Isadora was on her back, her front hooves resting lightly against her chest as both her tail and mane were fanned out in the gently swaying grass. Her spot was cool, a lovely place to rest. The night air was dancing, a cool contrast to the warm night in general. Dark purple eye lids blinked open to reveal striking pink eyes that moved from star to star, taking them in. They were bright and so far and tiny. She thought about how it would be wonderful to see them closer. She sighed and tilted her head back to look at the moon, so big and in her domain. A mysterious queen to all her beautiful subjects. She giggled at her thoughts, then sighed.

At the edge of Isadora’s meadow, there was a disturbance as a stallion emerged from a thick copse of trees. The hour was late, perhaps he should have found a place to bed down for the night already, but something kept him awake and moving. He meandered quietly along, taking no notice of the mare as she was downwind and hidden from sight by the starry night. The cool breeze lifted his mane playfully, but he took no notice. Seemingly deep in thought, the big stallion’s eyes, pale violet in a sea of black, studied the stars above as though searching for an answer to some question.
The silvery moonlight illuminated Deanneth’s pale coat as he neared the unseen mare.

Isadora laughed, stretching one hoof towards the glittering stars, though stiffening when she heard another nearby. Her ears swiveled to catch the rustling of the grass and the soft foot falls. She smelled no danger, how ever that didn't always mean there wasn't any. Bringing her leg back down slowly, she carefully roller over and popped her head up to have a look around.
A pale stallion with dark hair met her vibrant eyes. His coat reminded her of the moon, until it met with darker colors on his legs. Cautiously she whinnied. "Hello..." And so she didn't seem off-putting, she grinned.

A strange laugh caught Dean’s attention and he jumped. His large, splotchy head popped up and his eyes searched for the source. He’d thought himself alone, but as he spotted a head popping up from the tall grass, he knew that wasn’t the case. She was a mare and based on her cautious whinny, she likely didn’t mean him any harm.
His troubles pushed to the back of his mind for now, Dean returned her grin with a reassuring smile. “Hello, miss.” He took a few, slow steps closer, his large hooves thudding deeply on the soft ground. “I apologize if I startled you; I thought I was the only one out here.”

Isadora stood to greet the stallion and gave him a friendly grin, and shook her mane from her eyes. "I too, thought I was the only one here." She nudged his shoulder lightly. "No apologies necessary....isn't it lovely tonight?" She looked up once more to the twinkling stars then back. "I'm Isadora, what might your name be?"
