Weapons. This was turning more and more into a video game and less and less like actual real life. Tikaani couldn't believe that they were going to actually get their weapons in a cave-err-cove of all places. Next thing she knew there would be an elderly man in robes telling her to go save the world or something- oh wait- thats what she was here to do any ways.
Tika took the time to lurk out the cove for a moment before she began her decent down the stairs. Each step echoed louder then the next it seemed. Were her nerves on the edge? Was she losing her head? No but if she were to see that robed man figure at the end of these stairs Tika swore she'd flip a god damn table. Not just one table either. Many. Many tables.
But when she hit the base level, there was no robed man. Tika found her self a little disappointed but didn't dwell on such silliness. Instead she oogled the smallish room with its single torch providing only a small bit of light. The rest of the room was a total mystery. For all she knew this room could have been a death trap of some kind. Why would they want to kill their prospects though? It didn't seem to make any sense. Tika took a few more steps forward in to the darkness.
Huuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
The room seemed to be alive with humming. It was strange and inhuman and just seemed a little eerie. The humming was nothing like that of a refrigerator or other appliances either. Eerie was the best Tika could think to describe such a sound. Maybe it was some sort of machine she'd just walked in to or something?
That was when the teen noticed the runes all over the place. She hadn't noticed them before but there they were. All of them were very strange looking and like nothing Tika had seen in a text book. She's seen runes in video games but these were stranger and different some how.
"This really is a video game.." She scratched her head and eyed the walls.
HUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
The humming sound was getting louder and louder by the second now. Almost ear splitting! Tikaani grabbed her ears and silently screamed in to the darkness of the room. The humming stopped that instance and was replaced with an even more eerie silence. Some how Tikaani had ended up on her knees. Weird.
"W..was that just all in my head? Heh... This place.."
All in your head?
Tikaani froze. Okay now she was hearing voices. Were there speakers hidden in this room? It seemed to be coming from that rune over there. Tika got up and headed over there to get a closer look. The glow of the rune got brighter and brighter with every step she took til it was the only rune she could really see. Tika didn't know what she was doing with her out stretched hand. Her body seemed to move on its own. With one powerful pull she retrieved two blades from the wall.
"... Is this a trick? I swear I heard a voice..." But she could see no speakers.
My dear. How rude of you to not properly introduce your self. Do you not have any manners? Hmph. Typical I'd get stuck with a putz like you.
The weapon had just talked? This was the part Tika would throw the weapons and run. But she didn't, something kept her glued there much to her discomfort.
".... W-what...?! Im not rude! I don't even know... What the ********!? Is this some joke?" She began to inspect the blades for speakers which only got a laugh.
Not very bright are you? And...ewww... when was the last time you washed your hands!? How dare you handle me with such homely unclean hands? Commoner... Sheesh.
Okay now Tika wanted to throw these weapons not because she was scared of them as much as they were now an annoyance. Commoner?
"HOW RUDE! I'll have you know I'm Tikaani Frost and your my weapon I take it. Shut up and listen to what I have to say you tool." This got another laugh. More bitter then the last.
Oh why now Princess Im so sorry. My names Pikatti and I am your bladed Tonfas.
The tone had been sarcastic and arrogant. Tika almost through the blades to the ground right there but she didn't. Something felt right about holding them. Instead she headed out the cove while ignoring Pikattis pleas for her to wash her hands. It had been a VERY long walk back to her room.
