...their Pokemon will play.
Lindsay was bored out of her mind. Shawn had left her in his room in the morning and hadn't returned since. He had assured her that he would be back by evening, but had strangely neglected to tell her where he was going. It wasn't as if she could ask him, but he usually remembered to let her know. For a guy who didn't believe pokemon were 'people' and was skeptical of their ability to feel emotions, he was pretty considerate of her feelings.
Though, sadly, the Jolteon reminded herself that it was probably all just out of fear that he behaved so kindly to her. As much as she had tried to ignore it at first, it was all too evident in the way he acted around other pokemon, her, and especially in the way he spoke about pokemon to other humans. He talked as if they couldn't understand what he was saying about them. It was hurtful, even to the Rocket-born, battle-hardened electric-type.
Still, he always worried when he couldn't find her. That always brought a smile to her face. Even if she knew the loss of her would cause him to get into trouble with the other Rockets, she liked to pretend, if only for a little while, that Shawn actually worried for her safety. Somewhere in her heart, she still believed it. It was in his voice when he called her name - the concern and the fear that she might be hurt. If she used her imagination, sometimes she could even hear the relief in his voice when she returned to his side. If she looked away, she could pretend not to see livid fear that returned to his eyes with her.
She couldn't stand all day thinking about her trainer when he wasn't there. The Jolteon feared she would go mad. Making a decision, she headed to the nearest bed. Hopping from there onto a nightstand closer to the door, she leapt for the handle bar to pull it down. Gripping the metal with her teeth, she gave it a shock as she fell, allowing the door to promptly swing open. For once, she was glad Shawn underestimated her intelligence. He hadn't bothered to lock her in the room. Free, the Jolteon scampered into the hallway and down towards the training rooms in hopes of finding something to take her mind off of the kid.
((Note: Lol, I know Shawn probably wouldn't lock the room anyway considering he shares it with 7 other people, but maybe they all have key cards? Also...I was going based on the assumption that it was like a hotel room where a key card was needed on the outside, but not the inside. Please let me know if I need to change anything!))

A Spiritomb wandered the halls of the Grunt and Trainee dorms, searching about as if she'd lost something. In fact, she had been ordered by Grunt Nakura to search for two of his missing pokemon who had escaped from his new dorm earlier in the day. Celty was growing increasingly aware the she was allowed to spend more and more time outside her pokeball. However, she was also growing slowly more aware of the fact that she was playing baby-sitter to the two new Purrloins that Izaya had obtained from his twin sisters.
Where could they be? She wondered frantically, looking up and down. They couldn't have gotten far, could they have...? Just as she was about to give up for that floor, she heard a noise and silently turned the corner. What she saw was Mairu and Kururi running from one dorm room door to the next, pawing at them. Celty couldn't imagine what sort of motive they had in mind until she heard them speak to one another.
(no one)...> Kururi said in a disappearing voice.
Mairu assured her quiet counterpart.
Kururi nodded. (while we wait)... explore (can we explore)?>
Mairu replied in an up-beat tone.
The Spiritomb darted back behind the corner, thinking she had been spotted, but then she noticed the yellow-gold spikes of fur walking down the hall. She recognized the Jolteon from back when Izaya was in the Trainee dorms. Lindsay belonged to that scrawny, spiky-haired kid, if she remembered correctly. But where was he now...? Was Lindsay all alone?
(let's follow)... play (to see if she'll play).>
The twin Purrloin set off after the electric-type - who, by this time, was already headed toward the elevators. Celty panicked. She wasn't sure where the twins were going or what they were doing, but if they changed floors, that meant she had to follow. Silently, she entered the elevator with them, but the two recognized her immediately.
(you found us)...>
Mairu cried, pouncing on the ghost.
Celty blinked as she was pounced. Was that where they were headed? The training room? Well, maybe that wasn't so bad...she could think of a lot worse things the twins could have been doing with their time. Besides, even if she wanted to take them back she couldn't. Even if she used Hypnosis to knock the two out, she had no arms or psychic powers to carry them back to the dorm, and she doubted Lindsay would help her. The ghost and dark-type sighed. She glanced at Lindsay.

