Character Name: Nena Sininger
Player Name: Kazu-chan
Race: Majin
Aspirations: She wants to find a Witch to help make her strong and prove that being Majin doesn't make someone evil.
Short Biography/background: Nena was born into a rather well off family, who owned a house much too large for their small three person family. Her parents enjoyed a lavish life style, and having a child to raise at home did little to slow down their high society partying. From an early age, Nena learned to put all her toys back in their proper place after playing with them or risk a sharp slap from her mother. Her mother couldn't tolerate even the smallest of messes in her house. Her parents were quite strict and punished any misbehavior or attempts to talk back to them.
When she was eleven, her parents died while out at sea when their boat was caught in a violent storm. Nena didn't feel much of anything for her parents after they died. They had never showed her much in the way of love. But the empty feeling inside made her start to suspect maybe she wasn't quite right. After all, what kind of normal human felt nothing when their parents died? She inherited barely any of her parent's fortune because of their debts.
Her uncle took her in after that. They first met at the funeral for her parents. The man was much warmer and caring than her parents. Nena didn't know how to react to this vastly different figure of authority. He didn't yell at her if she accidentally spilled something, and he actually liked when she spoke her mind, though it took him a lot of prodding to get her to not blindly agree to everything he said. Her uncle had a small fortune gained from inheritance, but unlike his brother, Nena's father, her uncle was much more reserved in his spending of money. He believed that just because he had money, that was no reason to waste it all on meaningless partying. He wanted to instill in Nena to work hard and not take what she had for granted, to be responsible unlike her parents. As the years passed, Nena started to open up more under her uncle and learned to feel something more beyond that emptiness left by her parents' cold, distant attitude toward her in her early years.

Character Name: Melanthe Player Name: xdeathxbyxlovex Race: Human..... (or so she thinks) Aspirations: To become a reaper and rid the world of witch-eaters Short Biography/background:
Melanthe dragged her suitcase into the halls of Makai Royal Academy. "Whoa, what a big school." She looked back at the cab that brought her here. It hadn't driven off yet; she still could turn around and leave. No she wouldn't; she had to go through with this. She dug into her pocket and took out her talisman-- a little blue fish keychain, the last memory of her family. She closed her eyes and pressed her lips to it. "I will make my family happy and proud of me. I have to do this. I won't stop until every Witch-Eater out there is destroyed." The night her whole family was slaughtered came back to her.
"Mom what's wrong?" Her mom kept looked out the windows and shook. She grabbed Melanthe and threw her in the closet. "Listen to me Melanthe, I want you stay hidden in the closet just like this and don't come out till I come for you. okay? No matter what you hear do not come out, or make any noise." She had Melanthe rest flat on the ground then put sheets over her piling bundles of clothes on top of her. "Remember what I said Melanthe don't come out of the closet, don't make any noise, don't even move. Stay completely still." With that her mother was gone. Melanthe followed her mother's instructions even when she heard the blood curdling screams. Days turned into nights. If it wasn't for her stomach grumbling she would have stayed there longer. She moved from under the sheet and clothes and walked out of the closet. "I hope mom doesn't get mad at me but I'm so hungry." She took two steps away from her room and stopped dead in her tracks, screaming. There on the floor was her mom and dad and little brother... dead. Their hearts consumed.....
"Are you all right?" Melanthe blinked her eyes and realized that she had fallen on the floor in the middle of hall in the school. "Yes, I'm alright I..." What can she say without looking like a freak? The episodes were happening again. This always happened when she thought about her family. She still couldn't get the stare of her mom's lifeless eyes as they looked at her. She couldn't even remember her mother's laughter without remembering her screams. To her, vengeance will cool the blazing anger inside her.

Character Name: Minali Darzi Player Name: Mizu_Taji Race: Human Aspirations: Currently to use her abilities to help her family Short Biography/background:
Minali is a simple girl from a simple family. Her father makes his living as a fisherman, while her mother is a tailor. Sadly though, there aren't many fish to fill her father's nets nor are there many customers to keep her mother's needle busy, so the three barely scraped by. Even in the midst of this poverty, the three were happy to have each other, and that's all that was needed.
Minali is very naive to the world around her. Her parents never bothered explaining much to her because they never expected her to be able to go anywhere due to the extreme lack of money. She has no idea what a Majin is or how dangerous they can be. She knows how to read and write, but is only at a 3rd grade level of mathematics. She even thought witches were just fairy tales until she discovered that she herself was one.
Heading off to school for the first time ever in clothes that are neat and clean instead of tattered and worn, Minali finds herself almost overwhelmed. The only thing that keeps her from having an all out anxiety attack is her father's most prized possession, a fish carved from blue stone. However, she has a bad habit of chewing on it when she's nervous.

