I was wondering how many people here are dancers. I am, I take Jazz, Tap and Ballet (Pointe I, but i could have been in Pointe II if I didn't have confirmation on the same night)
Also in Jazz we do Lyrical and Character dances too.
Let's talk about dancing!!

I'm not in dance, but I'm a dancer.
As in I dance haphazardly and sporadically.
I love watching ballet, though.
Come to think of it, I love anything that requires a stage...

I have never forgotten how to dance even tho I don't do it now.
Hubby has 4 left feet. lol.

When I was in my Teens I did Scottish Highland Dancing.
Havnt forgotten how but don't think I could do it now, It needs so much energy.

I took a dance class this year in school, for a symester..
We did a hiphop dance, and a jazz..
Mostly the basics.
I don't think I would continue the dancing though
Not that I didn't like it.
It isn't really the thing for me sweatdrop

I used to take acro, but the teacher purposely made everything hard for me, she even yelled at me for the whole class for not pointing my toe in a move you werne't even supposed to point my toe in. I was bad anyway, so I quit.
But I took jazz, ballet, and jazz technique.
A long time ago I used to take tap and stage.
I can't dance anymore because we can't afford it....so yeah.

Right now, I did Jazz Tap, adn Ballet, but I had to quit:
1) I'm going to caoolge(at 13, who knew!)
2) i'm taking voice lessons.

I do the crazy kind of freestyle dance some people have been describing. That's always fun, because there's no rules.

But I am also a belly dancer.

Personally, I got into it watching my step-sister's concerts. Movement of the soul. I've been told I have a dancer's figure, and I'd probably be pretty good if I just refined it with some training, but I also noted that there are few guys that get into it, even Modern ((which I think is fun and easy to choreograph, but that's just me.)), and they're mostly carrying people, and I have like..... zero upper-body strength... but who knows?
