Patchouli is great, but I don't think it's enough.

What do you guys use? / Any suggestions?

Actually, I'd like to know this too.

As for what I do, I just buy deoderant from Vitamin Cottage.

I heard that rubbing a halved lemon or lime in that area works. Haven't tried it myself though. If you do it, you will likely become photosensitive in that region, so use care if planning to sunbathe.

I use that crystal stuff that you dampen before use; It's okay.

I knew someone that did that in his hair. Worked well; he never had to wash it wink

Does it work for dreads? My cousin used to have them and I've often wondered; I imagine the antibacterial properties of citrus would help inhibit fungal growth as well...

I never used it when I had dreads, I was always told to keep everything out of it you can because you don't want the extra moisture to grow mold.

I kind of miss my dreads..... even thought they were pathetic white girl dreads lol.

I am totally confused by this thread. Is deoderant non-hippie-frendly? What's the dealy-yo?

Well, most deodorants are manufactured with the use of potentially toxic chemicals and packaged in containers that are not commonly recycled. That may have something to do with it.

Tom's of Maine makes all natural deoderant. It's not anti-perperant though so you still get sweaty you just won't stink as much.

Really! Thats something I didn't know. I've been thinking of going vegan for a long time. I don't know if I could give up my meat, fish, milk, eggs, honey, ect. ect.

"going" vegan? It's a fad now? stare

And there's a lot more about people's chemistry that determines perspiraiton and b.o. than a vegan diet.