As the Jolteon leapt up to tap a button summoning an elevator, her ear twitched and she glanced hind her, teeth bared. When she saw it was only a couple of Purrloin kittens, however, she relaxed and turned back to the elevator. She didn't need to waste her time on kittens.
When the doors opened and she entered the tiny moving room, though, the Purrloin twins followed in after, shouting to her to wait for them. At least one of them was, being significantly louder than the other. With an irritated growl, she ignored their attempt to converse with her but allowed them to enter the elevator with her. Before she knew it, a fourth pokemon was entering the tiny room. Another female. Lindsay looked away, snarling faintly.
<...Basement 2,> the Jolteon replied grudgingly to the Spiritomb called Celty. She had to admit, the ghost dark type seemed pretty powerful. Her push-over quiet demeanor made Lindsay snort in disgust, though. Maybe she could get this Celty to battle her once they reached the training room in order to see what she was really capable of. She held her head high as she sat on her haunches, poised. Obviously these three were new to Team Rocket. They were far too cheery for Lindsay's tastes and they were already beginning to get on her nerves - not that she had a fondess for other females or pretty-colored pokemon in the first place...

Mariu replied to the Jolteon cheerfully, not the least bit deterred by the electric-type's gruff attitude.
(spar)...> Kururi answered her twin, thinking this idea sounded like fun. She seemed a little less oblivious to Lindsay's disgust of their cheeriness, however, because she took a few steps away from her and towards Mairu.
Celty sighed, but at least they had a destination and a purpose. With that in mind, the twins were less likely to go wandering off causing mischief and more likely to spend time doing something productive, like bettering their battle skills. Who knew? Maybe she could even help them out a little and better her own skills.
As the elevator finally stopped at Basement 2, the girls got off and headed down the hall together.
Kururi nodded. (empty room)... inside (let's go)?>
The lighter, younger of the twins glanced over to see her sister pawing at the door of a slightly ajar room. It didn't seem to be occupied...
Celty levitated up to them, looking cautious. Though the ghost and dark-type knew that most pokemon wouldn't mind, she couldn't help but think of that one time Faleen's dark Spiritomb had been released into the training room.
She didn't know what he might do to the Purrloin twins if the girls suddenly stumbled in unannounced and interrupted his training practice or something. Carefully, slowly, the wary Spiritomb slipped in through the crack between the door and the threshold, glancing back once to make sure Mairu and Kururi were staying put.
Mairu commented in awe, twitching her tail anxiously.
(she's nice)... wonder (why)?.>

As all the focus was on the room, and the brave Celty who was going in first to check things out. A much less cautious, and curious form suddenly stepped over to the group, and peered forward, standing next to the kitten twins. <... What's going on? is there something in there?>
Large red eyes blinked a couple of times, and what appeared to be a shiny colored Zorua was now standing among the group, having skidded there excitedly over the floor. Smirking lightly, and watching the door closely, in a ready stance as if prepared for something to jump out at them. Bring it!
She wasn't alone either, the party she was with just didn't seemed to have the same enthusiasm as the youngest in their team did. The clicking of large claws on the hard ground joined the small group, the noise coming from the largest of them, an Absol, who for the most part looked normal, save for the blackness of his eyes. His expression seemed to mach the emptiness as well, while observant and watchful, his eyes quickly scanning each of the pokemon he had never met before, everything else about this Absol seemed distant, and cold.
An Umbreon, nearly a food shorter, and with considerably less fur to fill out his presence was next to the Absol, padding forward in silence, it was clear to see this one was the top of the team. His form looked solid, and sleek. He looked like he could take a hit, thats for sure.
Umbreon didn't seem anymore friendly then the Absol, did, though there was definitely more life in his eyes (as dark as it was) then the Absol had. Umbreon approached the group that Zorua had decided to go over to. Umbreon said, with a light grown in his tone.
Zorua flattened her ears.
He left his piercing red eyed stare onto her as she withered in front of him, before looking over to the other pokemon in the group. Two Purrloin, a Spiritomb, and a Jolteon. He asked,

