Outside of Fulime Manor, a Minotaur has just attacked the NPC people for some unknown reason. Kill it for recognition of your skill!

An animal similar to an Ox, a Dog, and a man mixed together, runs away from the wall of Fulmine Manor. Apparently, it crawled over the wall and came in to cause destruction in it's search for food. It has already slain one person in the village, and it will not be given another oppertunity to. A Quest was been posted at the Main Hall for it's slaying.

As the Minotaur runs away from the wall, in the mid-day sun, it glares back to see if anyone is following it. The slouched figure of the Minotaur is fairly frightening. It's hairy body is bulging with muscles and sinews. It smiled, the square jaw home to rows of razor-sharp teeth. As it looked at the person following it, the beastly eyes stared into the eyes of it's attempted slayer.

Maybe it would run back to it's hole in the ground, or maybe it would fight? It all depended on what the person who wants the renown will do.

((If you are in this, you can not be in the Lost Caravan. This is for people not involved in that Mission ^_^;;

REMINDER: Any member can post a Quest... however, if it's stupid or if it's something no one is interested in, it may be deleted. I'd run it through OOC first and see if it's got an interest.

Since I am Captain, I didn't run it through OOC. I just wanted you to see how a QUEST looks...))

Golden silk threads dance to the winds reflect the light as if the man wearing it was giving off a fair deal of superfluous light himself. Shimmering about his form were in fact several glowing items that seemed to hug his form. About his head a light blue sheen can be seen, a material of some sort of clear crystal with a faceted appearance, sending tendrils of light blue down through his skin. A pair of heavy boots wrap around his feet with cerulean bands gripping his calves and reinforcing the toes of the boots. Two small cubes dance between his fingers, giving off a light of their own, flashing in and out of existance every few seconds. These two small opbjects seem to exude a feeling of good luck.

As Shar waits outside the main hall he leans against a quarterstaff of contained white light tht has a rather large ball of spikes on one end, which is planted into the ground allowing him to lean against it. He seems to converse without words to a flitting blue orb that encricles him, never stopping for a moment as it dances about his body. He lets out a sigh as he runs a hand through the violet strands of hair that contrast with his emerald eyes, a window to his soul shadowed with envy.

Soulmelds and Soulbinds

Feet Power Center: Thunderstep Boots-Bound
When Shar charges an opponent these boots unleash a terrible sonic attack, focusing oppon the opponent he is charging. Expending a point of Essentia greatly enhances the effect. When bound damage dealt stuns the opponent like a magnificent thunderclap.
Crown Power Center: Crystal Helm
This helm is formed from the soul, pure light in a pale blue form that enhances the mind and extends the body. This soulmeld enhances the mental fortitude of the wearer and refracts his form, letting him deflect attacks easier. Shar can use a point of Essentia to force himself out of the way of an attack or to nullify an attempt to manipulate his mind, if he is aware.
Hand Power Center: Luck Dice-Bound
These dice only appear when Shar flicks his wrist, but he is able to grant himself a bit of luck. Expending a point of Essentia extends the duration of his luck, and when bound the bonus applies to his allies as well. Any combination totalling a seven produces the desired results. ((Dice roll required. If successful, effects begin following post.))
Arm Power Center: Longmace-Bound
This is a fearsome weapon. In the hands of Shar`Addan this weapon seems to be a normal quarterstaff with a large spiked ball on one end, making it actually a very large morningstar. When he strikes with this weapon he can use an Essentia point to create a shockwave. When bound he can use an Essentia point to use the special ability, causing all the spiks to fly off and attack the opponent like twenty magically guided daggers.
Soul Power Center: Soulspark Familiar Variant
This...is Torment. This Soulmeld has no purpose in combat, but it cannot be unshaped. Binding is possible for Torment, but not for Shar. Neither Brother can have their souls drained while this Soulmeld is shaped, and they can give off light (blue or red/green) depending on wich one is flesh and which is a Soulmeld. Torment helps maintain concentration and dispel distractions, allowing Shar to focus on his opponent.


Other Active Abilities
Aside from the passive abilities mentioned for Torment that might apply, Shar`Addan has the following effects active:
Incarnum Defense:Shar can switch between four modes, in which his eyes glow momentarily a different color.
-Gold: Fear Immunity and Pain Resistance enhanced
-Green: Paralysis Immunity-Active.
-Crimson: Immune to Complete Exhaustion.
-Black: Immunity to effects that weaken him Strength wise.
Share Incarnum Defense: Three times per day Shar may extend the current effect to another for 5 posts. Must be delivered by touch, and only one ally at a time.
Smite Opposition:Five times per day Shar can channel the incarnum within him to deliver a devestating blow that can knock any bipedal foe down. If he misses, the use is wasted.

