Ever since Prom Mitsu had questions circling around her mind that had never been answer. Lizzy had started to ask her something back then, if she got these strange feelings around a particular person. Mitsu had been about to answer but had been suddenly whisked away to the dance floor before she could utter a name.
The two never really had a chance to get back in touch with each other after that point and even a couple of days later were busy with school and so on. It was when Mitsu finally had some free time that she found herself heading toward the demon dorms, hoping to finally ask Lizzy about this strange feeling. If she wasn't sick then what was it?

It was lucky for Mitsu that Lizzy was just heading out, since the ghoul didn't exactly warn her that she was coming over. Skipping down the stairs two at a time, she almost tripped and fell off the last few steps when she saw the familiar ghoul at the demon dorms; it wasn't a bad sort of surprise, however, evident from the grin on her face.
"Mitsu!" She hurried over, wrapping the ghoul in a quick hug before taking a step back, tilting her head, "What're you doing here? Not lost, I hope!" She giggled softly, an amused smile on her lips; yes, she was just teasing.

Not lost? Maybe a little, though not in the same sense that she normally was. Lizzy had a little insight on how directionally challenged the lupine could be at times.
"N..no...I was hoping to catch you....S..sorry I didn't call." It hadn't crossed her mind that she could get to Lizzy's dorm and the girl wouldn't be there. Then what would she have done? "I..I hope I'm not interrupting something....I...I can always come back if you are heading out somewhere." Mitsu sounded nervous, the tone of her voice was dripping with it.

"Oh, don't worry about it~" She giggled, taking the ghoul's hand gently in her own and leading her to the Demon common room located nearby; it was usually empty, a good place for a one-on-one chat when she didn't feel like using her room... And it seemed like Mitsu was here for a chat, so who was she to deny her of one?
"So, what brings you here this lovely evening?" She giggled as she entered the highly decorated common room, sitting down on one of the couches inside before patting the space next to her with a smile, inviting Mitsu to sit down.

As Lizzy took her hand Mitsu gave it a nervous squeeze following the spider demon back inside the dorm to the common area. When Lizzy sat down and patted the seat beside her Mitsu lapsed into place, though she seemed rather stiff in doing so.
"I...I was going to ask you...about the other night at Prom. Y...you were going to explain something..I think." She was fumbling with her words at this point. "About that weird feeling I was having."

"The other night at Prom..." She echoed before her eyes widened, "Ah! I remember!" She eyed Mitsu before smiling, her expression softening as she patted the back of her hand, "You were going to answer my question when Charlie dragged you away... So, is there anyone in particular you feel that way around?"
She knew the answer though. Unlike her and Mot, Mitsu stuck with just one partner through prom... Which might be due to her shyness, but because of that, Lizzy was pretty sure that Mitsu had not bonded as well with another boil in the time she had spent in school.
"Could it be Shun by any chance?" She tilted her head, trying not to smile too much... In case it creeps the ghoul out.

Oh good...Lizzy remembered. Mitsu wouldn't have to recount the story then to remind her. Though when Lizzy asked her the same question that Mitsu hadn't gotten a chance to answer before the wolf girl faltered. "I...I suppose."
She wasn't able to get the name out again though because this time Lizzy said it first. Mitsu could feel her face heating up, the blush creeping its way down her neck to where it was visible. "I...I think so?" But she sounded so confused about it. The lupine had never had friends before, was this how one felt around people normally when they were close? "What...does it mean?" She asked cautiously. "I'm not sick, right?"

She reached out to pat Mitsu on her head before remembering something she had seen during prom; she was considerably calmer after Riley rubbed her ears, right? Lizzy even got her to eat a sausage (bad memories, bad bad memories) in that state... With that thought in mind, she reached for the ghoul's ears, gently rubbing it like she would with a minipet, just to test her theory.
Besides, she needed to calm Mitsu down.
"Oh, don't worry," She giggled, "You're not sick at all... You just have a crush on Shun, that's all." She paused momentarily, waiting for the ghoul to take in the information before continuing, "Basically, you want to be more than just his friend, although... Speaking from personal experiences, sometimes, a crush will fade away with time. It's not 'love'... It's more like an attraction towards someone..."
She wasn't sure how to explain it further. Instead, she just smiled, waiting for a response from her friend.

