Humusi batted away the large rock, slightly bigger than his paw, with said paw. He declared it unworthy to protect his lands, and therefore it deserved to be exiled! "Never again shall your hide grace these plains, ser." He chirped, then chuckled before he stretched out in the grass and rolled to his back. Great fiery stars he was bored! He stretched out his limbs and yawned, tail tip curling idly around his left forepaw. He rested his front paws on his lower chest, gaze at first watching the sky for a while and then shifted to the grass cushioning his head.
It looked very interesting upside down, though it made him a little dizzy. After a while his gaze climbed back toward the heavens and he grinned lazily when he saw a butterfly fluttering past. He stuck a paw out to lazily bat at it, though he took care to miss it on purpose. "Oi, lookit you just spending yer time floatin' about." He envied butterflies... and birds! Birds were amazingly lucky being able to sore over the lands like they did.

Yaken had been wandering around for quite some time now. She was looking for fun-- adventure! Alas, none was to be found. It was just another slow day in the Pridelands. Wait, Pridelands? Yaken raised her head up and sniffed the air. Woops, looks like she had wandered a bit too far out. She supposed that it didn't really matter, though.. in fact, this could be an opportunity! Her boredom could come to a stop.
A toothy grin crept across her face, mischief on her mind. Her tail swished back and forth excitedly thinking of all the things she could do. But she couldn't do any of those things yet. She needed someone to play with, after all.
Ken no longer dragged her paws as she walked, but all most trotted about, invigorated with the thought of fun. She bobbed her head, humming as she went along. Her spirits were high and life was good. A sudden pause in her gait and she sniffed at the air again. Her ears swiveled about, listening. Another lion was near by! Oh boy, this was her chance.
Following the scent she could see a male lion in the distance staring up at the sky. Curious. Ken went low to the ground and stalked along the grass. She was on the hunt-- for fun!

He chuckled softly as the butterfly fluttered off and let his hand drop back to his chest. "Al'righ, goodbye." He called cheerfully after the bug. His bright green eyes returned to the sky before his eyelids drooped slightly and he yawned yet again. Sometimes life was lazy and boring, though he much rather it was always exciting and new. He stretched out his paws once more before he rolled to his side and then clambered to all four paws, stretching his back out. His tail flicked and he stood for a moment, trying to think up a game. He had not noticed the new arrival of company, nor would he because she was down wind and skillful at stalking.
He began to come, starting to move slowly from the area. "Hi! says the little leather winged bat~" He mumbled, half singing the words and half speaking them. Ah, perhaps he could go bat 'hunting' this night? Or maybe the glow-bugs would be out and about... those were always stunning. "I will tell you the reason that, the reason that I fly in the night~" He grinned, suddenly picking up his pace because there was a few rocks ahead. He jumped onto one, then got down low to it's surface as if he too was stalking something. "Is because I lost my heart's delight." The last bit he sung very lowly, barely a whisper.
His gaze was now on some zebra ahead and it was making him slightly dizzy.

Bah, he was moving! Yaken slinked along carefully, eyeing the other lion. And he was... singing? Her ears swiveled forward and twitched, trying to listen to what he was saying as she stalked him. Yaken sadly could not make out the words and just barely the tune. That was sort of disappointing.
But there he was, hopping up some rocks now. It seemed as if he was getting into more of a pouncing position himself. What a curious guy. And opportunities come to those who wait. Patience was key-- or, she heard that one time. It sounded pretty accurate and cool and mature. He was not paying attention to his rear, and this was the perfect time to strike.
Getting ever closer, Yaken crept to the rocks below him. He left one thing vulnerable (one of his most valuable things), his tail. A devious look spread across her face. Life was just too perfect sometimes. A great yell, "RRRAAH!" and she took her forepaws and smacked down on his mighty tail. That'd get him.

He really should stop trying to watch the group of zebras, they were very confusing. He thought perhaps they did in in purpose, all standing sort of side-by-side but not really... and was that one looking smug? Yes. Humusi thought that it wa-"Aaargh!" Waaaarg? What? His eyes had widened and his ears had went flat into his skull, though mostly they just said against his thick, dark mane.
He'd jumped a good height into the air when he felt something get his tail and he was sure he would have been off the rock if it wasn't for the fact that they still had his tail. He prayed it was one of the cubs of the pride and not something that wanted to eat him. Not that he'd ever encountered something that wanted to devour a full grown lion. Well, that could devour a full grown lion. Anyways the momentum of jumping and turning and his surprise all seemed to get him tangled because somehow he managed to land on his back, paws in the air and head lifted to try and scope out his 'attacker'. Oh. Oh! It was a full grown lioness. He cleared his throat because he thought maybe what he'd just done had looked a little ridiculous and there for he was a little embarrassed; males should always look good for females.
"Er... hi...? Can I help you?" Oh! He had wanted to sound cool and suave and all... adult like or something. And he just ended up sounding... so adolescentie! Feeling awkward he grinned at the end of his question, but it was not a very natural grin.