A secretary, specifically, the one who posted the Quest, ran out of the hall with great speed. She stopped suddenly, seeing the bright figure of Shar.

"Excuse me," She said, "Are you going to kill it?" 'It', of course, referring to the beast just outside the Manor walls. Almost as if scripted, the Minotaur let out a strange bellow like that of an ox and a wolf melded together in an unholy creation.

Shar didn't look to her, he only nodded, his voice coming with a regal accent and a condescending tone, "Why else would I be here, girl? I was under the impression I was going to have a meatshield or two to stand in the way and get eaten before I slay this monstrosity single handedly." He glanced to her, the emerald orbs he called eyes piercing her straight through, enough to unnerve the masses, "So? Who is coming with me to die for my glory?"

"Maybe you should try headbutting it, you both have the same thickness in skull." Fergus said, with a smirk. The Satyr leaned his back against the wall next to the door. He crossed his arms over his chest, already thinking about how they would fare against the minotaur. He shrugged it off. Comfort came from the idea of them winging it. Improvised, like jazz music and bad comedy. He turned his head toward the two people. "Nevertheless, I'll join you." He said with a sigh.

Shar chuckled, "So the meatshields have arrived! If theres nothing else, I say we screw standing here and get our hands dirty." He darted off towards the Minotaur at great speeds, the Longmace trailing along behind him for a few feet before dragging up in a wide arc to be slung over his back.

He wasn't wasting any time.

The Minotaur looked back at the man charging at him. It roared ferociously and charged him (Shar).

But then, it caught sight of the mace and retreated back to his hole. It ran like a scared baby for the hole, and actually made it there before the men could reach it. As it dove into the hole, it made a sound similar to a human laugh.

The hole was a long vertical tunnel into the green earth. It couldn't normally be seen until a few feet from it. It almost looked as if the Minotaur was jumping into the grass. As it fell, it almost seemed to beckon the people to follow it into it's lair, which was completely darkened.

Fergus followed after. His large quadreceps carried him quickly, arriving shortly after the other man had. He sniffed the air. It was pungant with the rank odor of the minotaur. He approached the hole slowly and stood at the edge of it. "Interesting..." He rubbed his chin for a moment. "You might want to plug your ears." He looked over at the other man before he started singing the words to a spell. In a few moments, he leaned over the edge of the whole and let out an extremely loud war cry. It echoed off the walls of the cave, amplified by both his magic and the echoes. It would deafen the minotaur and hopefully, draw it out.

While the war cry did enter into the hole, the Minotaur did not come out. The echo that did come out, however, gave the impression that the hole was very large underneath. The stench of decay and rotting flesh also was pungent in the air inside the hole. It was as if the minotaur carried its kills into the lair and devoured them there.

"Damn..." Fergus muttered. At best, he made its ears ring. He stood up, looking across at the other man already anticipating some snide remark. "Looks like we'll be doing it the traditional way." Fergus drew his falchion, sliding his finger sideways against the edge to make sure it was still sharp. He then hummed a note and the blade glowed brightly with a magical light.

From inside the hole, an echo of a roar bounded out. The beast was alive, that was for sure, and it was waiting for them to come in. It would consistently run back into it's hole, so the time to kill it had to be now.

((If the Dice Roll equals a 7 then an Essentia Point may be used to extend the duration, giving a luck bonus to dodging attacks. If it is not a 7 then no Essentia Point will be used. Duration if successful: 3 posts))

Shar looked inside, then back to the others, "I'll take point, just follow behind me and keep your eyes open." Holding the Longmace at one side at the center of the staff with the spiked ball pointed downwards and trailing behind him, he entered, a flick of his his wrist sending two cubes of light ahead of him to not only provide a slight bit of light to add to what he was wearing, but to activate the ability of the the Lucky Dice soulmeld.

The hole was deep, marks of claw and parts to hold on to covered the walls of the hole. The ground, once lit up, will reveal a man-made structure of some kind. Obviously, they entered from above, but there must have been a secondary exit/entrance. The wall had writing on it, probably greek. It read: "Λαβύρινθος του [Broken Piece] Το κέντρο είναι δικαίωμα πηγών είναι έξοδος".

The odd thing was, there were two halls btoh forward and back, and both had forks. The roaring of the minotaur could be heard coming from the back, and the writing had an arrow that said "πηγή" and pointed in the sounds direction. The halls were poorly lit, except for the luminescence of the people who just entered it. Remains of various creatures led the way towards the direction the arrow pointed.
