Visiting the clubhouse as he normally did this time of the week, Shun got done with his warm ups, and so now he was going at the punching and kicking bags pretty intensely. With his magical abilities rather limited right now, he had to try and train his body in order to even attempt to keep up with the other factions of Halloween.
Reapers were known to be one of the weaker and squishier races and all. He didn't want to be useless, so he was working hard to try and prep himself however possible. Even while his FEAR grew from classes and whatnot, it wouldn't hurt to keep things going on the physical end as well.
If there were any others in the clubhouse at the time being, he wasn't too aware of them as he was focusing pretty hard on the bag.

Petro had finished his usual running regimen that day and was sufficiently warmed up by the time he arrived at the clubhouse. He'd asked Mot before Prom whether or not the reaper was the sort who could duke it out if necessary, and would have offered to be his spotter to improve those skinny arms of his. But it only occurred to the horse boil that he himself rarely made use of the facility, preferring to train in the comforts of his own lair. Well, that wouldn't do!
He couldn't very well offer to be someone's spotter if he wasn't familiar with the facilities and what it had to offer. So here he was, again realizing too late that he couldn't use anything without someone to observe, per Riley's rules.
The sound of fists and feet impacting against something solid and heavy reached his ears. Tro was in luck! "Hey, y' need a partner'r something?" he called out as he casually walked up to the reaper.

Hearing an unfamiliar voice in the area, Shun paused before turning around to see someone standing there. Oh right. Just now he remembered the little rule regarding always having a partner in the clubhouse. Woops. Frowning as he recalled this, he looked over the horse monster. The guy was wearing only a loincloth.. That was... a bit strange, but he supposed that was just the boy's culture.
Either that or he just liked to wear very little.
"Yeah I suppose I do," he replied with a sigh. It was a bit of an annoying rule, but he could see why it was in place. Working out, especially with the equipment could be hazardous at times. It wouldn't hurt to have someone around in the case something went awry.
"..Name's Shun," he said, figuring that if he was going to be working with this boy, he may as well give his name.

"Good to meet y', Shun. 'M Petro," the half-naked boil nodded, "Y' can call me Tro," he added as he took a stand on the other side of the punching bag the reaper had been waling on moments ago. Tanned, muscled arms extended to brace the horse boil against the equipment, his hands resting heavily on the surface, bare feet firmly planted on the ground.
"Y' don't gotta stop on my account," he grinned to Shun, waiting for the other boil to resume the striking. It's been some time since Petro himself had any sort of sparring, and seeing the reaper practice made his blood pump a little harder, his muscles twitch a little in anticipation.

Nodding to Tro, Shun loosened up a bit and took in a deep breath, focusing on the bag. At least now the thing should be more steady, which in turn would make it a little easier to practice.
"Lemme know when you wanna switch," he murmured. If he was going to have a partner, he at least knew he couldn't hog up all the time. That said, he went back to striking the bag with various kicks and punches. He made sure not to accidentally hit Petro's hands or the horse boy in general, but he wasn't really holding back either.
But the guy looked like he was capable of handling it anyway.

"Y' lemme know when y' wanna catch y'r breath. Gonna have at it then, the horse boil nodded at Shun's offer before resuming to focus his attention on the reaper's form and stance. Even if he didn't have the benefit of sight, he could tell that the other boil was making precise, solid blows from the impact that travelled through the heavy bag and into Tro's arms. While the idea of taking turns beating on the punching bag had its merits and appealed to Tro (depending on the objectives of the day), he found it could only get you so far. Plus it wasn't as fun as, say, an actual spar.
Then again, he didn't know what Shun was doing here in the first place from an end-goal standpoint. Tro didn't want to end up being a hindrance to a fellow club member's training regimen. That's just not what the tikbalang was about (he was a staunch supporter of "for the good of the many" and all that). Besides, he doubted Riley would approve of any form of sabotage to the club and its members, intentional or otherwise. "Y' here to just hit the bag? Or y' planning on working on something else?" he asked, a half-grin forming on his face, brown eyes peering round the edge of the punching bag.

Shun continued to attack the bag, putting the moves he had learned long ago to use. It wasn't until Petro had asked him something did he pause again from the striking. Letting out a breath first, he looked up to the other boy, wondering what he was going at there.
"I was planning on it, unless something else came up," He replied, "Possibly practicing form without it."
Pausing, he shook out some of his limbs to loosen up the muscles he had been using.
"Why?"

