Cats.
Cats were the subject of the day, and one in particular pressed on Cameilla Carter's mind. Her cat, Nyancat, who was missing. He had snuck into her rucksack that morning, and though she had scolded him and told him to stay put until the end of the day, he was a at, and thus ignored her to wander the Academy. Worried that Black Blood might find him before she did, Cammy had snuck off during lunch to quickly retrieve her feline friend, wandering the halls and looking for the telltale rainbow fur. She had a clue, at least. Since Nyancat often ate crayons, his hairballs were frequent and rainbow coloured. All she had to do was follow the trail.
Nyancat was trying very hard not to cough up hairballs as he wandered through the Academy. This was where his person went every day, and so far, he didn't approve of it at all. It wasn't colourful enough, and there weren't enough fish or sleeping places. Still, he rubbed up and shedded on everything he could, because as long as he was there, he might was well let other cats know. Nyancat was very territorial, and this was his little girl's school, therefore his as well. Surveying his new dominion, he saw the legs of other children up ahead, and since they were on the premises, he decided that these must be his as well. He trotted up to the closest one and rubbed up against a pair of legs, uttering a single "Nyan," to alert the legs of his presence.
It wasn't a meow. Nyancat had a vocal problem, and so it was simply the word.

xxx"A-aah!" A small voice cried out, startled by a soft brush against her bare leg. Looking down, Anemone Bianca Pfeiffer was embarrassed to learn that a cat had gotten such a reaction from her. Ducking her head to hide a blush from the few students glancing in her direction, the girl looked down at the tiny feline. Anemone herself was a huge fan of animals of all types; she had many pets but none were allowed to accompany her to the Academy. She couldn't help but smile warmly at the cat, the adorable animal was a sight for sore eyes.
xxx"Oh, hello there." Anemone muttered, kneeling beside the cat to reward it with a few pets. "You shouldn't be running around here, should you?" She glanced around, but no one else seemed to be interested in the cat. The colourful feline let out another 'nyan', to Anemone's surprise."Isn't that an adorable mew, Mr. Kitty?" Anemone cooed, scratching behind the cat's ears. Still, no one seemed interested in the cat or helping Anemone, for that matter.
xxxAnemone straightened up, tapping the tips of her index fingers together."Uhm..." She looked down at the cat blankly, completely torn as to what to do. She couldn't just leave it, could she? But there was no way she could find it's owner; the school was huge and she was new. Scooping up the small cat, Anemone decided the best course of action was at least to get it out from the busy hall off to somewhere away from the inattentive feet of busy students.
"Don't worry kitty, I'll help you find your home ~"

The cat seemed pleased by its change in circumstance, and remarked "Nyan," in reply. It was rather unnerving as, though the change in its demeanour seemed positive, it did not purr or make any noise indicating so besides the same remark it had made before, but it made this with all due enthusiasm as it glanced around the school from its new perch. At length, it rubbed its face up against the girl it had found to make extra clear that she was its property now, shedding as profusely as it could manage, which was a shame for her outfit at the very least.
Eventually, something caught its attention and with a more emphatic "Nyan," it bunched up in her arms and leapt at another girl walking down the halls, a girl whose hair was a strange shade of bubblegum pink, but no stranger than some of the students in the Academy. She didn't notice at first, but when the cat landed on her back, she shrieked and went white from terror- quite literally. From her bubblegum pink hair to her red boots, her colour changed like it was being drained out of her, and when she swiveled around to see what the cause was, she blinked, surprised to find the cat. She picked it up and looked around as if wondering how it got there, and when she saw Anemone with rainbow hair all over her, she called out, "Oh! Did you bring my cat here?" She sounded baffled, and for her pains, Nyancat shed on her vigorously.
((Sorry this took so long! If you don't want to continue, let me know. <3))

Anemone patted the colourful cat in her arms gingerly, not too sure what to make of the sounds coming out of his mouth. Was it sick or something? She certainly had never heard a 'nyan' noise come from a cat before, or anything remotely resembling one. Ane supposed that he didn't seem upset, hurt or anything like that and he looked very well fed- in fact, Nyancat seemed to be having nothing short of a grand old time from his new vantage point. So it came as a surprise to Anemone when he suddenly, without warning, lept from her arms and latched onto a pink haired girl's back. To Anemone's shock and horror once more, all the colour literally drained from the previously pink haired girl. It took Anemone only a few seconds to connect that it must have been related to her power but dear god her mind broke for a moment there.
"U- u- uhh," Anemone stammered, pointing a finger at herself. "Y-yes, I did. He was wandering the halls s-so," The girl choked out, wrists flailing defensively as she motioned frantically while she spoke. "I thought it best t-that he got out of them before classes changed." Not everyone was as attentive as Anemone, and the cat was so small... Noticing the copious amounts of shed fur on Rainbow thanks to her ghost-like colour, Anemone took a moment to pat at her own clothing, albeit in vain. "S-so... is he yours?"
