Azzo made his way to the biggest known candle shop in Destiny, which was the one in the mall. It was always the mall... Azzo frowned for a moment as he paused to look at the 'specials' before walking in.

He really wasn't sure what possessed him to think about doing this but he shrugged stopping by what seemed to be an old holiday bin, with discounted candles that hadn't been sold out yet. He'd grabbed a basket when he walked in and filled the bottom of it with different holiday scents for Grams. He knew she liked to burn candles around the holiday times to confuse him when she was baking, it was tricky of the old lady to do such a thing but he could understand why. After all if he ate all the thanksgiving food before thanksgiving there wouldn't be any left for turkey day.

He rolled his shoulders as he kept walking, wondering what to get Aurora as a 'house warming' gift. It was the one thing he hadn't done yet... looking through different types of candles he eventually accidentally bumped into someone else. "Oh, I'm sorry." He said after a second looking to see who he'd run into, "I should've been watching where I was going..."

He should have noticed someone so close, and gaining on him, but he hadn't. Alexandre was one of those who liked candles, and just just because they gave off light. He liked them for their scents, hence why he had a jar candle open and his nose pressed into the candle sniffing. Maybe it would seem disgusting, or rude, to some but the smells were so good and in many cases accurate. It was his distraction which caused him to be walked in to, if only he'd seen them coming so close to him.

Stumbling he gained his balance quickly, he found he had rather good balance. Looking up at the person who'd hit in to him he pulled the jar away from his nose, which the glass rim had rammed in to. "Indeed, though I should have been watching as well."

He wouldn't admit that he'd gotten caught up in sniffing a candle, not that he didn't get caught up in sniffing ever single scent. The basket hanging off his arm already was temporary home to several little jar candles of varying scents. Among them was Vineyard, Grapevine and Oak, Autumn Harvest, and a few others.

Obviously he either had a dislike of the dark, or he had a thing for candles and their scents. Maybe a slight obsession even?

"Are you looking for something, or just browsing?" Obviously they were looking for something, but did they know what they were seeking? Or were they browsing in the hopes of finding what they were looking for?

Azzo knew people liked to sniff the candles most of the time so he was able to conveniently not notice that. He gave a grin when the other seemed to not be mad at him. The question though took a second of thinking before the boy was able to reply. "I'm not sure really. See I have this friend I want to get a house warming gift for. However, I don't know what sort of scents she likes in candles."

He was looking at the row in front of him. "I know she seems to wear some food scented perfumes..." Lame way of describing it but what else. "I mean I know what to get my grandmother, specially when it comes to the holiday bins, but as far as a girl friend...." He shrugged clueless. "I dunno if I should just get a bunch of different candles for her and let her use which ones she likes best or just get a couple fancy ones and hopes she likes them."

He paused, "Oh by the way, I'm Azzo Crowley." He offered the other his hand in greeting.

Food scented perfumes...? Now that sounded very disturbing in Alexandre's opinion. Why would someone want to smell like food? Thinking over what the other said the blond finally spoke, while taking the others hand to shake.

"Alexandre Evans." With his words found he went on to speak further. "What does she like, flowers? Does she seem to enjoy certain things, gravitate to certain smells when your both out?" Personally he liked floral scents, but he had a thing for flowers, other relaxing and light scents were also appealing for the blond.

"Think of the times your together, and focus on what might give you clues." There should be something that could give him a clue/hint. He knew if a friend, Lily, were buying him candles she'd just have to think of all the times he was sniffing flowers or how he would sniff a little more at certain things, at the beach, cool winter nights. He liked the smell of pine and snow, leaves or fire places being burned.

It perhaps sounded weirder than it was, Azzo normally associated things like vanilla and oranges to food. "Nice to meet you Alexandre."

Azzo seemed to ponder this, "Hm... well I know she had this, orange and vanilla spray she wears." He wasn't honestly really sure about anything else. Looking around the store, "Maybe sweet or citrus scents?" He was rubbing at his chin looking around.

