[B] Spin A Web For Me (Alunite/Sinon) [F]

[A Wandering Esper]

Alunite had been wandering about, doing his own buisness, gathering energy. Yes, he'd been talked back into some relative sense, but that didn't mean he had given up on his self-imposed energy quota. It was just kept to a more sane level for someone who didn't have underlings to help keep a steady stream.

He stopped in mid-run to the next bar, through, when something tingled against his senses. Senshi. Maybe a super ?

Looked like it was time to switch from energy gathering to information gathering, but first, he had to locate said senshi.

Sinon had seen corrupted senshi, but she had never met them up close. She could rattle off a few of their names: Alkaid, Hel—but she had only seen a couple of them from a distance and never had she spoken to them. They were a mysterious group of beings to Sinon. Corrupted senshi had once been on the senshi side—or would have been, at least, but instead had been taken to the Negaverse. What was it like, to be a converted enemy in a sea of dark agents? She was curious.

Perhaps that was also why she found herself skateboarding towards the dark energy signature. It was dark and ominous, but also a bit different from the usual lieutenants, captains, or generals she had encountered before. Sinon couldn’t shake away the idea that perhaps she wouldn’t be meeting the typical agent, but someone else altogether. She stopped in front of a senshi clad in black and purple, his hair brushing the ground.

She wasn’t sure what to do next. Attack? Wait? Introduce herself? “…Hello.”

And there she was. Young, through for him, most of the senshi were young in comparison. It just hadn't occurred to him that he was older than the norm. Redhead, freckles, uniform in shade of purples, a colder purple than his own.

He'd waited for her there, leaning against the wall, jumping down only after he had seen that there was no one else there to disturb him. He tried to look as relaxed as possible, through there was still a stiffness to him that betrayed his readiness to defend himself if needed.

"Lovely evening, I must say." He shrugged. More flies with honey, and all that, through eventually fighting her wasn't a bad idea. But if he could get her name, he would.

Sinon was young, and her mindset sometimes even younger. She loved eating sweets and she enjoyed children games. She was more at home in a class filled with little kids than a roomful of people around her age.

“Oh, yeah. I suppose it is.” She smiled cautiously. A part of her felt the strong urge to barrage the man with questions while the other part of her wondered why exactly she had willingly chased after him. Sinon stepped off of her board. “I think it’s the summer. The summer is really relaxing, although a bit humid at times, but what can you do?” She shrugged, her eyes wandering to his long ponytail. “…do all of you have such long hair?” The inquiry escaped her lips without a second thought. Immediately, Sinon shut her lips and stared at him, hoping she didn’t look stupid for asking such a question.

"Ah, certainly." Through he was far from relaxed. "The humidity is an east coast thing, I believe." He'd been to California once or twice. The difference could be startling.

A relatively harmless question. He saw no problem in answering it for her. "Not all of us." He shrugged. "But most of us do." Left open enough for her to wonder if this was his natural hair length, or if there was something else going on.

“Oh, is it? I guess I should visit the West coast someday. Try and see how their summers are like.”

Her eyebrows furrowed as he answered her question, but it only seemed to boggle the senshi more. Was the unnaturally long hair just a preference between the corrupted senshi, or was there some other reason behind the odd length? It didn’t matter that much to Sinon anymore. Now was the time to stop the idle chatter. She was curious about corrupted senshi. Were their attacks different too? She swung an arm as she released a storm of thin thread, sharp like wire. “Web of Lies!”

He'd figured this was coming, so he wasn't caught as off-guard as he potentially could have been. He moved to the side, through some of the threads still hit him on the way past, slicing thin slits into his over skirt.

"Interesting..." Really. He could see how much an attack like that could be a pain if the target was caught off guard. He was doing his best to file it to memory, for later.

"Umbra Eclipse, Dark Moon !" Oh, he'd learned his lesson with the stone senshi. One, two, and the corrupted senshi all but faded from Sinon's view.

Sinon was mildly disappointed to see that the corrupted senshi managed to evade the attack. From what she could tell from previous instances, the web could cover a sizeable area, but the threads were forced to stretch thinner and as a result, become more easily cut and weaker. Her first thought was to call out her attack again, but she restrained herself. Although Sinon loved to abuse her magic like no other, her new attack used up too much energy to allow her to spam it all over the place.

To her dismay, the man faded from sight and her eyes widened with shock. She stood still, attempting to stabilize her frantic thoughts. Had he escaped? No, he had called an attack, that meant he was going to fight back, right? Energy signature. Energy signature. Sinon searched for the dark energy, but was too frazzled to pay careful attention. “What the….”

While unseen, Alunite couldn't help but smirk.

What the, indeed. Every senshi - or page, even - reacted pretty much the same way when his attack went off.

No time, through. No time for that...

He moved as carefully as he could, but there was always the chance that she could hear him, hear his boots on the pavement and prepare herself...

Still, he made his way behind Sinon, then moved to hit her and hopefully send her crashing against the wall. Invisibility + sudden smashing right into hard surface always seemed to work out well for him.

The sudden hit from behind startled Sinon, really startled Sinon. She was rammed into the nearby wall for reasons she could not quite comprehend, but within the first few seconds the senshi began to realize that the mysterious force that had knocked her into the wall was probably the man before—the force sure felt like a human, at least. “Dude. Dude, is that you? Knock it off!” she growled as she swung her elbow back in hopes of jamming her elbow into the senshi—preferably his face.

Alunite had to give it to this one - she was perceptive. Most of the time, they didn't quite seem to know what hit them. Human beings overall relied way too much on their sights, he figured.

But at the same time, it was hard not to be amused by her reaction. He wanted to answer with a simple 'no', but that would give his location away.

Not many senshi actually lashed back this quickly - he was making his way toward her just as she swung her elbow, and she hit something - something that was most definitively not face, but still human.

He stumbled back, becoming visible again a few second later - she hit him square in the gut, and Alunite was still working on the recovery part of the equation.

It was clear that Sinon had not hit a face, much to her disappoint, but at least she had hit something. She rolled her arm, unused to elbowing someone in the gut. As she relieved the tingling sensation from her muscles, the senshi noticed the other flickering into sight. She smiled. Oh, so that was it! His power somehow let him become invisible. Of course, it couldn’t last forever—lucky for her.

She spent a couple seconds just staring at the disoriented Alunite, pleased with her work until she remembered that they were currently in the middle of a battle. Standing around watching was not smart. “Oh, right! Right right right right.” Sinon strode forward, a hand pulled back into a fist before she aimed another hit at his gut.

Sinon's staring was good for Alunite, but bad for her - it gave the corrupt senshi long enough to recover from the hit she'd managed to land.

And he wasn't happy. This time he saw her coming more clearly, and all but spun out of the way, re-positioning himself to hit her side and hopefully send her back down.

Sinon made a mental note to never, ever pointlessly stare at the enemy mid-battle, it was probably one of the stupidest things she could do. “H-Hey!” she yelped, the hit knocking her off balance and sending her rolling across the ground. Once the world stopped spinning, she bit back groan as she attempted to hastily get back to her feet. She felt tempted to use her attack, oh so tempted, but would it be useful? Sinon furrowed her eyebrows. Thinking during battle = not good.

Successful, but ultimately futile as far as Alunite was concerned. She was down, yes, but she got back up before he could do much of anything.

Agile little bugger, that.

"You know, if you hadn't hit me first, we probably wouldn't be doing this."

...False, actually, but hey, if he could get her to think that...

And then he went again, aiming to kick her this time.