Lindsay came up behind the Purrloin twins at her own pace, though the Spiritomb appeared to have disappeared into the room already and a new, fox-like pokemon had joined the other two. The Jolteon recognized its species from the cafeteria when one had pretended to be Shawn, though she didn't think she had ever seen this particular one before.
Along with the young one, a fifth and sixth pokemon joined the group at the door. One was an eeveeloution, just like her - an Umbreon. Lindsay quickly recognized it as the one that was nearly always alongside the blonde Rocket agent woman. It must have been the favorite of the agent's to have been out and about with her so often.
The other was less familiar and somewhat more intimidating with its larger stature. Nevertheless, he too seemed well-behaved as a Rocket pokemon and not very eager to fight. An Absol, if she was correct. Despite being taller than the Umbreon, however, the Absol did not appear to be the leader of the newcomer group. Lindsay couldn't help but admire the silent authority that the Umbreon's mere presence commanded from his comrades. She wasn't about to show it, though.
she asked the Umbreon in a half-mocking tone. There was nothing playful about the way she spoke it, though; it seemed more like a challenge than jest. She wasn't about to admit to this proud dark-type that she had lost her boy and was out looking for him out of boredom.

Upon being joined by several new dark-types, the first pair turned around while waiting for Celty to return.
Kururi explained.
Mairu exclaimed, more or less indirectly answering the young Zorua's question. asked the upbeat Purrloin, ignoring Umbreon's scolding of the Zorua or the little fox's change in demeanor.
Kururi, however, upon seeing Umbreon, timidly took a step behind her sister. Why were all the eeveeloutions so intimidating around here? They were nothing like Kasuka, who was an Espeon. The larger, more silent Absol with the black sclera didn't seem any more friendly, either.
Mairu, on the other hand, if intimidated, gave no sign that she felt as such. the Purrloin offered cheerfully in the Zorua's defense.
Kururi asked the Umbreon, not liking the idea of calling Izaya their 'master'. It held the connotations of one who had complete and utter control over their slaves.

The Jolteon was first to speak, the only non dark type in the group that they had approached. Red eyes snapped over to her, and eyed her almost critically before said eyes were narrowed softly, and his head lifted up a little higher. He replied, not amused with her comments, and that much showed.
When the Purrloin spoke, bringing up a rather juvenile point... yes they were clearly young, like Zorua was. Umbreon didn't answer, Instead just looked a little annoyed.
There was an answer though, it just wasn't from Umbreon.
It wasn't sure where the voice was coming from until a dark blue and black colored Banette formed into view, drifting over to the other group.
Umbreon narrowed his eyes at Banette, but still, said nothing to him. He answered the Jolteon's last question.
Zorua, who seemed to perk up a little more, giggled at the comment of the twin purrloin, trotting over to peek her head into the room, ears fanning forward

Lindsay asked, cocking an ear curiously. She didn't realize that the dark-type was probably referring to his own obedience toward his trainer. The idea that pokemon could accept that they were 'subordinates' to their humans was something the Jolteon was not willing to even consider. My human obeys me just fine, and he's been doing so from the get-go. He didn't need so long to earn my respect.> By the way she spoke, however, it was difficult to determine if Lindsay knew what the term 'respect' meant at all. Lindsay to you,> she added, proud of her nickname.
Listening to the conversation between the younger dark-types and the new group, the Jolteon couldn't help but cut in. you, ghost?> the electric-type snarled, suddenly a great deal more irritable. It seemed she shared her trainer's dislike and mistrust of ghost-types, though also a great deal of animosity towards them for causing her boy such nightmares on a regular basis.
me.> A direct challenge. It was just her style. Lindsay was itching to battle, as always. Confident pokemon always sparked her interest, because she had the most fun taking them down and crushing that arrogance into the dust when she showed them just how powerful she could be. By now she seemed to have either forgotten or blocked out Umbreon completely; her focus was entirely on the ghost-type as her fur bristled.

