 Chara stood in a clearing, it was nice to feel the warmth of the sun on his dark coat for a little bit but being black was hard on him during the summer. He usually spent most of his time in the forest, only coming into the clearing when a wind was nearby. His golden eyes scanned the tree line as he sighed to himself and shook his mane. He reached down and began to graze

 Silver eyes peaked through a break in the forest toward the plains. She was scanning the area for a bit until her eyes fell upon the black stallion with the white and yellow markings. Tilting her head curiously, she mustered up her courage before slipping from the forest. Her tail flicked gently as she strode out calmly, head slightly bobbing from her gait. She nickered a greeting perking her ears forward toward him. She stopped a few feet away in case she was intruding on his territory.

Chara looked up quickly at the sound of hoofsteps nearby. He spotted the white mare, how could he miss her with the flaming red mane and tail? He smiled a little, glad to have company of the opposite sex and bowed in greeting. "Hello fair maiden. My name is Chara, might I ask what yours is?" he said politely.

Nailiah gave a small bow of her head coming closer. Her nostrils flared as she took in his scent, ears perked forward listening to his voice. "Good day, Sir. My name is Nailiah. A pleasure to meet you, Chara." The mare gave a little bit of a smile. "Out for a friendly stroll, Sir?"

Chara smirked "Something like that" he said and looked up into the sky "Since I have a dark coat I usually stay in the shade but I wanted some sun" he added. "I suppose you're out for a stroll?" Chara bent his jet black head down and began to graze.

She took a breath gently snorting. "I suppose it was a stroll. I mostly wander from time to time just to see what is out there." Nai nodded before starting to graze herself, her ears flicking and tail twitching and waving behind her. "Doesn't it get terribly hot for you?" The mare inquired, silver eyes gazing up toward his form as she fed.

Chara smirked and laughed slightly "Yes, It can get quite warm for me, especially in the summer. That's why I'm usually near trees" he spoke gesturing with his head to the tree line. "I like to explore too, I enjoy taking strolls and seeing new things." and new horses he thought to himself. While he didn't seem to get along with most azrein, this mare seemed to be nice enough. He hoped she wasn't one of the king's cronies. He respected the King but some of his followers were a little self righteous.

Nailiah stretched her frame as she raised herself from feeding for a moment. She nodded in agreement to being near a tree line for the worst heat moments of the day. "I whole-heartily agree. Though I am white of fur, my mane and tail still draw heat, and quite frankly still heavy. I should wonder if maybe I could ask Dark to cut it..." Her mind wandered off a little, but quickly stood back to attention. "It's a favorite I suppose. I like seeing new things, meeting new Azrein and humans..sometimes. Do you have a chosen? I haven't really run into any others that have one." She craned her neck forward to snatch some grass before raising her head as she chewed. The mare stared into his golden eyes, her own silver ones glowing gently. She liked the way the white circle around his eye accentuated it. His markings were different and interesting, but he wasn't unattractive. She liked the length of his mane and the impression he gave off as well as his demeanor. She'd hope that he'd be a possibly good friend for her at least.

The black stallion smiled at the mare and finished his grass while he though about how to answer her question. He despised people but liked the mare and did not want to offend her. "I don't believe in finding a chosen. I don't like humans" he said softly, trying to hold the hatred out of his voice. "Do you have a hum...I mean a chosen?" he asked mildly.

Nailiah tilting her head a little, ears flicking forward to catch his words. He seemed really hurt and angered by the word and species in general. It saddened her heart a little. Maybe someone did something to him? Her eyes held compassion as she whickered gently. "Dark is my chosen. She's also my friend." Nailiah wasn't ashamed by Dark, but she did realize that there were those who would be ashamed at the thought of having a chosen or even living alongside humans. That would be difficult for everyone really. "But enough of that..Tell me something about yourself, Chara?" The mare changed subjects quickly. She wanted to befriend the stallion, not chase him off due to different viewpoints. Everyone was bound to have them and well...she'd rather not isolate those that didn't share hers.

Chara nodded his head, agreeing to talk about something else. "Well...let's see." he racked his brain for a short while before he replied "I'm not really sure. I tend to be a loner, but would like to find a herd soon" he ripped up a mouthful of grass so that he had an excuse to think longer. When he was finished he added "I'm a bit of a prankster, so watch your back" His voice was playful, obviously flirting with the mare.

"A herd would be nice...though I would think it would be hard for me to find one. Though there is a herd for those aligned to King Azreth, I wouldn't think of me to fit in." The mare gave a mental shrug bending forward to snatch another patch of grass. At his last comment, she gave a small whicker of a giggle eyeing him gently. "Shall I, dear trickster?" Nailiah teased flicking her tail toward him. The mood was certainly getting lighter.

The stallion smiled and winked at her "You should, you never know when my chivalrous ways will give way to a more devious personality" he replied and walked behind her nipping her playfully on the side of her hind leg. He trotted around to face her and then continued grazing, as if nothing had happened.

Nailiah eyed him warily before returning back to grazing. She suddenly jumped at his touch looking behind her to see who was there. Nailiah just caught a flash of black rump and white tail before she turned back to face Chara. The mare chuckled coming forward to n** at his ear in a playful fashion then to his side to n** his back before she began to canter off. "Tag, Chara." She called back to him.

Chara whinnied in surprise and spun around to see Nailiah cantering off. "Oh I'll get you back" he said to himself as he cantered after her. He let her get a starting lead, making it more challenging for himself but knowing he could catch her. He laughed as he kicked into a full gallop, his large muscles bulging as he covered twice the ground she did. He watched her rear, her beautiful ruby red tail swaying in the breeze. He smirked, feeling very playful and galloped a little faster, yanking on her tail as he passed by her. "Tag, YOU'RE it!" he proclaimed and slowed down a little. He dodged through some trees trying to keep Nailiah on her toes
