This is where you can post suggestions and ideas to help benefit the guild. You can even post new match ideas.

Well when me and my freind used to backyard wrestle we came up with one we called the king of the hill match. Now at a predetermined area (lets say the top of the stage) there would be ropes, one for each competitor (we usually had four). The object of the match is to be able to grab a hold of YOUR rope for a consecutive count to 20. Otherwise there were no rules with weapons and whatnot being perfectly legal.

sorry i was a little tired when i wrote that lets see. Allright so four competitors start in the ring in a no disqualifications match. The object of the match is to fight your way to the top of the ramp and grab hold of one of four ropes for a consecutive count of 20. The count is broken if one of your opponents manages to grab one of the other ropes. hopefully that was a little clearer the match is a little hard to get down on paper.

I have and idea to make the match a little more interesting. It would be one of those idea that would be fun to rp out, but too dangerous for real life.

Your have a custom made ring for the King of the Hill match.

There is a three tiered ring, with the bottom ring being 35' x 35' Constructed as a regular ring. In the middle of that is a 25' x 25' ring of standard height. In the middle of the second tier is a 15' x 15' ring. Each ring is 4' high from the bottom of the apron to the mat. The wrestlers start at the bottom, between 4-8 per match and must fight their way up to the top ring.

Two different variations of winning at the top could be either time gained while occupying the top ring alone. With the winning time being 10:00 minutes combined time.

Example:

Wrestler one has spent 5:36 minutes on the top alone.
Wrestler two has spent 8:12 minutes on top alone.
Wrestler three has spent 9:55 minutes on top alone
Wrestler four has spent 9:57 minutes on top alone.

Wrestler three and four are on top, while one and two are both down and out on the floor at the bottom. While both wrestlers are on the top ring their timers stop. Wrestler three manages to knock four out of the top ring so hard he rolls down to the bottom tier. His time starts up again four seconds tick by as the crowd chants the time down. However wrestler one manages to climb to the top to stop the timer at 09:59. Wrestler three kicks him off and wins with one last second.

The second variation is winning a certain number of falls while on the top tier.

Example:
Wrestler one has gained 4 falls.
Wrestler two has gained 3 falls.
Wrestler three has gained 4 falls.
Wrestler four has gained 2 falls.

Wrestler one just preformed his finisher on wrestler four and puts him in a submission lock. Wrestler two and three are both fighting on the second tier. Wrestler four looks like he is about to tap out but wrestler three preforms his finisher on two and slides him into the top ring reaching in to cover his shoulder. The ref counts to three just a second before wrestler four taps out. Since the first wrestler to gain 5 falls wins, three has just won.

I hope that made sense, if not feel free to ask and I will try and make it more clear. Im not knocking the rope idea because it sounds like a fun idea. My idea was just inspiration from your mentioning a king of the hill type match.

I hope y'all like it.

I like the second version of the match, that ould work. At our next PPV Escalation, along with the escalaion match. That sounds really good, could we use it as a EGW exclusive.

hey i like it. Thats actually closer to what we did in real life i just didnt know how to make it happen in a roleplay setting. but if it would work it could be pretty cool. The real life match seemed impractical but it looked cool on camera. Basically our little backyard wrestling shitshow had about ten guys and our big "pay per view" was called "king of the hill" The real match we had an actual hill by my house that had a steel cage at the top (it was a hydro set up not dangerous unless we entered it). It was a 10 man free for all where you had to scramble to the top of the hill and grab onto the cage. The first person to have a hold of the cage for 1 minute was the winner but time didnt count if someone else had hold of the cage. It seemed impractical for the guild but i like what the other guy came up with.

Well I would hate for other people who want to use it not be able to because they arnt members of, or pushed by the guild.

However as long as credit goes to The Number Three, EGW can have control of the match with other federations being able to use it with EGW consent.

Sound good?

Yeah If you read the match and original egw matches, it states that people can use them as long as they some how give credit or reference EGW.

But yes I'm going to narrow it down for the description. (I couldn't think of how they were tiered, and wanted it to be kind of realistic, so this is my attempt. And because I thought of some things heres a variation)

EGW Skyscraper match:

This match consist 3 tiers of rings. This is possible due to a Metal rectangular cage that comes down over the main ring. The cage contains 2 hanging "Rings" These are held by scaffold like bars on all 4 sides. The second ring is 25 x 25 feet, and the top on is 15 x 15. They are each around 6 feet from each other making it overall 40 feet high. You get to these by climbing the side to get the scaffold. Once up there you must get at least 3 falls. Once this is accomplished the match is over. There is up to 4 - 8 people in the match

EGW King of the Hill"

This match consist of 3 tiers of rings. The bottom ring being 35' x 35' Constructed as a regular ring. Once on the top ring they must try and get 5 falls. Once that number is accomplished the match is over.

Now we can only pick one, I don't want to many of the same kind of match so which do you guys like.

I vote King of the Hill.

I actually have a simple schematic for the ring construction in my head, its more realistic and not restrictive like a caged in ring would be.

I have one more idea. Picture a Hell In a cell but more pyramid shaped. Its a chainlink structure with a 30x30 base and a 10x10 peak. Winner is based on time alone at the peak.

Personally I don't like matches where you have to stay somewhere for a amount of time, because think about it. Its harder to tell time on post while roleplaying so it makes it difficult.
