Welcome to the How To Set Up A Journal Guidelines!

Here we will be setting up some guidelines and suggestions for how to set up a journal that were not put in the rules. Most of these won't be rules, just ideas and suggestions we have for setting up a neat journal ^w^

>>Basic Guidelines
>>Coding: Although this is obviously not a rule, it is always nice to see a journal with a lot of love put into it!
>>Some nice colours, some pretty graphics - anything to make the journal more personal. For the sake of our
>>eyes, though, please don't make the text smaller than size 10!

>>Division: Try to keep different information divided into different posts. For example, keep a separate post
>>for the civilian and the rookie. You could even have a separate post for the basic information on the civilian
>>and the personality information. Anything to make the journal more organised. Remember, shorter posts are
>>more accessible!

>>Journal Entries: We would really appreciate if you make it obvious what type of journal entry you're making.
>>Some people like to record all their roleplays along with actual journal entries in their journals. This is perfectly
>>fine, but we do ask that you make it clear what it is that you're recording! This just makes it so much easier on us.

>>Point Tally: Lastly, it is your responsibility to keep track of your points!. Once you have enough points for
>>your characters to "graduate" from one class to the next, you need to notify one of the staffers, and they'll
>>check through your roleplays/journal entries to make sure that you haven't miscounted. This process is made
>>a lot easier if everything is recorded in your journal, one way or another! If you want to make a separate post
>>for each roleplay, that is fine! If you want to link all your roleplays in a single post, that is fine too! Just make
>>sure that everything is kept track of!

    Forms

Here I'll list some forms we suggest you use for different things, such as the civilian profile, rookie profile, etc. Again, these are guidelines, so feel free to pick up stuff you find interesting for you character, and leave out the stuff that you find less important, and add anything that is not in these forms, that might still be important for your character!

We do request that you keep the basic information from the civilian form, though, and all the info that you need for an approved rookie profile must, of course, be incorporated somehow.

    >>>>>. Civilian Profile Form:

Basics
Name:
Nickname(s):
Age:
Birthday:
Zodiac:
Origins: Where does your character originate? Tasean mixed with Ronth? Pure Crantel? How are these origins portrayed in your character?

Looks
Height: Please give both feet and meters!
Bodytype: Is the character tall and lanky? Short and brawny? Slim but busty? Does s/he work out a lot, so it shows?
Facial Features: The shape of the face.
Hair: What colour is the hair? How long? How is it normally styled?
Eyes: What colour eyes, and how do they look? Are they narrow slits, or large and expressive?
Special characteristics: Any special characteristics that might identify your character, such as a tattoo, or a special birthmark? Maybe scars from earlier battles?
Clothes: How does you character dress in civil? Do they dress completely different from their hero alias to hide their identity, or do they take it easy?

Personality Traits
Try to give 3-5 different positive AND 3-5 different negative traits. Remember to keep the character somewhat balanced.

Life
Family: Do you have any? If so, how is your relationship with them?
Housing situation: Where does your character live?
School: How long has your character been at the Academy?
Work: (only applicable to Heroes) did you stay and teach at the academy? Or do you have a job on the side of your heroic business? Or did you perhaps decide to not hero at all, and just get a normal job?
Backstory: What is your backstory? Not the hero backstory, but the civilian backstory.

>>>>>. Rookie/Sidekick/Hero Profile Form:
Hero Name: This part is for heroes only, obviously xD This is for your ultra cool final codename.
Rookie/Sidekick name: This is your first alias!
Powers: List your power here (The short'n'sweet version of your power)
Abilities: List what your super power means that you can do! If you're a techie, perhaps you're a genius with numbers! If you absorb sun, perhaps your ability is to swim in minus 30 degrees like nobody's business!
Age upon entering the academy:
Powers obtained by: How did your character obtain his/her powers? Born with it? Amazing object granted power? Fell into radioactive waste?
Strengths: What are your strengths, physically and psychologically.
Weaknesses: What are your weaknesses?
Motivation for becoming a hero:

>>>>>. Pet Profile Form:

    Suggested Posts

This is a list of different posts that we suggest you have in your journal. We also suggest that you have all these in separate posts, to keep the length of a single post down. But again, these are simply guidelines, and you can pick and choose between the different ones you would like to have in your journal.

At the very least, you must have a hero profile in your journal, somewhere to record your roleplays, and a point tally!

¤ Introduction
✰ Well, you can't get around this one. This is the first post of the journal, made by the mule. This will be updated by a mod to suit any changes that happens to your character.

¤ Table of Content
✰ It is nice to know what is where for both mods and other players when they're looking through your journal!

¤ Civilian Profile
✰ Separate the civilian profile from the rookie profile! This makes it easier for us to distinguish between the two individuals if they, for example, change their looks between civilian and hero form.

¤ Hero Profile
✰ The same as a civilian profile, but for the hero instead. This is mandatory

¤ Power source
✰ This might not apply to everyone. If your abilities are based on some power source that is something you can write pages on, we suggest that you make a separate post for it! For example, Night Stalker's power is that he can become a black leopard. So Taneko has made a separate post from his hero profile, where she has information NOT ON NIGHT STALKER, but on the black leopard.

¤ Pet profile
✰ Obviously, not everyone has a pet or a mini-pet. But if you do, we strongly suggest that you make a little post for them too, so that people know that you own a pet!

¤ Relationships
✰ It is always nice to keep track of which characters you have met, and how you felt about said character! It also makes it easier for other owners that are trolling through journals, trying to find plots! If they see that they can create some major love-triangle-drama between your character, theirs, and a third one, they're more likely to ask you for plots!

¤ RP Log
✰ This is obvious. Somewhere to log your rps. This is mandatory!

¤ Point Tally
✰ Where you keep track of the points you have gained for journal entries, roleplays, classes and battles. This is mandatory

¤ Belongings
✰ Stuff that your character owns! This is a nice way to build who your character is, and it is also nice to keep track of things that are given to your character ICly. Stuff that might be pictured here could be clothes, shoes, jewellery, plants, books, etc.

¤ Photo Album
✰ Obviously, SA has a big fanart community. A photo album is a nice way to both show off previous stages of your character, but also showcase any and all fanart that has been made. This can be fanart made by staffers, art that you have drawn yourself, or art that you have commissioned.

¤ Trivia
✰ For all those little oddbits about your character that doesn't fit anywhere else!

¤ Timeline
✰ If you have a character that has a very long backstory, or there has been a lot of different rps over the time, it might be nice to have a timeline that explains what happened when!

¤ Credits
✰ Please give credit where credit is due! Let people know who drew your character, make sure that people know that the character is yours, give Mori-zae credit for coming up with this awesome shop. Although this is not technically mandatory, most consider it common courtesy.

More will be added as we see fit ^^
