____Izaya Orihara___________
"I love love love love love love humans, but remember I love humans in general not anybody in particular. "

Izaya was completing his rounds of the shopping district. Of course this meant that he had to visit the hostess club as well. He wasn't their as a customer, no Izaya had not the time for such frivolities, he was simply meeting up with another of his contacts. Izaya was a bit disappointed that his client had never showed up at the coffee shop and he had been forced into a fight. His feelings were apparent in his step, which had lost a great bit of his joviality. Otherwise, his face and outward appearance was that of the same gleeful child that he made his appearance out to be. He wanted others to see him as a hapless idiot, it made his job much easier. Of course, after three years, only newbies to the town of Death City had not heard of information broker Izaya Orihara's true nature. For just a regular human, he had built quite a name for himself. A reputation was a double sided sword for a man like him. It brought in more customers, but enemies as well. It also meant that the moment he set foot in the club, he was surrounded by the girls of the club.

"Mr. Orihara, have you come to bring me on a date this time,"
"Izaya, did you ever get those flowers I sent you,"
"Izaya I heard a rumor you took down a gangster earlier today with only a straw,"

Izaya had a reputation here as well, though he had never been a customer he knew many of the girls, and had bought and sold information from them at one time or another. For some reason or another the girls here had gotten very attached to him. Maybe it was because he had helped them out once or twice on a whim, or because he was good at keeping secrets. He also knew the madame currently in charge of this place, a lot more personally than anybody else in this town. She wasn't an ex-lover or anything like that, it was a different kind of bond the two shared.

"I thought I raised you to be a good man, and now that your here I see you do nothing but causing trouble!" At the shout of Madame Christmas, the girls who were crowding around Izaya returned to their individual jobs at the host club, leaving Izaya to stare at his aunt, the oldest and ugliest of the girls here. Of course, Izaya would never say such an observation to Madame Christmas, that would likely land him a worse fate than the witches that Shibusen fought. he was polite to Chris Orihara, his father's sister, and the guardian who had raised him when he moved to the states long ago. Her business was the reason he had left Reno in the first place, and she was the only one capable of scolding him for his actions.

"Madame, I received a package from my sisters telling me they moved to the states last year. I'm glad you forgot to tell me the news, it would have been such a damper on my day to find this out ahead of time," Izaya began, a bit more snippy with his aunt then usual. The fact that she had raised him for half of his life saved Madame from a great deal of Izaya's tricks and grievances, but on days like this even Izaya's patience with her was short.

"First time I heard of it. We both know my brother, your father is bad at calling," Madame answered, clearly unhappy with the tone in Izaya's voice. The aura around her became so terrifying, a few of her girls left the room for fear Madame and Izaya were about to fight again. When a fight between the two broke out it was best to not be around.

Izaya decided dropping the subject was the best idea. "Oh well Madame, sometimes there's nothing to do but play with the cards you've been given. Speaking of cards, mind playing a game with me for old times sake, if you win I'll buy flowers for all the girls." Izaya offered, knowing his one of his aunt's weaknesses was a game of cards.

Madame Christmas pulled out a deck of cards, and the two began a quick game of five card stud. In two hands it was over and the Madame had won. "You've never been good with cards Izaya, I don't see why you make wagers," Madame Christmas spoke bluntly, she never changed. It was hard to see how the two were related, when they acted in such opposite ways of one another.

"Oh well, its no fun unless something is on the line," Izaya said, calling up the florist to place another huge order. He lacked the money to buy an office, but he got by on the day to day fairly easily. Even if he lost his bets quite often. He held his hand over the bottom part of his phone, wanting only Madame Christmas to hear his next sentence. "A girl I dated three years ago is back in town, any advice on how to handle her?"

Madame tilted her head for a moment. "What's her name again,"

"Elizabeth," Izaya continued, the girls who had remained in the room all knew who Elizabeth was, and began to distract themselves so they did not catch any of the conversation. Whenever Elizabeth was mentioned, it meant the two were talking to one another in Code.

"Oh her, she's a very angry girl isn't she. I don't think she'd like to find you here. Its a big city you'd best hide,"

"You always speak from the heart Madame, but some girls you just can't avoid. If you hear any news of Elizabeth though, tell me." With that Izaya left, spotting the flower truck he had ordered as he exited the building and began to walk out of the market district. He had had enough shopping for one day. Perhaps he would give Elizabeth a visit later on, but only if he had nothing better to do.
