In the ruins, monsters now lurk about. Charlies, mostly. But one may also see a earth golem occasionally.
The earth golems were living souls trapped in a stone body meant to guard wherever they were created in. Inside the body of a golem, is a 'soul gem'. Soul Gems can often cause the person holding it to go insane for as long as they hold it or are in possession of it. A biochemist can use it as well.
