The sun was bright and Jethro was happy to be out and about. It seemed like he didn't get much time to simply move around on his own. Normally he had someone to train or meat to kill- there was always something to do. It seemed like he was constantly working. But he enjoyed it- it wasn't like he hated being busy. It helped him in feeling like there was still a purpose for him in his homeland.
All the same, he enjoyed the down time.
Slowly, he moved to sit himself down by the water, watching the waves as they washed back and forth over the sand. It seemed like everything was at peace, even the waves. Lately they had been a bit temperamental.
For a lion who really didn't like the water, it was nice to see it behaving for a change. If he didn't have to swim in it, then they were going to get along just fine. Really, the water thing was the only part about his home that he disliked.
The rest only assured him that he had made the right choice in leaving the rogue lands and finding himself a proper home.
