• Subject's Mannerisms: Kaida Nara is, in short, happily determined. She sees nearly every event as an opportunity for advancement and usually finds a way to have fun at it, even if it annoys or troubles others around her. Every block in her path is a challenge that will be crushed. If something does not go her way Kaida tends to get vexed easily. In some ways this is beneficial, as it fuels her determination, but in other ways it makes her quite childish. She never holds a grudge, and has little time for others with sour or angry moods. If other ninjas want to wallow in their own misery they are weak in her eyes. Revenge is stupid, and battle is a game. Kaida enjoys annoying and frustrating her opponents when possible. Typically, she does not take anything seriously, unless it comes across as a competition or game.

• Subject's History:
  Kaida Nara has lived a fairly normal life growing up in Konoha. She has a mother, father, and older brother. Her mother is a retired Chunin who taught at Konoha's academy, and is now a house wife. Her father is currently a Jonin, but tries to spend as much time with his family as he can while still taking on a good amount of missions. Her brother is still currently a Chunin trying his hardest to advance to Jonin. He does not lead a team. Kaida is on good terms with all of her family, and is particularly competitive with her older brother.
  
  When she was younger, Kaida was teased by other children for wanting to become an ANBU. She was told that girls always gave up before getting good, like Kaida's mother. At the time, Kai attempted to fight the boys for insulting her thus. It would have been a wonderful way to prove them wrong, but she did not succeed. It was three against one, and she had not yet started her schooling. Ever since, Kaida has harbored a fierce competitive need to prove others wrong. This angry competitiveness has morphed slightly into a cheerful competitiveness, and is more beneficial.
  
  Kaida is looking forward to her time at the Ninja Academy, and hopes to master new techniques and meet new people.

Shadow Imitation Technique

The Shadow Imitation Technique allows the user to extend their shadow on
any surface (even water) and as far as they want as long as there is a
sufficient area. Once it comes into contact with a target's shadow, the two
merge and the target is forced to imitate the user's movements. Therefore,
the two can throw shuriken at each other at the same time if the user
desires that (of course, to prevent hurting themselves, the user just has to
have the shuriken holster in a place where you don't normally have it, like
the back, so that the opponent draws nothing when the user draws a
shuriken). If the target is out of range, the user can produce a better light
source to increase their shadow's size or rely on pre-existing shadows for
their shadow to freely travel through. It's also possible to split one's
shadow, either to trap more opponents at once, or to create a distraction.

The major downside of the Shadow Imitation is that it is tiring to use
repeatedly. If the user is low on chakra, the performance rate of the
technique also deteriorates. Insufficient lighting will make the technique
less effective. A particularly strong opponent can also resist the shadow's
forced imitation.
