I thought I'd make a thread for RPing with OCs which don't really relate to the BDL Host Club.

Like Jackle, Marz, Bunny, etc.

I'll just kind of ramble here with whatever I think of. o uo

Marz was listening. Listening to a voice in his head.

"There's a Subject somewhere nearby. She's unidentified. Class... wow, she's a Class S. Haven't seen one of those in a while. Other than the obvious, I mean." Echo transferred into his head, sounding disbelieving.

"Class S? Troubling. Naturally I'll have my job cut out for me, but it can be taken care of."

That was easier said than done. He had only ever encountered one Class S. Other than...

"I thought the only Class S on the outside, was myself," he pondered in his usual dull tone.

It didn't matter. He would do what had to be done. Nothing could stop him, after all. Nothing he knew of, other than possibly those... Subjects? He knew the name of one at least. Mosk. He understood little about them.

"Just don't think about them, Marz. Worry about Subjects within your jurisdiction," Echo cautioned him.

"Naturally," he replied.

(( I don't know that I am doing. BSING TIME))

Bright pink hair under a bright yellow hoodie, he stood out above the crowd. Sifting through the people, the yellow dot moved about smoothly. He placed his chin on Gin's soft hair, ruffling it slightly with his breath, his legs dangling on the young man's shoulder as they strode through the crowd. The influx of crowd on a Sunday indicated of a possible celebration, maybe a birthday, but he couldn't possibly care less about the event.
"Hey, Gin," his hands ruffling the other's hair, "you said your hair was made from real human hair, right?"

"Precisely," he held onto the other's legs, making sure he stayed balanced riding on his shoulder.

"Whose?"

"From various individuals. Each strand of hair is from a different donor."

"Donor?"

"Taken by force, to be more precise."

"So they will never find who you are if your hair ever fell on a mission, right?" he giggled, having understood the idea. The chattering of the crowd drowned his current thoughts. Mint let out a tired yawn and rest his head on Gin's soft hair. Despite the countless encounters involving blood and corpses, the white hair gave a pleasant scent of strawberries. Mint giggled.

"Where to?" he asked.

"A little birdie told me you wanted cake."

He made a contented noise, "Love you, Gin."

(( Hey mang. xD

Word up.

BTW, here's a reference pic of Mai, who's another important Subject.

The claw hand thing isn't always there though, but she can grow additional cells to form temporary mutations, so that's basically what it can look like, normally she keeps both her hands bandaged though ))

Why did they just accept everything that Zion had done? She couldn't. Not ever.

She knew that they had detected her, because she wanted them to. Because she wanted Marz to find her, or she would just find him. Either way, she knew what she had to do. She didn't like it, but he had to be stopped. At one time, the last time they had met, she gave him the chance to free himself from Zion. It had been a hopeless cause; he was their slave, completely.

Things might be different if she had known then what she knew now about Marz. About his past.

Standing on the edge, her bare feet resting on the cement roof, she watched the crowds. Marz wouldn't be hard to spot if he was still wearing his hazard coat; it was designed to be highly visible so personnel could recognize him easily.

Mai was the only other Class S Subject in existence, other than Marz. More importantly... she knew there was a Class higher than hers. Of that Class, there was only one. The template.

Bright colors caught her attention in the crowd below. Someone in a yellow hoodie, on someone else's shoulders. Not Marz.

But she could smell them. Like Marz, and the template before them, she had acute animal-like senses. One of them...

"Are you a friend?" she asked quietly in her gentle tone.

She reached up to trailing wires coming from the sides of her head, which served as her audio sensors. At one time she had had ears. Different ears. Now she had these cybernetics implanted into her head, feeding data to her brain, serving as ears. Not as good as her hearing was when she was born.

Mai decided to follow the two, watching them from rooftops. It was a whim, just a feeling she was following. Besides, if Marz came after that one, she wanted to be there.

What struck her as strange, was that although that one smelled like he wasn't all human, he was acting more casual than any other escaped Subject she had ever encountered. Usual they were emotionally crippled. Was she wrong about him? She just had to find out. Amplifying the volume on her receptors, she listened in as she followed them.

