Summer. Prisca's favorite time of the year. All the flowers. The cool weather. The berries ripe for the taking. And she could put her heavy clothing away in the basement for the next winter. Her normal style of clothing was fit more for warmer weather. Rarely did she like to wear full sleeves and socks. Never would she wear pants. At least her dresses were usually warmer around her legs, the hems dragging on the ground.

The woman dropped the bag onto the sand besides her. With a day off from work, she had decided to take advantage of the sunshine for a trip to the ocean. Ever since she had returned from Kanto, she had been having a craving for the water. Back when she'd lived there with the scientist and his son, she could always hear the waves of the ocean splashing against the docks south of Lavender. Hearing the waves on the shore, now, reminded her of home. It made her happy. As well as a little homesick. She'd been so close to her family, yet had been too nervous to stop by. Kanto was so far away from Unova. She doubted the people there had yet noticed the strange happenings of Pokemon taking on more human forms. What would they think of her? Would they think her a trick by Team Rocket, even so many years later?

Banishing the thought from her mind, Prisca was about to untie the strings from around her neck when she stopped with her arms still raised to her shoulders. Like a criminal paranoid of being chased, she checked the skies, keeping as still as a Stantler in headlights. Quiet. Everything around her and in her mind was quiet. Good. Satisfied, she untied the strings and let the dress fall to the sand.

The thought of asking Xero to join her had crossed her mind. But remembering the last and only time the man had caught a glimpse of a swimsuit, she'd reconsidered. He'd been embarrassed enough. Not to mention, the thought had equally embarrassed her. She was always so covered up.

Banishing that thought from her mind, as well, Prisca folded up the dress and placed it in the bag. Making her way over to the ocean, she placed one foot into the water with a contented sigh. Just what she needed after all those months of worry. Walking out until the water reached just below her chest, she dipped her body downwards so the waves reached her skin. There was barely a breeze today.

Below her, the purple tail that was one of her two trademarks floated lifelessly, like a dark reed growing from the sand.

Summer time for Net meant less hours at work. With so many interns coming in for summer work she didn't need to cover as many shifts as she usually did. Which was good because she knew her boss was getting a bit worried with how much time she'd been putting in recently.

The downfall to summer, however, was how full her usual swimming pool got because of children who didn't have to go to school. Younger children and teens alike and she wished that they would find their swimming preference at the beach instead. She was always rather amazed at how many avoided the beach for the safety of the pool.

"Guess I'm not the only one who's not a fan of Sharpedos," she murmured to herself as the concrete paths gave way to the warm sandy beach. Granted it wasn't like she feared Sharpedos, she just wasn't a fan. Might have something to do with the sharp teeth they seemed to have.

Of course she was wary of beaches for more specific reasons then the pokemon that preferred salt water. But it was the only reason she could fathom why teenagers would choose the pool over the sea.

Opting to hover, did she ever walk?, Net made her way further down towards the shore line, looking for a place to set her things. She needed a spot where her belongings wouldn't be out in the open in case some one felt the need to rifle through what wasn't theirs, but some place where she wouldn't lose track of it either. Maybe she'd just have to make do and hope no one had sticky fingers.

Passing by a spot set up already, the small mew paused and glanced it over before looking out at the water. There was a considerable power coming from the ocean and she found herself immensely curious as to the source. She knew there were a few mewtwo around, Pierre had even confirmed it when she had asked him at one point... Could the figure out in the water be one?

Feline ears twitched atop her head and it took quite a bit for her to ignore the strength of her curiosity to just go and find out, which might possibly startle whomever was out there. Setting her basket down first, the bag went second upon which she pulled out a large towel and set it down before moving everything to sit on top of it. She'd wait and enjoy the sun a bit before she went and acted like a nosy fool to the form in the water.

Unlike some Xero found himself indifferent about this season. It was like any other save for the change in temperature. Most of his time was made restoring his house and performing small jobs to keep some food on his table. Something he had not mentioned Prisca with good reason. A bit of Pride was to blame for that, it was slightly uncomfortable for him to have to depend on others.

Today he found time to remove himself from the old house and take a relaxing 'walk' a good few miles above the city. He still found the air much more clear up there. Subconsciously he drifted more toward the ocean to look out over the vast blue waters. He could still see traces of the creator he had created in his fight with Prisca those many months ago. A hurtful reminder of his temper, but it had bugged him less. Especially now he had not been isolating himself from her so much. Now that he thought on it, the behavior was a bit obnoxious.

Xero watched the small waves form than crash on the shore with little enthusiasm. The lack of a good wind was to blame...

"Hmn?" He hummed as he caught sight of a small ant sized dot in the water. Though he was so high up, it was unmistakeable who that was. Prisca, the mental feel was unmistakeable. And there was another dot on the beach who was also familiar?

The fur on his tail stood on end as he focused more on that figure. Something about it was unsettling, for whatever reason that figure frustrated him.

The small dot in the water had rolled over onto her back, quite unaware of the forces getting closer to her. She was almost dozing, she was that comfortable in the water. There was nobody else around. She was all alone. In her thoughts. The shifting of the waves made her feel like she was on a boat. Predictably, her mind pulled up the image of a large ship. A fancy liner, by the looks of it. Not the one from her home region, but another. Just as beautiful looking. One moment she was on the deck and the next, as she drifted more off to sleep, she was in the ballroom. Standing in the middle of the large group of people. There was a hand reaching out to her. She took it without hesitation. The face of whoever it was was shrouded in a haze. That haze spread to surround her and she stopped, confused as it tickled her.