Character Name: Tiel Cielvar Player Name: Orangeish Sherbert Race: Majin Aspirations: To make the world a little brighter: Witch Eater Short Biography/background: From the moment she was born her parents knew she was special. Her hair was such a shockingly different color then either of theirs, her eyes matching the color perfectly. Soon after she was born, perhaps an hour or so, she looked right at her mother and then gave the sweetest smile, while one of the witch nurses made a little noise, a hand moving to grab at her chest for a moment.
Yes. From that moment her mother was so proud. Her child would indeed become a powerful Witch Eater someday, just like she was. While at home, Olivia Cielvar taught her daughter everything that she could think of, helping to hone the magic that her beloved child possessed. When Tiel finally turned seventeen, she packed her bags then after taking one last glance at her family, she waved and made her way to the Royal academy, knowing that she first had to find a ‘friend’ in order to ensure she would have enough Mana to feed on.
Upon arriving at her dorm room, Tiel wasn’t pleased. There wasn’t enough color, the whole place had a drab feeling about it. Taking a piece of paper, she cut out the shape of a fish, then another and another, finally, stringing them all together, hanging them over her window. She looked the new decorations over, then grabbed the end of one, closing her eyes, turning the paper fish to a brilliant color, the same as her hair and eyes. Perfect. Of course it was perfect. Everything was always perfect, and on the off chance that it wasn't, she would make it perfect.
Tiel gave a satisfied little smile, then left the room, in search for two things; a ‘Friend’ and another Witch Eater. Someone else to learn from.

Character Name: Riba Samudra Player Name: Syusaki Race: Human Aspirations: To become an Ars Lilium and travel the land; eventually oversee her parents’ restaurant Short Biography/background: Smiling as she nibbled on a fish-shaped cookie her mother had baked this morning, Riba wiggled her toes into the sand as she waded through the edge of the lake. Thin shadows of baby fish darted through the water, snaking between her legs and darting behind mossy rocks submerged beneath the freshwater. She leaned forward, nimble fingers reaching past the swimming fish to sift through the treasure trove buried in the dirt. Riba flicked away various stones, round and smooth from years of water erosion. When she failed to find what she came for, she waddled deeper into the waters.
“Riba, have you found me some clams, yet?” She heard her mother hollering behind her.
“Uhhhh. Jus’ a minut—I found some!” Eyes glowing, she scooped up a handful of white shells. Riba gently rubbed her fingers over the ridges before turning around and running back to the restaurant, waving the clams in the air. “See? I got some!”
She stumbled her way up the grassy hill, bare feet and all. As Riba passed through the backdoor, she heard her mother softly grumble to wipe her feet on the mat and slip on some shoes. “Do you want me to drop a knife and chop off your toes?”
The girl laughed, scratching her head. “Sorry! I always like going bare. Ya know that.” She rushed back outside and hastily wiped her feet with a dishrag before hopping back into her sneakers, worn and dirty from years of use. “Once I’m done washing ‘em I’ll put ‘em by the stove, okay?” Riba went through the cabinets, opening and closing doors until she found a small, metal bowl. The clams clattered into the container and she strolled over to the sink. “Mama, where’s Papa? Mimi?” The first time, her voice was easily drowned out by the sound of her mother frying a pan of rice. The second time, she hollered over the crackle and hissing steam.
“At home! The new season starts soon, so they need to finish harvesting and plant seeds,” her mother shouted back. “Do you mind helping them out? Fang and Li are here already.”
“Right-o, Mama!” She turned the sink off and dutifully placed the clams by the stove. Riba ran out the door, stopped, turned around, and playfully saluted her mother before rushing down the dirt pathway. She sprinted past other farms and sprawling vineyards—as expected of Clarus Arbor, but at least Riba enjoyed the scenery and the crisp air.
She arrived at a cottage, small yet homey nestled underneath swaying willow trees. “Mimi? Papa?” she called out.
“In the back, hun!” her father called back, voice low and hoarse as usual.
“Gotcha!” Riba ran to the back, hopping as she wriggled out of her shoes. She carelessly tossed them behind her.
“S-Sister!” gasped Mimi, “You shouldn’t go bare foot. What if you step on something sharp?”
Riba laughed, taking the large basket of apples out of her little sister’s shaking arms. “Dun worry, I have tough feet!”
“Shouldn’t you be packing? You’ll be leaving for the academy soon.”
“Ehh!? I wanna help ya first, though!”
Mimi smiled. “Okay.”
Riba climbed up an apple tree and began plucking the fruits off of the branches. “Ya know, I hope they have a lake for me to swim in. As big as the lake here!”
“I-I don’t think that’s possible, Sister…”