we could handle you!> Mairu replied to the ghost cheerfully. you!> the purrloin teased the Banette. everyone knows that dark-types beat ghosts like you!>Kururi continued to look concerned, wondering if they were angering the Umbreon. She hoped he wouldn't decide to tell on them. They weren't exactly doing anything wrong, exactly...right? They were with Celty, after all. Besides, it wasn't as though Izaya probably even cared about where they were; he hadn't really wanted them to begin with. He probably just wanted to make sure they didn't get him into trouble. That was one of the reasons Kururi and Mairu had actually wanted to train. They wanted to be so good that even Izaya would take notice and maybe even be proud of them. So far, though, he'd seemed to show them nothing but contempt, as if they were their previous owners in pokemon form. With the right amount of hard work and determination, though, the purrloin pair hoped to change that. the darker purrloin informed Umbreon in her melancholy tone. She decided if they were of the same type, then it would be easier to train because they could strengthen themselves against the same weaknesses. On the other hand, Lindsay the Jolteon just seemed to want to blast everyone in sight. Kururi made a note to be wary of her, though so far she hadn't seemed to deem the twins enough of a threat to attack. She'd let them tag along, after all. Mairu began animatedly, before the Spiritomb herself reappeared. she said, slipping herself and her keystone through the crevice of the open door. she greeted the whole team of newcomers. She glanced at the twins and the Jolteon. There seemed to be some tension in the air. she offered, placing herself strategically in front of the twins in case a fight broke out and she needed to protect them.<- this is Celty,> the younger twin finished, not seeming the least bit aware or intimidated of the tension. She seemed far more amused by Celty's cautious reaction. As far as Mairu was concerned, the other dark-types were no one to be concerned about.

Oh yeah had she ever misinterpreted his words, and Umbreon showed it by looking back at the Jolteon with one side of his brow arched up. In fact, her entire concept of humans obeying pokemon earned her looks that would best be described as 'wtf?' from all three of the older pokemon. The side of Umbreon's lip curled, showing a momentary flash of white canines before a sharp "teh" hissed from his lips. He added, his ears flicking back against his skull.
Banette lifted a floppy hand up to his head with an exasperated look on his face, the Purrloin accusing him of being weaker then them because of type advantage, and then the Jolteon had to step in with a challenge to his strength as well. He knew he was the weaker type of his team, but really? He was starting to think he was doomed to be underestimated by everyone outside of his own master. alone> Purposely leaving out the fact that it STILL beat him.... It was the pokemon of a League Champion after all, it beat all of them. He leaned forward, the wisps of his mostly free flowing arms flicking the zipper piece hanging from the side of his mouth.
Absol, who was still remaining silent tilted his gaze up, wearing a small smirk on his face while Banette tried to defend himself.
Zorua had been mostly showing off when she said they could take on a dragon, not that she had any doubts. but to hear that they actually had, surprised her. Ears flopping to the side, as her mouth fell open a little, staring at Banette in bewilderment, before she shook herself out of it, glancing over at one of the Purrloin as she asked Umbreon to train them. a brown wispy Spiritomb joined the group after, surprised to see the new group and asking if they were going to train too. Zorua yipped, bouncing up onto her feet and tossing her head. she leaned in
Umbreon didn't react to Zorua's claim, instead he looked to the Spiritomb that floated out. <... Yes, we're here to train too. I guess now this means we'll have more of a variety of opponent then each other.>
