She was absolutely positive she was going insane. There was no other answer for the constant annoyance that was Princess. Princess was even better than whatever other nickname she'd ended up giving him in the beginning... oh right. Prince. But princess seemed much more suited for the lumbering oaf, and she wasn't embarrassed to tease him with it. She was almost actually happy to hunt whenever he asked just to get the hell away from him for a few hours.

It wouldn't be long now before they got to the mountains, because she could see them far on the horizon. They looked so small and she was a little surprised by that. She knew she had to put the distance into consideration but... well she'd never been to the mountains before.

She'd fallen a bit behind the starry male, letting him lead for a while. Her nostrils flared and she frowned, looking around slowly. She stopped for a moment and inhaled deeper, nodding to herself. She picked up her pace so she could get closer to Princess. "Company." She stated, and nothing else. She hadn't yet spotted whoever the company, but she could smell them.

Ammon’nen wanted to refrain by asking “Are we there yet?” mainly because he was the one guiding the Kitten to her land of sand. A brief grin flashed across the lion’s maw as he thought just how much that phrase rhymed. It amused him greatly. “Kiiiittteeeen I’m hungry!” he called back to the gal who still refused to give him her name, so he continued with her nickname. “We---You should hunt before we reach the mountains! There won’t be much prey once we travel through them.” He quickly corrected himself on the we-you hunting business. He traveled when she wanted to, she hunted when he wanted to.

Company? His nose raised to the air, tasting it. Oh goody! “See, told you these lands were filled with horrible lions. You should have been more careful!” He didn’t know if the newcomer would be friendly or not, but he blamed the female scent for most likely attracting said creature.

Tropiki had been watching them from a distance, mostly entranced by the male lions' coat. It was so feminine. He was allowing his mind to wander, and it wandered to whether or not his mother got his gender mixed up at birth. Something that pretty shouldn't be a male, at least in his eyes. It was a sad state of affairs, for him anyway. If the male had been a lioness, he'd have swooned that as quickly as possibly, but since he wasn't a gay lion... no dice.

His ears flicked pleasantly when he heard the female of the pair tell the other, feminine looking one that they had company. He smiled, "My cue."

Coming out from his hiding space, Tropiki gingerly made his way towards the traveling pair with a coy grin plastered about his face. He was cautious, not knowing if the two were hostile, and although he could take a two-on-one battle he didn't quite feel like it.

"Greetings strangers!" He called up, taking a deep breath and projecting his cheery self as per-usual. "You seem lost! Do you need help?"

She bared her teeth at him, mumbled and then shifted a few steps away from him. Not that she'd been all that close in the first place, only just enough to let him know about the company. And obviously it had been a mistake, like everything was lately. "Ugh, go rot in a hole." She barked back, lightly because suddenly appearing to them was a very brightly coated male. Aagiro could not help herself; she stared. She'd yet to run into any sort of lion that varied very much from either very dark pelts like her own or sandy and gold pelts of the pridelanders. Princess had been a surprise in himself, his fur speckled with little bits of white here and there that seemed to glow. It was like the night sky and the night sky alone reflected from his fur.

but princess was an arseface, so she didn't get many chances to look him over and wonder about his pelt. This stranger? His fur was bright and warm looking, and could almost pass for something of a typical pridelander color... but that mane! It contrasted greatly with the fur and Aagiro found that it was not entirely unpleasing. In fact, she thought she might like how this stranger looked. Aagiro through a sideways glance at her traveling partner as the stranger asked if they were lost and she smirked in that playful way that hinted she was about to try and piss Nen off.

"Well hello there ser." She purred out in a friendly tone, one that she'd never given to Nen. "Well despite the great rocks staring at us from the horizon I fear my traveling guide so silly that he may have brought us in the wrong direction." Her grin only increased as her words carried on, not at all a lioness who really thought they were lost. "Tell me, do you know of the great sands that lay beyond those mountains? Have you been to them?" She'd slowed down and then stopped entirely when the stranger got close enough, though her gaze had floated over his build and his expression long after her interest in his looks had dwindled. Hopefully this wasn't some sly b*****d about to attack them.

As the brightly colored lion neared the traveling couple, Ammon’nen couldn’t help but squint at the male’s vivid pelt. Never in his life had he seen another with such vibrant colors. He had figured they would have to exist though. If he was blessed with the camouflage of the night sky, surely any kind of pattern could be real. He gave a brief nod in greeting, a small smile just inching its way up to his maw. It was replaced rather quickly at the stranger’s following question.

“No, we aren’t lost,” He glared at Kitten. “You---hush up, we are not lost! We are traveling just past those mountains to the desert in the North. Kitten here does not know where she is going,” he retained the portion that she was a female, and female’s were never good with direction anyways. Turning back towards the male, he continued, “therefore she really cannot say if we are heading in a right direction or not.”

He turned his attention to the female quickly. “Remember our little deal? There was no clause that if someone else would lead us to your desert, I still would lose. I just said I would get you there, didn’t mean I couldn’t ask for help.” Smirk.

"The sands are far norther than those mountains," Tropiki chimed in as the two bickered between each other, not actually knowing what he was talking about, but deciding he would act as if he did. The two seemed funny together, and it was apparent they were not lovers. They seemed like they'd be fun to play games with.

"I have seen them several a time," He said melodically, giving Aagiro the most charming of smiles before turning his attention to the star-stricken male a little ahead of her, "Are you sure you know where you're going? Male arrogance leads to foolishness."

He decided to side with the lady in this game, as the idea of the male thinking he may be wrong might be a more fun tactic than pitting himself against the obviously disgruntled lady.

He turned his attention back to Aagiro and bowed his head slightly, "Tropiki'baa is my name. It's a pleasure to meet you."

It was true, even if they did ask for help he would still win the bet if they made it to her destination. She pulled a face at him, wishing he'd shut up. "Well if you're dead you certainly can't get me there, right?" Her words were annoyed but cheerful, mocking. She glanced to the brightly colored lion and when he spoke Aagiro found herself snorting, sticking her tongue out at Nen. "That's right Princess, you don't want to look foolish now do you?" Bah, as if he didn't already!

Still, she wasn't sure she liked the smiles this Tropiki was giving her, even if he was on her side. Eh, she supposed she could deal the them. She grinned back at him. "Tropiki huh? Likewise. Are you a traveler as well? You seem to know a bit about this area." She was just trying to make Nen think that she thought he didn't. Really she wished that was the case, she was not having his damn cubs.

The sands weren’t that far north of the mountain. Nen narrowed his eyes, seeing just what he was doing. This lion appeared to be trying to flirt with Aagiro! Well, why should he care! He had just met the lioness the other day so…let him! But Tropiki-whatever his name was did not have to play him out as the dumb lion. He knew where he was going! He was sure of it. (…Maybe…)

“Yes. I am sure I know where I am going,” he scoffed at the colorful male. “Are you sure you are aware of the correct lands she speaks of?” If Ammon’nen was a person, he would be in an irritated stance, arms crossed. Since he was of no such being, he just shifted on all four paws. They could go now. They didn’t need to hear anymore from him!

“You’re the one who was foolish, Kitten, to agree to the bet.” He sneered quietly, obviously not in a very good mood. When Tropiki'baa didn’t offer his name to Nen, he just ignored the gesture entirely. He would not speak his name either – so be it.
