Dark Tide was in a craggy, hilly area. He was used to fields so this was a little unsettling for him. The things he did to patrol for his brother's herd amazed him. "Ouch," he said as a stone caught in his hoof, he shook the offending foot ineffectually. "This better pay off t some point," he muttered to himself. He tested the air but smelled nothing and he could see no footprints on sold stone. Nothing else to do but keep moving he supposed. The crags took him to n outlook and he peered over it, looking for Azrien.

Mystic's Night was trotting about. She is good in hilly areas so climbing them isn't a problem for her. She is walking about enjoying the cool air. Though her coat has a habit of giving her away to those that might hunt her because it glows a bit. She hears something as she stays still a moment. Then hearing something else she makes the choice to book it. And that she does running on the rocks leaping from one to the other with grace and speed. Finally coming to a stop close to the area Dark Tide is in.

Dark Tide heard the scrape of hooves against rock and tensed. Whoever it was was moving fast. Where they in a spook? Should he be running? Could he do more then trot on these treacherous stones? "Who is there?" he called. He moved closer to the noise as adrenaline started to spike through his system. The hooves seemed to have stopped but he still could not see who it was. He started to shiver slightly, there was no way out and he was at a distinct disadvantage on stone.

Mystic's Night listening for the sounds of a wild cat. The scent is gone and the sounds of it hunting seem to have stopped. She sighs in relief. "Maybe it was after a bunny." She hears a Stallion's voice asking who is there. She trots up so now she is in view of the Stallion. "I am here. You don't look comfy on these rocks. I take it you are from the meadows?" She can see that this tundra isn't this Stallion's strong point. "Be warned this is a mountain lion in this area so be careful." She warns as she moves with grace on the rocks turning her back to him. She wasn't in the mood to be chewed out by a Stallion she doesn't know. Her tail sways a bit as she is thinking where she should go from here.

"You're right ma'am I am most uncomfortable on these rocks." Tide said. "I come from Sandar Lake." As if to prove his point he tripped ungracefully. "Pardon me, but what is a mountain lion? I have never seen one before and the stories I have been told were not very explicit." Tide prodded. What he had been told was that they were huge and fierce and what he knew was that he was not that great at moving swiftly on jagged, unforgiving rocks. The whites in his eyes showed a bit but he was comforted slightly by the mares presence.
Dark Tide watched her move smoothly over the rocks. "How do you do that?" he asked in wonder. She was going to think him simple with all these questions. He wasn't, he was just out of his element.

"Mountain Lions are huge cat like creatures. Sharp teeth and claws. Long tails.. Graceful movements no matter if there are on rocks like these or on the plain lands." She looks at him a bit with a giggle. She turned about and leaps from rock to rock as she got closer to him. She then leans in a bit with a slight whisper. "A long time of practicing. Start on the lower smoother rocks. Leap back from one to the other. Do that over and over until you get it right. Then you should pick it up quickly how to move on this tundra."
She leaps to a rock a bit away from him. "It is the season that the mountain lions are breeding so the mothers to be are out hunting and eating as much as they can so be careful out here." She points out to him. Her eyes look up a bit as she smiles a bit. It was a nice time to be out and about.

"Eagh, they sound unpleasant" said Dark Tide. He glanced at his bruised knee. He would definitely have to practice this was ridiculous. "Thank you, I will definitely follow your advice." He was bleeding. My precious life blood! I feel faint! he thought dramatically smiling to himself. Better a bruised knee than a mountain lion. He shuddered.
This mare seemed happy and she was certainly interesting to look at. He could tell that she was no threat to his herd so he asked. "Do you ever come down out of the mountains? What is your alignment?" he asked curiously, keeping his face open and trying not to insult her by saying the wrong thing.

"My alignment is Good. And I do come down out of the mountains from time to time. If I have a reason to." She stated. Not knowing his reasoning for answering she leaves it at that. She leaps to a different rock. After all this is where she is most at home. Her and her younger sister. She looks at him a bit more and closely. "How is your Knee?" She wonders as she stretches a bit. This stallion didn't seem to be dangerous. So this isn't something she needs to bolt from at all.
Flicking her tail a bit her eyes scan the area making sure the mountain lion isn't close by.

"Sore, I could still run and fight, but on these rocks, I would be less than effectual" he said. "Would you like to come visit my herd sometime? There is a foal their who would love to learn all about these mountains. He is full of curiousity and has had a bit of a rough time lately. He would probably love to hear stories about mountian lions." said Tide. He extended his leg, testing it. "My alignment is good too." he scraped a hoof against the harsh stone... what a place to live. Well, he supposed, if one could move easily on the rocks it wouldn't be too bad. But he wouldn't relish a mountain lion as a neighbor. "Are you alone here?" he asked, wondering if she had a stallion or a herd or if she was alone. What a brave mare.
(What a coincidence Dark Tide's younger brother is also a custom in waiting )

Mystic's Night looking at him a bit as she smiles. "Well I am filled with stories as well as times I have come across Mountain Lions. So I wouldn't mind visiting and being a story teller." She pointed out as she looks at his knee. "It will remain sore if you keep up in this tundra seeing you aren't use to it." She stretches again as she ponders on his last question.
"My younger sister lives up here with me from time to time when she isn't out and about finding new places. So as of right now I am here alone. My chosen has a herd but I don't stay with them.. I am a bit of a rebel that way. Oh my name is Mystic's Night but you can call me Mystic. What is your name?"

Dark Tide glanced at his knees and sighed he would just have to call this place scouted for the moment as he had an inability to travel on it without injuring himself. He would heal and then he would practice. being a scout was hard work.
"My name is Dark Tide" he said and bowed as well as his injured leg would let him. "I have no chosen yet but only time will tell."
"Would you care to accompany me back to flatter land so I don't get eaten?" he asked strictly controlling his face so as to not burst out laughing. Getting eaten wasn't a funny matter but he couldn't keep the happy mischief from his eyes.
