Danny stared down at the booburger that had been placed on her plate by the nice cafeteria ... lady? Ginger. She smiled and said, "Thanks lady. Nice hair color!" Orange was definitely the best color. Danny quietly found a nice spot in the cafeteria, out in the courtyard, to sit and placed herself neatly on a stone ledge outcropping.
A light clang was made when Danny set the petite metal plate holding her food on it down on the stone next to her. Normally Danny would've taken a moment or two to admire the view from how high up she was, but at the moment, she was too hungry. Hunger = distractions.
Reaching out for the burger, Danny's hands immediately lit up in a crackling spark of orange, yellow and red. Flames were so nice. The burger began to crumple and burn until the pressure and heat emitted from the flames, to which Danny simply smiled. Once the burger was adequately toasted (more like burnt to a crisp), she began munching on it happily, little black flecks flying from her mouth. Nothing like a good burger after a long day of doing ... well nothing really. She had found a really neat place that she planned to skate off of later, but that was for later.
The only thing better than food was company- which Danny hoped with accompany her soon. Food was always better together, right? Unless it was with someone who ate water. Did you eat water or did you have water? Calder had covered himself with it, and Roch said his spit had it. Ugh water was too gross. She hoped for someone who wasn't quite so ... wet.

Claire had heard and smelled it. Burning. Burning of food. Claire was outraged, so she ran to find the culprit. OH. It was Danny. That was okay, then. She was a fire demon. "Hi Danny!" Claire said to her, slightly out of breath from all the running. "N-nice burger!"

Danny was on her second bite of food when Claire popped out of nowhere into her line of site. She stopped mid-chew to say, "Heyfa fare cuflaire," which roughly translated to "Heya there Claire." She really needed to learn to swallow before she spoke, but etiquette was not her forte.
Confused by Claire's comments, she looked down at the burger in her hand. A few black flecks fell to the ground, and Danny mourned the loss of any part, no matter how small, of her beautiful hamburger. Finally she swallowed and said, "Is it nice? I don't really think hamburgers have like ... good and evil, you know?"
Claire seemed a bit winded by the climb, so Danny patted the spot next to her and said, "Sit down yeah?" It was an invitation, but Danny looked so eager- how could anyone say no?
With a mischievous look in her eye, Danny said, "So how are you and Moureeee~" Danny wasn't aware that Claire had ended up crying at prom over all of the drama surrounding Roch, Moure and Claire. She was just an innocent bystander- well maybe not so innocent- who was observing the situation after all.

Claire accepted the invitation and sat down quite happily. "It looks delicious is what I mean..." she said quietly, eyeing the burger with the look of someone who had just seen their favourite toy taken and played with in a way that they didn't like. She wasn't going to say anything, of course. She decided that she would stop sulking and get her own burger. So she took out her bag and grabbed the first burger she could find. It was skitter meat. She almost choked when she heard Danny mention Moure. "I- don't know. Haven't seen him since prom." Claire tried her best to sound casual.

Danny continued munching on the burger, probably much to Claire's dismay. Any discontentment in Claire's attitude completely slipped by her though. Danny wasn't about to pick up sorrow from anyone's actions or emotions. You would have to bluntly say "I want that burger, give it" to get her to notice your intentions.
What Danny did notice was the burger that Claire had pulled out of her own bag. It obviously wasn't from the cafeteria, and it was freshly homemade. Now that looked yummy. Still, just like Claire she wasn't going to say anything. She had her own burger, and was happy to eat that. So she told herself.
Claire sounded a bit upset though. Maybe the burger wasn't as good as it look? With a shrug, Danny forgot about it instantly. "Not at all?" Well that was too bad.
Danny tapped her chin and thought for a moment. "I think I've seen Moure three times since prom. Once in class, another time playing Skario Kart in my dorm and once when we went out to lunch," she paused for a moment then added, "Well I guess we didn't really go out to lunch. It was more like I got food and he tagged along." Well how could he anyways? Undeads didn't exactly eat.
Suddenly, Danny jolted upright where she was sitting remembering something else. "Oh! And we had a sleepover together!" She smiled to herself like she was laughing at some hilarious joke with a friend. "That was a fun night."

"Not at all. That's... a lot of times! I'd feel sort of... awkward contacting him. I don't know how i'd go about it, you see." the casual tone was slipping. What if... no. Definitely not. She pushed her face into a content expression and dealt with it. "What did you do on the sleepover?" she said politely. Perhaps Danny could give her some information.

Danny tilted her head in complete confusion. "Why would it be awkward? Do you have trouble holding your skelephone or something?" She didn't get that Claire meant social awkwardness. As they say, ignorance is bliss.
With Claire's next comment, Danny was even more confused by the ghoul. "You don't know how to contact someone? Most people just use their skelephone, but I guess you could use groanspring." Danny tapped her chin, thinking of more ways for Claire to communicate. She was being useful! "I guess if you're feeling old fashioned you could write him a letter and slip it under his door. If all else fails you could just try shouting from the demon dorms to the undead dorms." She smiled stupidly like a kid who spells the word "cat" for the first time. Small task, giant accomplishment.
She was so busy listing ways to communicate that she almost didn't hear Claire's question. She bit her lip though. Was she supposed to share the great secrets of a sleepover? Weren't they supposed to be really secretive parties?
Of course, Danny had never been to one before her adventure with Moure, so she still wasn't sure how the dynamic of a sleepover worked.
Danny decided to go with the safe answer. "Oh you know... normal sleepover things. Sleeping. Whilst being over," she waved her hand as she spoke as if to say "no big deal." Her insecurity was definitely showing though.