((I'll have to keep her in mind, yes.
-sobs-))

"You don't assume they are replacing us?" he asked simply, playing around with Gin's hair. The afternoon heat made him sleepy, but he tried his best to stay awake. The noises weren't so loud anymore now that they had left the crowd. His ears picked up the faint sound of Gin's footsteps and some other.

"Ein?"

"No, not Ein," he giggled, "of course he'll replace us. I was wondering what if they developed something like....a Mosk v.2 or Gin v.2...I mean, v.3. We'd be obsolete."

"Highly improbable, but possible," he answered, "but until then, you can rest assured you'll have your fair share of entertainment."

Mint giggled at the thought, "ookkk." He rest his chin on Gin's head and happily ruffles his hair.

"By the way, Mint," he glanced at something from the corner of his eyes, "are you using your headphones?"

"Not at all," he smiled, "why the question?"

"No reason."

(( ******** you Gaia. = n=

Seriously.

I typed out a whole ******** post, and then gaia ******** up and logs me out, I lose the whole post.

lol I don't even remember everything I said last time, guess I'll just improvise and do an abbreviated post instead))

Mai was mentally recording names. So there were more of them. That was really unusual. There were more escaped Subjects than ever before, but this...

She wanted to speak to them. But she wasn't sure how to approach them. Likely they wouldn't be friendly towards her. Most Subjects were either afraid or hostile.

How could she get close to them?

Listening in on what the yellow hooded boy was saying made her even more curious about who they were.

Marz was carrying a Subject on his shoulder, out of the corner store. He left a policeman bleeding from the neck on the floor of the store. The policeman had fired upon the Subject, authorizing lethal force. One clean slice with his surgical knife had terminated the danger to a Zion asset.

But someone made him stop when he walked out into the crowd of the street, who were avoiding him.

He smelled someone, a scent he hadn't picked up in years.

"It's Mai, she's here." he said to himself.

"What? Mai? No, that can't be.... she died, I mean... there's no way she could have survived the last time you two met."

"I'm not mistaken. Mai is close by, very much alive."

"Then she's the Class S? That isn't good... what will you do?"

"What I have to do. Bring her home."

I DO NOT ******** TRUST GAIA AT ALL. ))

"I was going to say something, but I forgot," Mint frowned as Gin lifted the boy off his shoulder and placed him on the bench in a fluid motion. He thought for a moment, "Oh yeah, Key."

    "What about him?"

    "Locations?"

"I believe he did mention about going back to retrieve a few things. He also told you that he had to go through some tests to make sure. I assumed Proxy is keeping him behind as usual." He patted the boy's head and placed the large tebbybear next to him, "I'll go get you those sweets if you stay put."

"Ok," he giggled slightly and pulled the bear closer, his legs dangling on the bench as he listened to Gin's fading footsteps. He sat in silence for a moment and smiled.

"I know you're there," he whispered.

(( Good idea, I should definitely start doing that. xDD

IDFK y I'd ever trust gaia to do anything right, lmao ))

Mai dropped quietly down to crouch on the bench next to Mint, looking over at him with a smile.

"Hi there. I should have known you'd hear me," she said, rocking on her heels nimbly, "I'm Mai."

She looked around carefully while she spoke, hoping this wasn't some kind of trick. People had lured her in and tried to catch her before. It had made her fearful of talking to strangers.

This time she knew she had to talk the risk.

SOMETIMES it doesn't even let me sign in. I don't even.))

Mint giggled, "It's fairly easy to notice footsteps on high ground."
He held out his hand as a polite gesture to shake her hand, or so he had learned over the years, "Hi, I'm Mint." He grinned up at Mai cheerfully, his head still resting on the giant teddybear.

(( xDDD ))

Mai took his hand gingerly, very aware of bandages covering her skin up to right below her shoulder. She usually tried to avoid using her hands unless she had to; it was painful for her. But she didn't want to seem rude, so she did her best to return his gesture without wincing.

"You have sharp ears," she laughed softly. "I'm glad to meet you. You're so cute."

She hummed softly, studying him, thinking.

"You and your friend, are you from around here? I'm new here, I've been wandering around a long time."

He blinked at the touch of the bandages on her hands.
"I shouldn't have done that, huh," he grinned, knowing that bandages were never a good sign.