Character Name: Tequila Player Name: LunaRei_SilverBlood Race: Human Aspirations: To stand on her own two feet, and do something with her life, aside from sucking off the golden spoon handed to her. She wants to become a Reaper. Short Biography/background:
Tequila is part of a wealthy family. And as such, most of her life has been decided for her. She had to act like a lady; she was never allowed to join in the games that the boys would get too. She would have to have tea with the other girls, wear dresses and act proper. She was taught how to play instruments, and other domestic related things that were suitable for a female of her class. As Tequila aged, she never felt like she fit in. She didn’t want to follow in her parents footsteps. As per usual her family wanted to hire a private tutor to teach their young daughter. But Tequila wanted something different. The young girl never felt like she really fit into the high society life, and didn’t want to spend her time being a politician’s wife or anything like it. She wanted to be independent, this was very difficult for her family to comprehend, having been involved in arranged marriages for many generations.
Her parents, or rather her father, since her mother didn’t hold much authority in the matter. Compromised with Tequila that she would be allowed to attend the academy. Though in the back of his mind, she wouldn’t last a week, and he would get what he wanted. He under estimated her stubbornness.
But now, she was entering the academy, and it was her first time being on her own. Tequila is on the shy side, but loves to stir up some trouble. Tequila tends to be a bit full of different emotions, and can change in a matter of seconds. It is something she’ll grow out of… Learning to handle them better. But the young girl is charming, her manners are rather impeccable for someone her age. But the more she minds her manners the more she is likely to be mocking or humoring you. Tequila can be very ‘charming’ and use it in a manipulative manner. When she gets mad, Tequila is more likely to be passive aggressive because of her upbringing, but she tries to act tough, and confront the person / issue.
Tequila likes to think of herself as intelligent. And it’s not that she’s not… But she’s not above average. She likes to play classes off as not challenging enough, but in truth the classes are a challenge. And it’s a reality shock for her. It’s one of the first times that she has to really work… And it’s what she wants; she wants to learn to be independent, but she had no idea it would be this hard. And the longer she stays in the Academy the more likely she is to be cut off from the family because she’s rejecting them and their lifestyle. And the fact that she wants to be a Reaper, rather than an Ars lilium is beyond her family’s comprehension.

Character Name: Agana-Kai ((Which means blood-sea)) Player Name: ElvishSorceress Race: Majin? Aspirations: The seduce the vast powers of the ocean in order to better herself as a Majin, prospective witch eater. Short Biography/background: All those who enter the world are born in blood. But what of the girl born in the depths of dark waters? From birth, Agana-Kai was never wanted, never loved. Could the humans not understand the love that comes from parenting? Or could it be they knew this child was born evil and tried to get rid of her. Whatever the reason, she was tossed away without a thought into the raging sea. A quick and swift death, or so they thought. It is true.... tossed into the sea so mercilessly at such a young age, no human infant could ever survive that brutal cruelty. As the body died and became ravaged day by day by the power of the sea and all that inhabits it, the soul could not forgive. Unable to find a way from this hellish prison a new entity was born from confusion, loneliness and most of all, hate. They say there are entities that are human, but not truly. Feeding on magical energy instead, this was the fate of what was known as the Majin, and Agana-kai was no different. It is unknown how she was able to escape from the sea, but is it known that the first human to lay eyes on her saw an odd sighting indeed. Surrounded by smelly, raw fish, there were guts, bones and fins were everywhere. Although they weren't witch's hearts, the essence of eating spirits from the ocean seemed to appease the strange feral child. Luckily for the human, they too were a witch and saw this child as a challenge, and perhaps a new chapter in their life. Although Agana-kai didn't know it at the moment, the human trying to lead her from the loneliness, would also be the thing she desired most. Like all feral things, it took a while to try and tame Agana, but the witch was persistent. All she knew was that the aquatic haired girl had a fetish for raw fish. If the girl liked strange raw fish, then strange raw fish she would have. Unfortunately, it would be a little weird to walk around with a feral child eating raw fish and guts all the time. And so to disguise this, the witch's genius came into play. With a bit of magic and strange humor, she lured the child in the only way she could: Cookies. That's right, raw fish magically becoming blue frosted shaped fish cookies. They looked like a normal treat, and Agana could have her raw fish... needs? Normal or feral, cookies were the answer to capture what was left of the poor child's heart.