"Only because... I don't know really, ignore me." she said quietly, fiddling with her food slightly. She glanced at Danny and in her head she wondered about her briefly. She obviously was not understanding a word she had said so far. Claire found it slightly amusing, yet confusing at the same time. Amusing, mostly. Claire didn't realize it, but she had found someone at the same level of intellect as her and she was fascinated by it. Truly. She got even more amused when Danny started listing the ways that Claire could contact Moure. "I know." she said quietly when Danny listed the skelephone and formspring. She smiled at the letter idea... that would be slightly creepy though. It was a school for halloween creatures, though... Maybe creepy was the wrong word. Cornily romantic to the point of awkwardness, perhaps. However, the thing that amused Claire the most was when Danny mentioned the idea of shouting to the undead dorms. "I don't think that would work. They're not that close. Besides, shouting would kind of hurt my throat and I need that for eating, I think... I think? I don't know. I went to the undead dorms once, though. To visit my brother's friend Christof. He got mad... it was all very peculiar. But, um yeah... I'll work it out."
Claire raised her eyebrows at the sleepover comment. It rang slightly false to her, as though Danny was hiding something. She narrowed her eyes and stared at her, wanting more. "What sort of stuff? Anything... silly happen? Funny stories?" She continued to eat as she stared dramatically at Danny. Something was off and the intended to find out what.

Danny stared at Claire. Claire did just say to ignore her. Well if that was what she wanted. Is that what she wanted? She just said that was what she wanted. Well okay claire.
Danny just stared at the building, at her food, anywhere but Claire. Completely ignoring her.

"Danny?" Nothing. Not a word. She wouldn't even look at Claire. It was as though Claire had evaporated, or never existed. Claire's amusement was suddenly drowned out by confusion and it held a tight grip on her. What was Danny... doing? And why? She seemed to be ignoring her.
Ignoring. Ignore. Ignorance... Ignore me.
It all clicked. She had to erase somehow what she said. "Okay, although you're ignoring me, you can hear what I'm saying. I'm future Claire, and the Claire that told you to ignore me was past Claire. I'm older than past Claire and everyone knows that the older you are, the more authority you get. So, I am telling you to ignore past Claire's comment about ignoring me. So you don't have to ignore me any more. Hello!" she said, and the Hello at the end was rather out of breath. But she had a smile on her face so it was all okay.

Danny let out a sigh of relief and turned back to the future Claire. "PHEW! I thought I might have to ignore you for the rest of the day." She smiled and rotated her neck a bit. It was a tad stiff from looking away for so long.
"If you hadn't showed up, I dunno what would've happen!" She said, shaking future Claire's hand vigorously.
Danny took another bite of her booburger, and then wrapped the rest up for later. She would throw it in her fridge when she got back to her dorm. The fire demonness patted her stomach, and said, "Mmmmm that was yummy." She looked at future Claire and smiled
A sudden thought dawned on her. If future Claire came back to the past, that must mean there was a purpose right? "Wait wait. Why did you come to the past? Was there some secret message or power you were supposed to bestow on me or something?" Danny's eyes glittered with the excitement and promise of a new power.

Claire gasped. Was she really in the past? She stared hard into Danny's eyes and yes, Danny looked slightly younger for some strange reason. "Maybe I am here to deliver a message? But to who? Maybe it's you, maybe it's Moure, maybe the both of you!" the thought danced in her head for a moment while the confusion and amusement battled it out. Amusement won when she worked out what had happened. "Oh, no, I'm present Claire now." she said cheerfully, munching on her food some more. "I guess we'll never know what future Claire came here for... until the future, of course!"
Nope, confusion had made a comeback. All this future and past stuff had Claire's head spinning. She did some confusion eating for a while before snapping out of it and saying "ANYWAY. I really should go soon, my favourite show starts in about fifteen minutes and it's a cliffhanger so if I miss the start I'm screwed!" she said urgently, checking the time.

TOO MANY WORDS.
Danny's brain shut down for Claire's monologue, and then rebooted itself when she said "I'm present Claire now." Okay, that was one question solved, a million more to go.
Then Claire stood up to leave though! Danny reached a hand out to stop her, but Claire was already gone. There were still a lot of questions she had to ask! Like how Moure and Claire were doing, what the undead dorms were like ... She hadn't even explained her sleepover with Moure!!
Still, there wasn't much she could do right? Danny stood up and brushed little booburger crumbs off herself, then shouted, "ENJOY YOUR SHOW PRESENT CLAIRE, I'LL MISS YOUUUU!" A few gnomes looked at Danny skeptically. She created a fireball to scare them.
The gnomes started running, obviously scared by the impending fireball (Danny wasn't actually going to throw it). Unfortunately for Danny, moving objects meant chasing them. So Danny ran after them, and the two demoness' meeting concluded.
