Background Story: Soren lived his whole life training to be a soldier and protect his home. At the age of eighteen, his dream came true when he was admitted into his towns defense unit. As a gift, his father granted him their family sword as a token of his pride in his son. Soon after that, Soren and a few other soldiers were sent to fight in a small war that had been taking place for a few years. Three years, Soren spent on the front lines fighting to protect his home and upon his dismissal due to the wars end, Soren found himself in great shock to find that his home was no longer there to return to. Since Soren and some of the best guards had been sent to fight in the war, neighboring villages decided to take advantage of the towns lack in defense and easily overthrew it, killing most if not all it's inhabitants. Since this discovery, Soren was a gloomy fellow. Day in and day out he would just mope around his new home. After a weeks, Soren met a young woman who although new to it, seemed to be quite the experienced performer. Something about her fascinated him, so day after day he went and watched her perform. Then one day, She didn't show up. Her many fans were disappointed, but none more than Soren himself. After the rest of the fans left, Soren decided to stay behind clinging to the one thing that brought him joy. As Soren began inspecting the stage, he was met by a mysterious figure asking what he was doing. When Soren turned around to see who was speaking to him, to his surprise he saw none other than the young performer. She could tell by his face that Soren had been through alot and decided she would help, but first she needed to know what happened. After Soren explained the whole story to her the woman decided to help him in his time of crisis. She convinced him to spend his time training to be more cheerful and energetic, and in doing so convinced him to try performing. Soren disliked the idea of working infront of groups of people, but jumped at a chance to be close to this woman. Soren's first attempt in performing...failed...miserably, but he persisted as long as the woman showed faith in him. After months of practicing and being close to this woman, Soren's attitude became more cheery and up beat. His performing skills were quickly becoming obvious, he had even been able to start doing his own shows. Then one night after a show, the woman came up to Soren and gave him her most prized possession, her "bag of tricks". Soren was puzzled as to why she would give him such a valuable gift. The woman said that she wanted to guarantee that no matter what she would be there supporting him. Then the next day, she passed away. Soren was grief stricken and heart broken, but as he sat around weeping his attention was brought to the bag he was given the day prior. Inside was a picture of the woman and a letter asking him to forgive her for not telling him about her illness and to try to cheer up and spread the cheer that she had given to him to the many others of the world. Soren was depressed at first, but after the pride in the woman's faith in him quickly changed that. Soren spent a few more days performing in town before leaving to embark on a journey to explore the world.
