Holly was wandering the school. Again. Her work was all done for now and she hadn't a thing to do. Nor could she could find anyone she knew at the moment. Finding herself inside she was now near the math classroom. She hadn't ever even taken math and was glad for that. There was someone else there. The ghoul seemed familiar. Who was it? She was doing something too, drawing. So far in her afterlife Holly hadn't learned that skill yet. She stopped walking and stood behind the ghoul. "Er, excuse me. What are you drawing?"

Claire Virus was a pro drawer. Man, did you see her drawings? They were cool beans. Almost as good as her cooking skills. Almost.
She was sitting outside the maths classroom, as usual, with a pad of paper and a mechanical pencil. Her face was full of concentration and her hands were steady as she drew Barth's long legs. Next to Barth was Claire herself, for some reason with a crown and puffy sleeves. A girl approached her, asking about the magnificent drawing.
"It's me, Barth, and I'm also going to draw a treehouse. Who are you?" she said suspiciously. Perhaps the girl was going to steal her drawing.

elvyralani
Holly grinned and chuckled a bit. The ghoul seemed pretty good at drawing, much better than herself. She couldn't draw at all. She studied the drawing for a moment before replying. Barth? Wait, she knew of that boil. He was running NAP wasn't he? Yes, he was that boil that seemed oh so sleepy all the time. How did these two know each other she wondered. "Names Holly. It's a good drawing, looks just like Barth and like yourself of course." She thought for another moment. "Did someone teach ya to draw that good or is that natural talent? Never could draw, myself." A skill that seemed handy few times but still handy at that.

Claire just looked at the ghoul for a while. Why was she interested in her drawings? Everyone else said they sucked. Apart from herself and those who were too nice to say otherwise.
"Thanks! I'm Claire. How do you know Barth? And I taught myself." she said, puffing up proudly. She looked at her drawing, blinked a few times, and then started to draw the treehouse. It looked like a watertower that had hairy arms, but Claire thought it was fantastic. She started to smile as the drew the door to the treehouse and the little rope ladder. She would show it to Barth and Barth would like it.

elvyralani
Now the starring was being returned to her. Did Holly do something? Interesting. She was able to tell that art wasn't super professional but it was leagues a head of her own. That made it fantastic to her. It wasn't really that hard to tell what things were either. "You are welcome!" Claire, yes, she had seen this ghoul around before but never had properly introduced herself. Was nice to finally do so. "Taught yourself? I tried that and I still can't draw a thing." Not even stick creatures, it was pretty depressing really. Holly stood there and watched her draw the tree house. She was told what it was before so assumed that was it. The rope ladder was the defining feature. Yep, defiantly a tree house. "It's good!" Hmmm. "Think you could teach me to draw sometime?" She didn't want to assume the ghoul had free time right now, unless she offered to do so now.

Claire didn't look up at the girl. She just ripped a peice of paper from her pad and pulled another pencil out of the bag. She put it down on the seat next to her and pointed to it as she started to do her details. "I'll teach you how to draw people first!" she said delightedly as she finished her drawing. She flipped the page and got ready for the ghoul to set up.
What should she draw, though? She thought long and hard (a whole three seconds!) about it before decidng that she was going to draw Holly and herself eating a cake.

elvyralani
Well that was her answer! Glad she hadn't a thing to do today for now she was going to learn how to draw just as awesome as Claire! Holly sat in the appointed chair and looked at the pencil and paper. The ghoul took up the pencil in hand and pulled the paper a little closer to her. That was as much as she knew to to. People drawing was good. There were lots of people around so it may be helpful. She thought for a moment of a class she had to draw clothing for, not a fun experience but this would prepare her. She'd be ready for that class next time! "People. Sounds good to me. Should I figure out who I'm gonna draw first?" That seemed like a good idea. "What's the first step then?" Or were there even steps at all?

childs menu
"I'll draw you and me. Think of someone you know first... Now draw a sort of oval shape!" she said as she drew one on her paper and showed it to Holly as an example. Then she drew another, slightly lower than the first for herself; after all, she could tell that Holly was taller. She leaned over to look at Holly's and then she nodded. "Now draw the facial features... two eyes, a nose like this... and a mouth. Make it happy!" once again, she showed Holly as an example.

elvyralani
Oh, how cool that Claire was going to draw the two of them. She never had any one draw her before! Now who did she know? When thinking of it she didn't seem to know that many people. Levi. Yeah, she wouldn't be difficult to draw. Or at least she hoped so. Holly nodded. "K, gonna draw my friend Levi, she's got ears." She motioned to the top of her head, unlike the ears on the side of her head. Holly drew a crooked oval. Close enough, was learning after all! She looked over as Claire was drawing the facial features. Didn't seem difficult. To her best ability she drew two eyes, one was larger than the other, an off center nose, and a strange looking smile. "Er, there." Kind of looked like a person? Yeah, defiantly better than her own attempts.

