Plains to the north. Plains to the south. Plains to the west. Aaaand - ah, look, the beginnings of the forest to the east! So Bernard guessed he was somewhere in the northern reaches of the . . . Gods, what was it called? Something with an A. "Aawi . . . Aawo . . Oh confound it."

So he knew where he was, just not exactly where. Fantastic.

Bernard at least knew the river was up in the north, and right now he was berating himself for not continuing to follow its carved path. "Go out adventuring!" he thought. "See new sights!"

Yes, like the pounding sun overhead. Sighing, the large warhorse scuffled his way back to the safety of the trees, licking his dry lips. Perhaps there was another source of water in the forest? there had to be, otherwise all these trees couldn't be alive . . .
