"INCOMING!!!" yelled one of the squad-mates. All 8 men ducked for cover in their trench which was at the foot hold of a collapsed building. Mortar fire filled the air as shrapnel tore across the dirt and rattled the armor and helmets of the soldiers in the trench. "You have got to be kidding me! They have artillery too?" yelled Tares as he fired several rounds up the hill towards the enemy position pegging one in the face.
"Quit Cho whinin soldier! We got a job to do! Rios, man the .50 and give us some cover fire. Toji and the rest of ya sorry bags of s**t, follow me!" Hollered Sgt. Johnson.
"You got it Sarge!" Toji answered as he instinctively reload his assault rifle before leaping out the trench to follow his Sergeant up the hill. Bullets zoomed through the sky around his head and he scrambled up the dirt and clawed at the rumble trying to make it up the hill. Dirt flew and bullets bounced and penetrated all around him and his fellow soldiers. Their objective was the top of this hill, it was the only place with the lowest amount of enemy troops and the only place where his squad could place the beacon to call in the invasion of drop-ships. The .50 machine gun pounded shells above his head towards the enemy position, giving Toji some cover fire as he crawled up the hill, Sergeant Johnson leading the way, and the rest of the squad was following. Finally Rios reached a piece o ruble big enough to hide behind for a couple seconds to catch his breath. Just as he did so, a stream of bullets tore down the hill and rip through the helmets of two men right behind him killing them instantly. "Son of a Biscuit!" They had to take this hill, the HAD too! Sarge also found some cover and was popping a stream of bullets back at the enemy. Toji had to make it to the top of the hill, he was the one with the beacon, All of the sudden there seemed to be a slight let down from enemy fire, as Toji could hear the clicking of the enemy reloading, he could hear their hearts beating, and their labored lungs breathing heavily, he could also hear the screams of the rest of the men as a mortar crashed right down on top of them, leaving nothing left but pieces. Only Sarge, Toji, and their Machine gunner Rios remained, and they were only half way up the hill. There was so much smell and dust of gunpowder and laser burns in the air that it was giving Rios a headache that it made him puke. They had to take this hill and fast, before they lost anyone else. "Hurry up Toji! We dont have all day!" Yelled Johnson, as he squeezed a few more rounds down range nailing a enemy troop who stuck his head out above the trench.
All of the sudden Toji could hear dozens of clicks. Could it be the enemy reloading? No, that sounded heavier, this sounded as if they were clicking something onto metal tubes to make them longer. Thats when a thunderous roar erupted from the top of the hill, "For the EMPIRE!!!" They enemy wasn't reloading! They were fixing bayonets on their rifle! The Enemy were planning on charging down the hill! With only Sarge, Tares, and Toji, there was no way they could defend against that! It was too late now as three dozen enemy troops poured over their trenched firing their assault rifles and lasers down upon what was left of the squad. Toji once again ducked deeper behind his ever shrinking cover as he saw Tares with the .50 down at the bottom of the hill still firing and mowing down ten of their men before being shot in the chest and summersaulting backwards and landing on his back, yet the man was still alive as he pulled his side arm and began firing. The Sergeant let out a battle cry of his own as the enemy swarmed down the hill, he continued spraying bullets into the enemy as one by one they fell until they finally reached his cover. Sergeant Johnson then dropped his empty rifle and he too drew his side arm shooting one trooper in the face as he took a bullet in the arm. Another enemy trooper tried to gore the Sarge with his bayonet but Sarge blocked it by putting his hand up and allowing the long blade to puncture his hand all of the way down to the muzzle of the rifle. But the Sarge still stood and shot this enemy too in the face. His victory didn't last long as there were still over a dozen enemy men left, and they stabbed him continually. Toji didn't know what to do. He saw his comrades fall one by one and now he is the only one left. He was seeing them continually stab Johnson over and over again, until something snapped with in Riem. As they continued to stab his sergeant, rage began to build within him. The more they stabbed and shot him, the more blinded and furious Riem became. Heat surged through his body as he felt his muscles instantly rip and enlarge. Dark fur poured across his body and fangs jutted out from his canines! The transformation was almost instant, but not complete before Toji leapt a longer distance than a normal man should have. When he landed, he did so on top of two enemy troopers breaking their backs. Riem swung once and clawed the face completely off of another trooper and blood gurgled in what was left of the mans throat. Riem turned and bitched slapped the next trooper so hard that her next snapped. Upon seeing this horror the rest of the enemy troopers screamed and ran back into the trench from which they poured from. Only to be met by the werewolf starring them right in the face. Screams were the only thing left. Screaming, and beeping... as the beacon was placed.