He frowned slightly, "She also seems to like metal things. They would have neat looking candle holders around here right?" Maybe that would be an easier start.

Deciding to help, as he seemed utterly unable to help himself, the blond motioned the other to follow him. "Like wise." Why did he bother doing this? Simple, the other was hopeless and hopeless people were often times annoying to watch.

"Candles holders are over here." Again, the motion to follow, as he lead the way. The store had holders, some were nice glass ones and some metal. Preferring the glass ones himself, especially with patches of colored glass to form images like stained glass in a church; only the pictures had nothing to do with religion.

On a lower shelf, knee height, were metal ones. From ones that looked like lamps with designs punches out so it cast light around on the walls of the room it was in, to the typical ones that help long tapered candles. There weren't a lot of metal ones, there were far more glass ones.

"They have orange and vanilla, not together, creamsicle, and other scents." And he'd help figure some out, sticking with citrus and fruits. Maybe a summer theme, if you wanted to think of it that way. "The glass ones are nicer, design wise." In his opinion of course. He had an idea of some candle scents the others girlfriend might like already. He'd get those once holders were decided upon.

Azzo smiled as the other seemed to decide to help. Following the other to the candle holders Azzo was trying to think of more things that Aurora might like. However, he was drawing a blank, "Maybe next time I should just get a gift card for house warming gifts... I didn't want it to seem impersonal though...."

That was always the problem. He was looking at the candle holders, picking out a few simple metal ones, one with a shade it happened to have some star cut outs, and was looking through the glass ones. Specially the stained glass since it looked like a few those had interesting designs. Stopping at one with that had a star on it. "Oh, she'll love this." He picked it up looking at the holder and turning it around twice. It might've been a little 'religious looking' but to him it was just a star. "She likes stars." He added with a simple shrug. That might also be of help, if he'd thought of that sooner, but stars had nothing to do with smells in his opinion.

"It is impersonal, and says you don't know them well enough." He stated, deciding to chip in his two cents. "Rather pathetic, in my opinion. You go with things they can use, and will decorate." Something which served two purposes. Rolling his eyes he let the other pick out candle holders. Setting his own basket on the check out he motioned for it to be untouched. From next to the check out he grabbed another basket.

With the new, empty, basket hanging from his arm he started going for candles for the other two get his girl. Citrus smelling candles were picked out, lemon and lavender, orange, vanilla as opposed to french vanilla. "You could get her something dealing with stars, perhaps a flower also. Something that won't die wit the onset of winter or fall." Saying this with a look to the other.

"I would look into star themed ideas however since your going with scents, and house warming. Flowers and candles work well." At least it seemed the other could pick out holders. He'd handle the candles. The only problem Azzo might have is affording things... "This is for a girlfriend, correct?"

He paused looking at the other, "Well I know, that's why I didn't grab one. Though I might get one from the kitchen store because while I know she likes to cook I don't know if she needs anything." He paused watching the other roll his eyes.

Picking up different candles just to look at the scents he continued to follow the other, "Honestly, I'm not if she likes flowers or not. I really haven't ever seen any in her little apartment. It might be hard to planet them too if she's living in an apartment." He paused, "Though it could also be possible she's allergic to the real flowers, I'd rather ask her before I got her something like that." There was a small frown, obviously unhelpful. However a light bulb seemed to go off, "Though... I know where I can get some metal craft flowers, since she seems to love to collect metal art works." He smiled.

He paused, Azzo wouldn't really have any problems affording things, though it'd just mean he'd have to figure out where he was going to eat. He was getting tired of fast food and Grams was still out of town. "Yes." He replied simply.

Listening to the other, glad he could chip in the idea of metal flowers, he nodded. "Than metal ones would work. You should get to know her better, unless it's a really new relationship." And they hadn't been friends before hand, that was obvious. He was one who held to the idea of friends and then partners. It worked better, a nice transition and you both knew each other well by then.

"You should find out about allergies anyway, incase of food ones. But since this is for a girlfriend, and you obviously care for her. I'll cover it, my way of helping you; and her." He said, with a shrug of his shoulders. He could be nice, and helpful, at times. Like now, he was being helpful and nice, even if he couldn't hold his tongue the best. He was a romantic at heart, and it was that which had him wanting to help by paying for it.

