The smell of the sea swept over the grass and grazed Helberd's muzzle while he watched the waves lap against the shore. The sky above was cloudless, and the peaks of the mountains threatened to rip open the dark expanse of oblivion and let the shining, diamond like orbs spill out into the dark waters. With each second's passing, the stars sparkled and glittered - rivaling the most beautiful mare in a contest over who contained the most resplendent sort of presence. The large male, if he were to judge, would have to say that the stars would win. If not for their beauty, than for the mystery about them, about they way they hung there without falling or about the mystery of the way they had come into existence.
To watch the stars in the sky were one thing, but to see them reflected in the water was something more magical. Helberd imagined that if he were to dive in, that he would then be floating in the sky and swim amongst the stars themselves. Perhaps he could become one - shining just as brightly as the rest. Instead though, the male kept his hooves planted firmly in the sand. The waves lapped against them, beckoning for him to slip into it's silky, cold embrace - but tonight he thought it was better to stay dry than to take a dip.

 It was as if the ocean had called for her; for she was drawn to this location. It was always serene for her at night, with the stars shinning bright. Though tonight she wasn’t going to be alone because before her was a stallion with rather large antlers before his head. It was her first time seeing such a beautiful creature and she was slightly flustered to greet him. The ocean’s crashing waves and the sound of cicades had filled the night air to set such a perfect mood.
“Hello.”
She called out to the stranger with the antlers. Her voice was quiet and she was rather timid. She took a few steps forward into the moonlight.

The large male jumped slightly when the mare called out his name. His ears pricked and he swiveled his head around towards her.
The moment he saw her, he knew that he was wrong about who would win the contest for resplendence and natural mystery. It would obvious that the mare before him would win any contest. She was beauty, that was for sure, but then again most mares he had met were beautiful. Each had their own unique qualities, still Helberd had to admit that she was definitely one of the more entrancing ones. "Hello, beautiful apparition" He called out, wearing a smile, inviting her to come closer. "What is a lady like yourself doing out here, by the lovely ocean? Though, not lovely enough to rival you."

She was startled by his compliments and the young mare quickly tried to keep her composure. She looked up at him with her golden orbs with a faint rose color flush on her cheeks.
“I usually come by the ocean at night time.” she told him.
Star Ocean gazed upon him with a wonder of his travels and where he usually hanged around. She hasn’t seen many stallions with horns like his around her homeland. She raised her head with a bit of pride and flipped her blue tussled curled hair.
“I’m Star Ocean.”

Helberd smiled at the female gently, letting his features visibly soften. Trotting forward, he nodded, "Well it seems like a wonderful time for you to be out. Like the perfect time. Like you belong by the ocean at night." With a flick of his short tail, he motioned to the ocean with his head, "And it's no wonder with a beautiful name like that, as to why you belong."
Helberd walked forward to let the foamy mouth of the see lap at his hooves, "So, Star Ocean, what does a beautiful mare like you do in the day light?" Looking back, he smiled, "Oh and, my name is Helberd, by the way."