"You're nice, miss," he rubbed his eye, "I'm from around here. My house is uh..somewhere around here, given we didn't wander too far."
He rubbed at his chin and thought about it for a moment, wondering how far they've been walking since the morning mission.

"Anyways, miss," he turned back up at her, knowing it was polite to look people in the face in conversating, wherever it might be, "if you need directions, we'll be more than happy to lead you there."

He perked up at the sound of approaching footsteps, "Gin," he jumped from his seat at the other's arrival.

"Here," Gin handed the boy the slice of cake and sat him down, placing a napkin on Mint's lap and a fork in his hand. He turned curiously at Mai and stared at her earpiece. "May I ask for the reason behind you following us?"

"That's ok, I don't mind. It's always been this way."

Mai looked Mint in the eyes, and one look was enough for her to understand. Still, even if he couldn't see, his perception was better than that of any average human.

"Really? Do you think so? I don't think anyone has ever said I'm nice before," she sat forward intently.

"Your house? You'd show me it? I'd like to see."

When Gin approached, she tensed slightly. When he reacted to her calmly, she herself relaxed a little. If she had to, she'd spring and run away in an instant, though.

"Sorry, I was just curious about you. You smell different," she noticed him looking at her ear attachments. "Oh, these are just audio receptors, they act as my ears."

She picked one of the dangling wires up and moved it around, like a skinny metal snake made of finely segmented metal. Basically it was an antenna.

"I'm Mai," she gave him a gentle smile.

Mint leaned over and sniffed at Gin's arm for a moment before he was brushed away. Giggling slightly, he turned his attention back to the cake on his lap.

"Understood," Gin replied, observing her for a moment, "under the impression that you may or may not have once been human, I assume you are something along the line of a modified organism. Your lack of background data is a bit unnerving, so I advice you to not do anything rash. Any hostility detected and I will end you. Nevertheless, if Mint take a liking to you, then so will I."

"Gin is a meanie, don't listen to him," he made a face and smacked Gin with his sleeve, he turned to Mai, "where are you from, miss?"

Mai studied Gin for a moment before answering.

"I'm not human, no." she shrugged. "I won't do anything. I don't want violence. But thank you. I've never really had anyone accept me being around before, no one that I wanted to be around."

She laughed lightly at Mint, and smiled over the playful nature between the two. It was nice seeing someone like her who wasn't suffering and enslaved.

"I... " she hesitated slightly, unsure of what to tell them. "I don't really have a home. When I got away from my creators, I've had to keep running and hiding. But I was born in a glass tube, I guess. That's where I'm from. There were two of us."

She looked wistfully into the sky, shaking her head before looking back at them.

"I'm looking for someone, someone... like me... back where I was born, they called them Subjects. But he was a special Subject. I wish I knew where he was. He escaped, like me. I don't have many memories of that time, because of all the drugs the used to put in me, but I remember seeing images him and wondering who he was. Some day maybe I'll find him."

"A test tube subject?" Mint thought about it for a moment, "can't help you there. As far as I know, the last artificially-created experiment passed away due to...uh..stuff." Gin lifted the other boy and placed him on his shoulder. He picked up the empty plate and disposed of the leftover mess in a nearby trashcan.

"Funny," Mint laughed as he settled on Gin's shoulder, "you're the only other person that uses the word 'Subjects' that we've met in a while. Maybe he's the one you're looking for. He talks to himself a lot." He made a face, remembering the scent and taste of the blood. "Anyways, miss, you can stop by our place and rest for a while if you wish." He grinned at her as Gin picked up the teddybear from the bench.

"Passed away?" she looked away, thinking. "It couldn't have been him. But I don't know anything about him other than... than that he's like me. Maybe he wasn't born the same way I was but I know he's like me. I can't believe he's dead."

She stood up on the bench. When someone else, someone who talked to himself and knew about Subjects, her attention became acutely focused.

"You've met him, haven't you? The man who wears a bright green coat, glasses, has red eyes?" her expression grew sad as she spoke. "He... no... he's not the one I'm looking for. But..."

Mai shrugged, not finishing her sentence.

"I'd be glad to come along."

When they were getting ready to leave, she stepped down from the bench, ready to follow them.

"So you have other friends too? It's more than just the two of you?"