"Consider it my way of helping you welcome her into her new apartment."

Azzo nodded, when the other agreed metal flowers would work. In Azzo's opinion they looked better because they lasted longer, plus the whole secret identity thing played into this as well.

He shook his head, "She actually cooks. She's pretty good at it, so I'm not sure I'll be doing much food shopping for her. Anything else I might can pick up along the way. I'll see about chocolate and peanuts though." He knew that was the two most common allergies but he was pretty sure he'd seen her handle things with those in it. Having known her as a friend for as long as he had, even if he didn't know everything about her; he didn't seem to feel bad about not knowing certain things.

There was a pause when the other said he'd pay for it. Giving an owlish blink Azzo had never been on this side of the fence before, he was always the one buying someone else stuff. "Uh.... okay?" He said almost questioning of the reason however he gave a slight cough. "I mean sure, if you'd like to. Helping me pick something out was a big help though. I wouldn't want to be too big of a burden."

"Consider it me helping further, things can add up. See it as...a way to help you..." Searching for words, while he moved around the candle store getting more for himself. Scentless tea light candles, scented ones, jars and more. He had a thing for smell, but he'd once read; somewhere, that scent was one of the strongest senses. It could help recall memories and feelings.

"Welcome her properly. I'm assuming your a student and not many have deep pockets." Thankfully with his parents not minding his money spending habits, at least not to his knowledge, he was able to claim deep pockets.

"Not to mention I'm in a fairly good mood, so I'm spreading it a bit." A tight smile from the blond was sent toward the darker haired male. "I like to indulge anyway, so it won't be abnormal for me to spend so much." Metal flowers...maybe if air brushed would look nice, a thought which whispered through his mind. Simple metal and they'd be boring and bland.

Azzo nodded softly, "Thank you." He said after a second of thought. Well, the best he could is pass on the kindness or repay the guy later somehow.

Giving another nod, "Yeah... sort of. We both are. I'm just taking a small break to find a job." He added with a small shrug, he didn't really need one but it was better than just doing nothing. He seemed to hum, "So do you think we have enough to be a good house warming gift? Besides those metal flowers that is. I think I'm in luck and that's not too far from here anyways, so I can stop on my way to pick those up."

The other admitting he was in a good mood seemed promising, "Ah well, I always heard if you pass on kindness good things are bound to happen." He paused, "Grams keeps reminding me of that." He nodded, as the other said it wouldn't be abnormal. "Seriously thanks. Hopefully Aurora will enjoy these." He was thinking about making a basket out of all this stuff. He knew where some wicker baskets were.

Candles were a nice thing and metal flowers, if metal was her thing. They lasted longer than the real thing, though so did dried flowers. The problem with dried ones was how fragile they were, they really fell apart quite easily.

"I'm sure she will, they'll make things feel...nicer." He knew candles could easily turn a foul mood into a much calmer one. A way to alter ones mood, music worked well also. But candles did a very nice job of it, they were good to have in a home in his honest opinion.

It wasn't normal for him to spread kindness around, it was rare, but being in the mood he was in and this person trying to find a proper gift for his girlfriend. He'd decided to help, maybe he should finished long tedious paintings more often.

"Shall I leave you to it from here?" After handling the candle payment of course. Had he known of the others basket idea it would be met with approval, it was cliche but it worked. Perhaps it was the fact that it was cliche which allowed gift baskets to continue to work on people? It would make some sense, especially since it was seen in stores as pre-made baskets and movies showed baskets being delivered and other things. Yes, it would make sense.

Azzo nodded, "More like a home." He said as they moved to the counter. He could agree to that, probably the only thing that would make it more like home for Aurora was if he found a way to make it snow and be as cold as Alaska.

He gave a nod, "Yes, thank you for your help." He said with a smile, "See you around?" He asked after the payment had been made, "It was nice to meet you." He added in parting.
