I figured there might as well be a working topic about this. Personally, I could care less on which one I prefer but I wanna hear from the rest of you guys.

Do you love the subbed version? Does your heart belong to the English dub?

Anyone agree that Spain sounds hot either way?

And how many of you are ready to do some MAJOR China dubbed bashing?

I like both, although I prefer the sub. The dub is good, it adds more "American" humor.

The original voices for Spain and England are just amazing with they sing. Just something about Arthur's rock style and Spain with his spanish guitar makes me smile. ~^_^~

When I first saw China I was a bit confused on the gender since the sub sounded female (and it is) but then not long after the first ep. I figured out the character is male. I don't have anything against China's dub voice. I know there isn't a lot of "aru"s

I don't really watch the anime much at all, but I really dislike the dub. Changing characters' personalities and the tone of the series...not cool.

The dub sounds just plain weird and wrong, and the VAs sound like they're trying too hard to sound sweet/cutesy/macho/natural.

Ever seen the Hetalia Seiyuu Event? The Seiyuus did live voice-acting, and as I watch them, I think they look and sound natural.

While I like the small jokes that I catch here and there from the wikis in the dubs, I really dislike the way they sound. Mein Gott, I couldn't even figure out what Italy and Germany were saying in the first episode of the dub.