"Ah, so this ain't just y'r warm up, then?" Tro couldn't help but sound mildly disappointed when he learned what the reaper boil had planned for the session. "Wouldn't've mind bein' y'r sparring partner if y' were looking to get some practice against someone that fights back. Been a long while since I got a good match m'self," he wryly chuckled, rolling his shoulders back a bit as he widened his stance, putting weight on one leg before lashing out at the heavy bag with his other in a swift kick, his loincloth flapping from the sudden movement before settling back down neatly.
"Oh, and uh, 's my turn?" He asked the other boil as he cocked his head to the side.

At the mention of sparring, Shun looked up at Tro, considering what was said. Sparring was always a good way to help improve ones skills, especially if the opponent was pretty good.
Seeing Petro take up a stance, the Reaper watched as he lashed out at the bag with one powerful, swift kick.
Reaching out to settle the bag, as well as to hold it still for the other boy, he peeked around the edge briefly.
"In that case... once you've felt that you've warmed up, lets take it into the ring."

The grin on Petro's face suddenly turned predatory as he began to dish out a series of light jabs at the punching bag the other boil was holding steady. "Y' got it!" The horse boil had already warmed up earlier on but he'd been using his muscles for a different sort of activity. He would alternate his strikes with punches and kicks, nothing beyond the basics. If he knew any fancy moves, he would be saving them for the actual spar.
When he felt he was ready, he lessened the force and speed of his blows until he was back to lightly jabbing. "Ready when y' are!"

Holding the bag for Petro, Shun was also trying to get a feel for the other boy's skill level as he struck the thing. He was pretty quick, from what he could tell, and he had a good amount of power too, especially in the kicks. Though, seeing how he was a horse monster, powerful kicks were probably to be expected. Even so, that was one thing he was going to have to watch out for.
Once the other boy was ready, he let go of the bag and stepped back, doing a few quick stretches to loosen back up.
"Alright," he nodded before making his way to the ring. This should be good.
After climbing into the ring, he let out a breath before taking up a fighting stance, waiting for the other boy to get ready as well.

Tro's gait from the bags towards the ring was relaxed despite the anticipation evident in his wide, toothy grin. Shun had gotten into the ring before him and as the horse boil reached the ropes, he found his opponent was already in a fighting stance. Well, good! It meant the reaper was ready. Tro would have briefly contemplated on asking Shun if the reaper had some specific ground rules he'd like to make before they began but all that went out the window. Because the moment Petro had cleared past the ropes, he wasted no time into charging forward into a lunge, attempting to tackle the other dark-haired boil.

Shun hadn't quite expected the horse boy to charge him the moment he got into the ring. Thankfully, since he was on the other side, he had some time to react.
Cursing lowly, he just barely managed to side step out of the way. Petro was quick. He can see that much now. And if that opening attack was any sort of indicator, he had a pretty aggressive style too.
This should be interesting.
As his feet grounded themselves from the sidestep, the Reaper shifted his weight and aimed a roundhouse at Tro's ribcage.

Petro didn't really expect to make contact with Shun this early in the match, actually if he had he would have been slightly disappointed. As it was, he was now charging straight for the ropes. But rather than slowing down, he used the ropes to propel himself back, twisting his body in order to face Shun as he prepared for another attack. Only to spot the incoming kick aimed at him.
The horse boil had to admit the reaper's reaction time was faster than he originally anticipated. And Tro knew he had too much momentum to completely dodge the blow. If he couldn't avoid it, well, Tro knew he had to steel himself to feel that kick without a punching bag between them. Although, "no punching bag" didn't necessarily mean "no body parts." He barely managed to raise his arm in time to block, a grunt escaping his lips upon impact. In the same breath, his hand reached out and down in an attempt to hook the reaper's leg against his side.

Seeing and feeling his kick being blocked, Shun was ready to follow up with another strike or two in an attempt to lay on some pressure onto Petro. Though, if he hadn't been training at all, that block would have hurt his foot a fair amount. Damn Tro had some hard arms.
However, before he could lay on another attack, he saw that his foot had been caught against the horse's arm and side.
Grimacing, the Reaper jumped up and twisted his body about to try and kick his opponent to the side of the head with his free leg.