Tickled? Even for a dream, that was strange. The purple eyes opened back up, staring at the clear blue sky above her. The dream was gone, but the feeling of tickling was still there. Prisca realized it was that sensation in the back of her mind that told her Xero was close. Yet it wasn't his signal...

Moving her body to stand upright in the water, the woman moved her gaze to the shore. She wasn't far enough out not to see clearly the long pink tail.

Intrigued, she was about to wade her way back to shore, when the more familiar p***k appeared in her mind. Without looking up, Prisca shot out of the water, hovering above it just long enough to pick out his direction from the signal. She teleported back to her stuff, grabbed her dress, and pulled it back over her head, her cheeks a tad pink the entire time. It wasn't until the strings were retied did she remember the first presence.

"Oh....Hi?" The Mewtwo directed a sheepish grin towards the other woman, her cheeks slightly redder. Ever since returning from Kanto, she hadn't felt quite like herself. She hoped the sight of a Mewtwo teleporting towards her like that hadn't made the Mew nervous. It wasn't like the clones had a very good reputation.

At some point Net had forgotten about the form in the water as she had found herself leaning back on her towel like a cat basking in the sun. In fact, much like Prisca had dozed off in the water, she had as well. It wasn't until she had felt a new presence join them that she roused sleepily from her nap and glanced upwards.

However she chose to pay it no mind as it didn't seem much like it wanted to be bothered and could have been anything really. She wasn't too focused on it and so wasn't trying to get a reading one who (or what) it could have been. Besides, the small woman was more interested in the form in the water to care about who was up in the air.

Well, the other had been in the water until she suddenly arrived on the beach not all that far from her. Bright blue eyes blinked and quickly the Mew had hovered up above her towel as she began to study the other form. She seemed unbothered by the sudden teleporting, in fact she was more curious then anything. She couldn't quite recall seeing a mewtwo before in all her years.

"Hello!" she greeted brightly, tail swaying happily behind her.

Xero held the illusion under his feet out of instinct rather than sense. As powerful psychic pokemon as those were they could likely sense him at very least faintly. One would have thought Prisca being there would have brought him down already, however the others presence held him in place. Of all the beings to have near by! The fur on his tail begun to stand on end.

Perhaps it was rivalry that drew this deep rooted loathing, or perhaps it was jealousy. Xero never took time to think it thoroughly through. He hated mew, that DNA donor responsible for his existence. Blue sparks begun to jump from his fingertips, a habit he had yet to shake.

Maybe, maybe it was because that pokemon was happy. Happy, carefree, by what information he had stolen from the scientists minds this is what image that pokemon had with it. Jealousy than? What did it even matter? Why hadn't he just left yet?

Xero's focus briefly shot to Prisca than returned to the mew. Mew might be just as aggressive. Something told him that was not the case, but at this point he was coming up with excuses for himself to remain.

One worry was gone. Still left another, bigger one. But one worry was gone. Either the Mew took her lack of an attack or cold behavior to mean a good thing, or the smaller woman could feel how little a threat Prisca would be. She didn't think she liked something being tagged as constantly playful being more powerful than her. No matter how charming Xero may find her lack of ability, the Mewtwo would always be bothered by it.

But that wasn't on her mind right now. She was too distracted by the shape she sensed in the sky. On a normal occasion, he would have come down long ago. It couldn't be the fact she wasn't alone. It was just one. He'd willing, though reluctantly, walked into a sea of people before, with the only reason he'd done it being she wanted him to and that she was there. So one little person shouldn't make such a difference.

Unless it wasn't the fact she wasn't alone, but who it was that mattered.

"Xero, why are you hiding up there?" Prisca asked, speaking solely to him through her telepathy.

Net had long since grown tired of judging people by their strengths or weaknesses. Around much longer then she'd care to admit, the mew had seen every variation of power level and there had been surprises along the way. Regardless she didn't care if the Mewtwo before her was strong or weak, but that she seemed nice, if not friendly.

How someone tended to act as now her key on how to deal with them.

Though there was the curious case of the power that was up in the sky, a constant nagging in the back of her head reminding her that it was there and that something was going on with it. Bright blues glanced up towards the sky, her head tilting to the just a bit as an ear twitched. Though she could often suppress it, Net was curious by nature and the need to know what was up in the sky was easily winning out.

Blinking to the other woman, the mew gave a grin then shot up into the air for the hiding one.

Why was a good question. It wasn't fear of the mew, nor that she gave off a very ancient aura. Spite perhaps. Xero clung to his grudge of the ones who were responsible for both parts of his DNA. Such a carefree life and meaningful existence, something he still felt he lacked.

Before he could send a mental reply to Prisca he found himself face to face with the Mew. His pupils narrowed to thin slits against his indigo iris as blue sparks jumped from his fingers. A natural response to stress or unwanted surprises. For a moment he thought to teleport away and be done with it, but the more he looked into her sapphire eyes the more he wanted to hold his ground. Instincts screamed for a fight, for a victory against this ancient presence. Logic thankfully held that at bay, and perhaps another present helped keep the instinct hidden as well.

His tail begun to sway behind him. Any words he had thought of saying had been lost in his glare. Even the simple questions were gone.