Character Name: Alma Murkwood Alma, a name likely derived from the Latin almus "nourishing". It also coincides with the Spanish word meaning "the soul".
Player Name: Kallysto Race: Majin, though she wouldn't know it. Aspirations: She aspires to be a reaper and protect her family. Short Biography/background:
Alma's beginnings were murky at best. The girl cannot remember anything of her true origins or where she really came from. In fact, if you were to ask her, she would be entirely befuddled as to what you meant by "true origins".
The young girl may not know it but the truth of her past is a family secret. She was born a majin, barely a new born, in fact, when tragedy befell her true family. Two full fledged witch eaters, lovers, perhaps, were hiding out in the forests surrounding Clarus Arbor for one very specific reason. She was pregnant.
The two had gone on a murderous spree and in one night destroyed four families. She had craved hearts. She insisted that her baby needed them, that her baby would be born soon. He did not question her. Whether it was in love of the chase, his own hunger, or care for his unborn infant is unknown.
Their feeding frenzy attracted the Reapers without delay and they were forced to flee into the forest, where they managed to hide long enough for her mother to give birth. With a gentle, tired smile, she named her beautiful girl Alma. The family was shortly split, however, when the reapers found their hiding place.
The father urged the mother to flee with the newborn in her arms and after an angry snarl at the Reapers, she was off. He managed to hold them off long enough for her mother to get to town. It was just about midnight when her mother pounded on a door to a home in Clarus Arbor. The family inside was hesitant to answer, knowing of the recent killings in town, but when they heard a baby cry, the mother of the family, Seras, ran to the door, unable to ignore the pitiful sounds.
The reaper woman quickly shoved the infant into her arms, muttering only the words "Please take Alma," and began to make her way back to her camp, fully intent on feasting on the heart of a reaper that night. What happened to her is a mystery.
However, Alma's tale is a much happier one.
The family quickly adopted her at Seras' command. Seras herself had recently lost a newborn and it seemed her Gods had given her a second chance at being a mother.
Alma's life after that was much the typical one. She grew, made friends, loved her family, and her mother and father heavily doted on her. They did notice, however, that she always seemed to be craving something...Alma herself could never quite put her finger on it but her mother assumed it was a sweet tooth, and thus, Alma is always craving something sweet and often times seen with some sort of candy or cookie perched between her lips.

Character Name: xDoloessa Cliff
Player Name: xVella C Raptor
Race: xMajin
Aspirations: xShe seeks to become an Ars Lilium and sees her Majin origin as a blessing rather than a hindrance in this.
Short Biography/background: xThe Makai Royal Academy was one place Doloessa had always wanted to go. She dreamed of it, she wanted it, she needed it. She knew she as a Majin, and the wealth of magical students would provide her with easy sustenance while she continued her studies. Subtlety was most important, she had been taught by her mother. At least, she called her her mother, but the two didn't look remotely alike. That, and she was human. Her father could have been a Majin...but she never really got to know him and her only memories of him were fuzzy.
xHer mother had been a Reaper. Though she wasn't as active as she used to be because of her age, she held the firm belief that not all Majin were bad and that Reapers should only hunt Witch Eaters. As the beliefs started to change over time, becoming more violent towards Majin in general, she had split with the group to do her own hunting. Though she hadn't told Doloressa this, on one of her solo expeditions is where she met her father.
xLong story short, what Doloressa did know was that her mother had raised her to be a Majin that kept her race to herself and used the utmost care in feeding. The blue-haired girl knew that she did not ever want to fully consume a heart, but soon after grasping how to control her feedings realized she could use this as a weakening tactic. Needless to say, combined with her neutral attitude towards life, she found a position as a Ars Lilium most appealing.
xThe doors of the school stretched upward and seemed to go on forever. The young witchling stood in front of them as students bustled around her, and she confidently took her first few steps into the school. She didn't know what to expect, but she would make the best of whatever came her way. Then, once she was done with that, she would use what she learned to create a harmony--one her mother would be proud of--but one she would make her way.
