So the new Kamen Rider for 2012 has been confirmed and the official website has been released a few days ago. I was wondering what you all thought about this new rider. Personally I don't really like the design but I guess it does have potential with the switch motif. Lol, to me though, the logo is a bit off, it looks like it advertises blowing up bombs via switches. GG Well we'll see, I always have negative feelings towards riders towards the beginning but after a while, I begin to love them all. I was like this was OOOs too for sure.

I'm not overly excited for Fouze so far. The suit is very hard to get used to. I have negative feelings for how the suits are at the start of Kamen Rider just about every year myself. They grow on me the more I see them in action or their intended functioning. This one will take a bit longer to get used to though I think, since the head design is so odd and that belt is way too bulky for my tastes. I'm also not really enjoying how the switch system is looking so far. Their printer ink cartridge appearance only adds to the bulkiness of the belt for no reason. The cheap toy look for each of the add-on parts isn't impressing me either. Still, I'll reserve my full judgment on the suit and the switch system when I see it more in action.
The thing making me most apprehensive to this show so far though is the highschool setting more than the suit's potential, or lack of it. The plot revolves quite a bit around the school with the tired "Jocks, Nerds, Goths, Cheerleaders, ect" cliques. Everything with it, to me, points towards a show that is most likely going to have a lot of the episodes/moments that can bring a kamen rider to a screeching halt for me. Hopefully they handle it better than most recent series have though.
I do enjoy the space theme and look forward to how much they can explore it (and how far, past the solar system I hope). The hero might be alright too, seemingly a momotaros type person in attitude and fighting from what I've seen. I look forward to seeing the first episode, but I can't say I'm excited for the series just yet. We'll see once it gets into it's groove past episode 2 how it ends up I guess.

Yup, I can agree with all the points you made. Especially the statement about the suit design because as I mentioned in my first post, that is usually what gets me from the get-go similar to me not really liking OOOs suit. But then.. with Putotyra and Tajador LOL no way can I not like those designs. xD I'm sure there will be something similar to that in Fourze that will make my jaw drop haha.

With OOOs, the mix-combos are a bit weird to look at. I also don't like how the coloring turned out (GataKiriBa looks so odd with only one part of the chest having a gold circle outline). The suit does have cool design elements though and it works with it's motif. Changing the heads, torso and legs is a fun element for the suit and everything entwined with the enemy (Greeeds) makes it that much more interesting to see the suit in action.
I know we don't know a lot on the new rider's functions or background which is why I reserve my ultimate judgment for it, but I don't like what I'm seeing so far. The bulky design to the belt when it isn't needed throws me off, and as I've stated before the upgrades given to Fouze (so far) aren't that interesting or even work with the suit too well. Birth is using virtually the same system as Fouze, but the add-on power ups fit the suit so much better.
It hit me as I was typing this up too: The way the upgrades look (like the rocket fist or drill leg) look like toys you'd get that would come with a sheet of stickers. The type with indents where they are intended to go and if you don't bother putting them on, you get giant hunks of single-colored plastic essentially. Very lazy design to me, or Fouze's creator used bargain-bin stickers that fell off before he even transformed.

I'll save myself from repeating the opinions of those who posted before me, since I share their opinions. I'm a bit apprehensive about the new suit design, but I always am, but I always grow to love them, so...yeah, wait and see I suppose.
Instead, I'll say something new. Earlier today, a friend of mine e-mailed me a video with some audio of the Switches, and I'll say this much...Fourze sounds freaking cool if nothing else.
Includes Henshin, and a couple abilities. Sounds very...space-y. Kinda reminds me of Portal...
Quite a few new toy pictures seem to be out. I have to say, seeing his different forms besides the base form makes me like his base form slightly more. If only because it is the less ugly looking of the three forms. I really don't like the weapons either.
The sword is meant to look like one with the way they made the handle of it. I think we're getting occupation/service-themed forms this year. Astronaut base form, the fire/red form is a firefighter, the electric/yellow form seems to be based somewhat on construction. From what I've seen there is possibly two other forms for him so we'll probably see two other profession-based forms.

lets just hope no one proposes another "all riders" project here. fourze' overall appearance reminds me too much of the cone heads wrapped in a latex suit. i would probably just watch it just because most of my friends will too. = A= conformity.
If by fat you mean sickened by how bottom-of-the-barrel they are scraping to market as many toys as possible even if it doesn't fit the theme, then I'm over-weight. 3nodding
I'm pretty sure we might see something like an all-rider movie since this is another one of them anniversary year series. There will be some way of Momotaros showing up with Fourze too I bet, even if we don't get that sort of movie from this series.

ahh well~ lets just hope that belt thing isn't that awkward while in action. i only like fourze when he moves, dont like him when he's just standing/static. seriously~
Seeing him in action I like his style of fighting, though only the few seconds of fighting can't tell for sure how he will fight most the time in the show. It will be interesting to see that fighting method applied with some of the switches like the pogo-stick-leg
I can see them bringing denliner and the den-o cast to space. That is, if Fourze even takes place in space that much. Den-O was about a time traveling train and they rarely went beyond a few years into the past.