childs menu
"Looks great!" she said, looking at Holly's drawing. "I talk to Levi a lot on groanspring..." Claire thought about the next step. "You said ears, right? I'll give you ears as an example of how to draw them, but first we draw hair." Claire couldn't really explain this bit so she just showed her. She did her hair first (in a ponytail) and then Holly's (out) to show alllllll the different ways. She looked over to holly's and said "Now you try."

elvyralani
If Claire said it looked good so far than that was all she needed to know! "Levi is pretty cool. Meet her in the flesh yet?" She hadn't talked to the one ghoul on groanspring before but oh, maybe that is where this ghoul seemed familiar from. "I'm on there too, groanspring, don't use it much though." Hair, that is right, usually went with ears and would make sense to draw it now. She watched her draw hair. Just kind of made it in the shape it should look like, she could do that! Holly made a fine attempt and drew two different sized pigtails on the head area of the drawing. "Er, looks alright I think."

childs menu
"Nope, not yet..." she said quietly, concentrating on making her drawing perfect. She needed details on her hair. "Are you ready for ears now?" she said as she did a finishing stroke on her fringe. "Ears now! ZJust do two little rounded traingles over...here..." she muttered as she drew it on holly. It looked awesome so far. But they needed bodies. Claire quickly drew her own body and waited to draw Holly's as an example later.

elvyralani
Huh. Maybe she'd introduce the two later in time, share these amazing drawings! Holly looked up from her hair. "Yeah, just about done with the hair." She tried to even out the sides and they looked kind of the same. The ears would really help make it and the tail when it came to that time! She watched the ears be drawn on the floating head of her own likeness. "That seems pretty simple enough!" The ghoul drew two triangles at the top of the head. Perfect! "What now?" She assumed body but didn't want to get a head of herself.

childs menu
Claire bit her lip as she started on Holly's body. "First you just..." she showed it to her instead of explaining, she couldn't find the words once again. "don't do the body with a pen ever because you have to draw the clothes." she said knowingly as she worked on Holly's foot. It looked like a foot, so she moved to the next one. "how are you going with the feet?"

elvyralani
Holly watched as she drew the body. She could see why it was a difficult thing to explain how to do. Taking up her pencil she attempted to draw something similar on her own sketch. It came out a bit funky but not terribly bad. "That makes a lot of sense now that I think about it, about the clothing." Cause it went on top and pen, she had learned, didn't erase. Feet? "I've seen her wear shoes, so like a oval or something?" The ghoul drew a small over for a foot. Yeah, kind of looked like a shoe.

childs menu
"That looks good!" she said as the ghoul drew the oval. "Feel free to add details and stuff..." she said, looking away as she drew clothes. "I'll give yo a purple dres-- wait, do you like purple? No, wait. What do you want to wear?"
And so the questions began.
Claire loved questions all the time. That's why her and groanspring were like peas in a pod. Questions questions questions!

elvyralani
Holly smiled and drew the matching foot. There, now she just needed arms, and clothing and whatnot. The ghoul drew a pair of stick arms so she had an idea of where to place clothes better. She started drawing a shirt, or something close to it. She looked up and shrugged. "Whatever is fine, though I tend to wear brown." She'd worn one color once before and that was red, besides that everything else was basically brown. "You have colored pencils too?" Better for adding more detail! She contemplated her next piece of clothing for the drawing.

childs menu

"Okay I'll draw you a brown dress..." she said, doing the outline. "Yep, I'll get them out now." Claire opened her bag and rummaged around to find them. As she did, she took them out and put them on the table between them before opening the packet, ready to be used.

Colored pencils, that was pretty fancy compared to any of Holly's past drawing experiences. Luckily she understood the entire coloring inside the lines business! What colors would she need? She tried to finish the clothing, giving her odd Levi drawing a skirt and skirt like thing. Huh. Looked fine enough for her. "Cool, I think I just need orange and yellow. Well... do you color things in that are white normally or just leave it since the paper is white?" That was way past her own coloring knowledge.

"Don't bother with that, leave it white!" she said, scribbling in the colours.
It was almost done!

"Okay then!" Holly get most of her coloring done quickly since the drawing included a lot of white and only had to do some accent colors. "There! Done, I think. Best drawing I've done so far!" She held up her picture.

"I like mine too! But you can have it. You can put it on your wall or something!" she said happily, passing the drawing to Holly. "We should draw again some other time! But I need my quarter-hourly snack. I'll catch you later!"
And then Claire left.
