History: Nyosh was born at Benden Weyr. Her father was a dragonrider, and her mother a Weyr drudge. She was raised with the other weyrbrats. Like any child, she got into her fair share of scrapes and trouble. A sweet child, Nyosh held the hope of every candidate who stood on the sands with a clutch. Hatching after Hatching passing; she got older and older, but never Impressed. Eventually she reached 21 Turns and aged out.

Nyosh was given the option of staying at Benden and like her mother, becoming a drudge. That life didn't appeal to the young woman. Instead she asked her father's blessing in becoming a wherhandler. He obliged her by taking her to the Wher Hold to begin her training. Nyosh dove head first into learning everything she could about whers. She cleaned dens to learn the signs of health, and worked with experienced handlers to understand safe handling.

When she was 26 Turns a gold wher went on a run. She applied for an egg when the clutch was ready. The gold wher refused her access and she went back empty handed. Later that year, a second gold also had her run. Again Nyosh applied, and the gold wher allowed her to take an egg. She was elated as she exited the den carrying her new precious egg. After a couple of weeks a beautiful green broke through the shell. Nyosk has spent the last two Turns learning to work with her wher and understanding her. Now, a fully qualified wherhandler pair, Nyosh and Nyossk have returned to Benden Weyr triumphant.
Description: Nyosh stands 4 feet 8 inches tall. She has fair skin and wears the normal wherhandler gear. Her dark brown hair is cropped very short. The young green wher thought her long tresses made a great tug-of-war toy and had to go. She is extremely fit as she jogs every night with Nyossk.
Personality: Nyosh is, remarkably for a wherhandler, a very cheerful woman. She often throws small, special parties in her rooms. It gives herself and Nyossk a chance to mingle with their fellows. Nyosh won’t admit to it, but she is a horrible flirt. Some have compared her to her proddy wher. Despite her easy going nature, Nyosh is also candid whenever she answers questions. There’s no beating around the bush with her; while her frank answers might irritate others, it is just how she is.

During her wher training, and even more after she got Nyossk, she became very self-reliant. Nyosh relishes not having to rely on anyone for things. The other thing her training did it made her nocturnal. Something her wher is not at all against. Nyosh is as devoted to her wher as any rider is to his dragon. She will spend extra time making sure Nyossk is clean and has the freshest bedding. When work time rolls around for the pair, Nyosh becomes serious. It’s their job to be sure all miners come out safely. She believes Nyossk is the best at detecting changes in the gases.

The cheerful wherhandler hides a secret deep down that she never wants to talk about. She is jealous of those who were lucky enough to Impress a dragon. Nyosh doesn’t understand why they were picked and she wasn’t. It particularly irritates her when it’s a non-weyrbrat candidate that gets a dragon. When a rider comes around, she becomes short and almost hostile toward him or her. Nyosh is an unrealized kleptomaniac. She often snitches small items from her party guests; when a party-goer notices she blames it on Nyossk then returns the item. However, at the first possible chance the item will wind up back in Nyosh’s pocket.

Color: Green
Personality: Nyossk is a handful. Even as a hatchling she got into trouble right away. The little green desires to dig. Anywhere and anytime, one wrong word will send her into a digging frenzy. Digging is her second favorite occupation. As an adult and miner wher, Nyossk has her fill of digging. When she’s not digging she does her most favorite activity: driving the boys wild with desire.

Boys trump everything, except maybe her handler. When they are around, Nyossk loves to preen and show off for them. Often she forgets her work unless Nyosh calls her back. Even then it’s a struggle to stay on task. It’s hard to say if the wher affecting handler more or the other way around. Nyossk is friendly with any human, particularly those bonded to a male wher. At the parties, the green will go around and entice affection from everyone. The wher has a distinct dislike of dragons. The bigger the dragon the more dislike she has for it.

That's a good idea, but I don't think it quite works with her cheerful/party throwing thing she's got on. It took me awhile, but I think I've come up with somethign good and funny. XD
