling faintly. She'd of course seen the fliers put up by her favorite half-beast, and having already shown a group of friends to swim she figured she'd come along to see if Bul could use a hand. "Am I in time for the fun?"

Glowing eyes came to land on Bul himself, and she offered the tall boil a reassuring sort of smile. Straightening so she could step up beside the whisp, her hand resting fondly on his shoulder. "You look a little nervous." She was teasing him, but not maliciously.

Endless lengths of dark hair was drawn back in a thick braid, and the ghoul had exchanged rich attire for a simple white sundress over her favorite blue bikini. Feet were, as per usual, completely bare save the intricate stain of henna that climbed her ankles to cover nearly every inch of long legs.

The others gathered about were giving a cheerful smile and a wiggle of fingers. She knew Jericho, not exceptionally well, but enough. Levi she'd met at a sleep over, and the ghoul seemed very nice, if a little rough around the edges. The cowboil's name escaped her, but he too seemed the friendly sort. Curiously she wondered who among them could swim, and who was in the same boat at Bul.

What DO I know...

Bul knew how to thrash wildly and exasperate himself to the point of being too weak to swim. It was like a step backwards from square one!

"I just kinda know how to beat my way around-" he replied to Jericho as he once more approached the water, though leaving the cooler for anyone who wanted to snag something to eat or drink. "It's not very effective at all I've noticed. Not to mention when I see people swim they usually-"

The half beast paused when Yaya approached and his eye's twinkled for a split second. He'd seen her swim impressively when Icky was thrown off the Risk Factor. "No you're pretty much on time. We were about to get started... I think?"

Bul turned to his gang of turn outs and held his arms up. "Listen guys, I'm INCREDIBLY nervous. Volatilely so. So I want to apologize in advance... I might get a little worked up... there might be some drama... but I assure you that I am hear to listen to anything and everything you have to say. Let's get started then shall we?"

He turned back to the water and pulled off his clothes revealing his swim trunks and rubbed his arms. A tuft of air escaped his mouth and he did a couple stretches, some mundane, and stood with his ankles submerged. "Okay so... uh.. what should I do first, just... jump? Run in really fast? I think we should start in the shallow end most definitely!"

Splashing the water in front of him with his tail he gestured for everyone who wanted to jump in.

Woah. Who was the ghoul? He'd never seen her before. New friend? Yay~

Mot paused as Bul asked what to do first, pausing for a moment completely still. "Don't... jump in." he warned, chugging back the drink he'd been offered and setting it on the ground. "Not unless you want to risk drowning. Not that you don't have your pick of rescuers here to save you on a moments notice." The boil slipped out of his flip flops, to which he was glad to be out of. Not having boots was blasphemy!

The cowboil wandered past the ghoul and ghost, and stood with Bul. "With you let's.. start slow." He suggested, a reassuring grin on his face. Mot waded into the water until he was waist deep. "Alright, get in here, trainee!" He turned, waving him in.

Glancing over towards the ghost pup, Jericho blinked as the guy seemed... a little nervous? He had to wonder if he too needed help swimming. It was hard to tell. Soon, Yaya had decided to join them as well. Now, the water djinn should definitely be able to help out Bul.

At least that's what he thought.

Waving to her, he glanced briefly at the others, then turned towards the half-beast.

"Just jump on it," he grinned before tossing off his shirt and shoes. That expression took a slightly devious turn as he faced the water and started to run towards it. He didn't just run though as he took flight briefly before letting himself drop down to basically cannon ball into the pond.

Looked like she wasn't the only one curious about who exactly was needing the help here; Jove and Jericho arrived shortly after. Before she could ask the same thing Jericho had, Mot answered.

Bul. It was indeed Bul.

She couldn't help but blink dimly for a moment before grinning at Bul's meek greeting. He'd proven himself before (had one heck of a wrestling arm); she had no reason to really judge him harshly in this case when he was obviously strong enough to admit he had a weakness and sought to correct it. That sort of act took some guts and brains, she figured.

Pleasure ta help out 'nother classmate! Ain' gotta worry none 'bout payin', really. Doin' it fer tha fun'a it, really! Jericho asked another important question to which Levi was also quite interested in hearing the answer for when she perked at Jove. Smiling down at the boil, she watched him edge over to the bog and then retreat slightly in distaste. hmm~ Just how was the water? Then Yaya appeared; she'd recalled the ghoul from the sleepover and nodded a greeting to the ghoul.

Bul expressed his nervousness then to the group before suggestively motioning for everyone to give the water a try. Levi was game. She watched Bul and Mot walk their ways into the water before Jericho did something a little more up her alley. NOW YER TALKIN' - it was a challenge that wasn't directly issued, but like at home, diving dramatically was one of the best ways to get into the water.

Now thats tha' way ta do it! Whaaahooo~!

She ran towards the edge and bounced off her tail into the water. Scaling the bog floor with her tail working behind her in a wavering motion, she surfaced to flip her hair back and tread happily. A toothy grin was the look she gave to the dragon boil with approval and then to the half beast. She kneaded at the water in front of her to get a bit closer to Bul and Mot, lifting a hand and flicking her wrist to gesture for them to come a bit more in. Bul, ...maybe try n' see how far ya'll can come in before yer knees start their shakin'? The tatzel wanted to know his limits; would he go waist deep? knee? shoulder?...
