Many hundreds of thousands of years ago, it was widely believed that someone said to be Graziri was a Shinigami, but her Squad was unknown, but many widely believe (to the point of exaggeration) to have been in the Royal Guard, but this is just a myth. Whether or not Graziri was that said Shinigami was not quite known, but more of the unidentified Shinigami was that this Shinigami went insane and rogue against the Soul Society but was defeated and supposedly "died" at his or her hands, but apparently, she returned to the Soul Society in a time of great danger. That "great danger" was not known, but Graziri is said to have easily handled the threat and saved a great many lives. This is all a myth and whether or not Graziri is this Shinigami is still widely speculated upon, but it is fact that she was once a Shinigami in that time period.
As a "Human" in the World of the Living, Graziri has arrived only recently in Karakura Town. How long she has been out of the Soul Society is not known at all. As such, Graziri has been looking around to give the person she wants to find "hints" of ways to let the person "live his destiny and fulfill what must be done." Its mysterious as to what this intention is, but this message isn't known to anyone but herself and only herself. Graziri also knows apparently knows all of the current Captains, most notably Skothantos, well, but her connnection with him is something not known to anyone, not even Skothantos, himself.