Mitsu's ears flattened down a bit as Lizzy started to pat her head waiting for an answer that would make this all come together in her mind. She waited..and waited and suddenly there was the feel of fingers touching her ear. Instantly her mind almost shut down. "W..what a....are......mmmm" There was a happy whimper as she couldn't resist leaning into the touch. Her body seemed to relax as she slouched into the couch, her mind buzzing with good feelings.
Her free ear gave a twitch listening to what Lizzy had to say trying to process that in the cloud of happy she was feeling at the moment. "Crush?" She sounded dazed almost. Mitsu supposed what Lizzy said made sense, she didn't quite feel the same around the spider demon though she liked her. "What am I supposed to do?" Mitsu asked in an airy manner. "I've not felt this way before."

OH IT WORKED!
Lizzy couldn't resist giggling at the sight, her hand still gently stroking the ghoul's ear; she still wanted Mitsu 'sober' though, and left her other ear alone... As much as she was tempted to see what would happen if she were to scratch both ears.
"Yes, a crush," She repeated herself with a smile, her expression softening, "As for what you're supposed to do... Well, I'm not the best person to ask, really!" She chuckled softly, shaking her head, "The last time I tried to tell my crush how I felt, it didn't happen... I was too nervous. Anyway, it... Didn't work out, and I still have him as a good friend."
She paused, looking away for a while before turning back to Mitsu, "Continue to be his friend. Be there for him... For someone who doesn't seem to believe in friends, he's awfully soft towards you. He's just a grumpy non believer... Of friends." She chuckled softly, "It's too early to tell where these feelings will lead, so... For now, just be his friend."

Mitsu's much calmer state allowed her to process the information a little better. Or at least at the moment. She was on the border of being derpy. But if Lizzy had been nervous trying to tell her crush how she felt....certainly Mitsu would be worse. The lupine already stumbled over her own words enough as it was.
The solution Lizzy offered seemed like an easy one though. Continue to be his friend. Mitsu could do that. Though Mitsu had to wonder if Shun would ever feel the same way about her. There was a slight...okay a large doubt in her mind, there wasn't anything very special about her. He could probably find someone much better....so for now she would do as Lizzy said and keep these feelings locked away. Keep them a secret and continue to be his friend.
"Do you think you'll ever try again to tell your crush how you feel?" Mitsu was curious to know, did you only really get one chance at it? Was it a sink or swim kind of situation.

She stopped rubbing Mitsu's ears momentarily, offering the ghoul a sheepish smile, "Ah... I sort of did. His response was a little disappointing. Then again, he's an oblivious sort of boil~" She giggled before continuing with the ear rubs, "But I didn't feel that way towards him by the time I told him, so... I wasn't as nervous." Or flustered. Or derpy. Or clingy.
"When you feel like you know him enough, you should summon your courage and try to tell him," She smiled, "You've only known Shun for... A month or so? Give it some time... If you still feel this way about him after a few more months, then maybe it's not just some sort of infatuation."

"Oh...." Was all Mitsu could manage. So it was possible this feeling would fade? The pause in ear scratchings gave Mitsu enough time to collect herself and try to sit up a little though as soon as Lizzy continued she went limp against the couch again. Why was it that ear scratchings made her so weak in the knees?
"Yeah...I haven't known him long." It hadn't been that long ago that they had met and he had helped her out of the tree. Still though, she was comfortable with him. "I..I'll keep that in mind." Mitsu nodded trying to push back that odd feeling of dread. If this feeling continued....she should try to tell him....how would she tell him? At least she had a while to think about it.
"Thank you for the advice, Lizzy. I appreciate it." Mitsu was completely clueless otherwise. This information was helpful at least. It gave her something to think about in the meantime.

She smiled, giving Mitsu one last ear scratch before moving her hand to pat her on her head, "Don't stress over it... I'm sure you'll meet more friends in school, so who knows? Feelings might change, after all." She smiled, taking her hand back before standing up, "You're very welcome... I'm happy you trust me enough to come to me for advice!"
She then giggled, tilting her head as she extended out a hand for Mitsu to take, "Now, shall I walk you out of here?"

Mitsu wasn't really stressing over much at the moment. She was as cool as a cucumber. The ear scratchings had done wonders to calm her down and put her in a nice mellow state. When the attention to her ears finally ended Mitsu was able to regain a sense of mobility pushing herself up into a sitting position.
"O..of course I trust you. You were one of the first friends I've ever had." Mitsu said softly.
Standing up alongside Lizzy, Mitsu gave a slight nod. "Yeah, I guess so. I hope I didn't hold you up on anything."
