Istas had been lucky so far, not to catch the flu. However, that wasn’t much to say when she was really sleepy and having pretty restless nights. Oh that stupid noise, always that stupid noise and never not that stupid noise, but it wasn’t there. There was a frown, her parents were bustling about occasionally checking her head for a fever or making sure she didn’t have the chills. They were worried about her having caught the flu, forbid her to go out.

The child sighed as her mother checked her forehead again, “I’m fine.” She grumped crossing her arms. The only good thing about this was she got to eat on the couch and had her favorite soup made and could watch whatever she wanted. Supposing that was an okay consultation prize it surely put a damper on her attempts to get anything senshi related done.

The child yawned, after having finished her lunch of alphabet soup and goldfish crackers. She was watching the original My Little Pony Show. Her parents had bought the whole series off the internet, so Chi was letting her watch it from start to finish. Lorenzo however, had the job of changing the disk when it finished playing all the shows on that one. Istas frowned when she realized she hadn’t brought down any of her stuffed animals. Though wrapped in a mass of blankets and surrounded by pillows, the child didn’t actually want to leave her nest.

“Daddddyyyyy~” She called in a sing-song voice, despite being tired. Hearing the older man rush to see what his daughter wanted, “Will you bring me one of my stuffed animals? I forgot…” Butter yellow eyes were looking at him with almost a kicked puppy look, at least the best she could manage. When her father agreed she curled up a little more on the couch watching the show, this one was about apple jack it seemed. They were so different from the, my little ponies in friendship is magic series. Her father appeared not too long after with two toys. One was little wolf, the other was a rabbit she’d gotten for her first birthday.

“Hopefully these two are okay, I have to get back to work, okay?” He smiled at her as she took the plush toys before leaving her to finish his work. He paused, “OH, I brought you coloring books too.” He sat them on her little TV dinner tray that was currently sitting in front of the couch so she could reach her drink, though it was currently void of food.

“Thank you daddy.” Istas said as she looked at the coloring book she’d been brought, it also was a my little pony book. She picked out a color from her crayon box before flipping through pages to find one of the ponies she wanted to color, finding Minty she smiled and switched the crayon from a blue to a mint green. At least the whole day wouldn’t be wasted on cartoons and sleeping.
