Once again, Msiba was out on the prowl. There were many things the pale lion prowled for: food, minions, ladies. The last of the three being the one that he seemed most in search for. Food could come later, minions would come flocking, but females seemed slightly more elusive.

Of course, now that his daughter had grown and become capable of both travelling and partaking in their plans, Msiba and his sister Mchawi had returned their focus to marking their place in history. He was convinced that the pair of them were destined for something, something greater and better than anything else in the savanna. The only trouble was finding the right path toward it.

And always, revenge simmered at the back of his mind. Revenge against his childhood pride for the innumerable grievances it had inflicted upon himself and his siblings, revenge against the Aka'mleli for the death of his brother... There was no letting go of that, only a temporary unawareness of it. He could not, would not let them go unpunished.

But today was not a day for such things. Today was Msiba's day off.

Natinitrapa had wondered away from her new travel companion she had become to grow fond of. Of course, everyone needed their time alone, and today was that time. She enjoyed his company just as much as she enjoyed being alone. Which was quite a lot. She flicked her tail as she moved through the land carefully. She had almost forgot about the past that she had been running from. A past that kept her from settling down with anyone. Though, that was slowly changing. Her mind flickered back and forth from the land in front of her and Urza.

Not paying attention, she didn't notice at all the pale green lion in the area. She was smiling stupidly without realizing it. Of course, she didn't care if anyone saw her. She wasn't much for caring what other's thought about her actions. Seeing a rock, she pawed at it hard enough that it skipped a few times across the ground. Making one loud thump noise as it landed on another rock, then a few silent ones as it tumbled upon the dirt beyond the other rock.

Msiba glanced up and lo and behold, there was a lioness. He would have to conceal his surprise at his good fortune until later. Sitting and waiting silently for several moments, he watched as she wandered seemingly unalertly across the land. That lack of watchfulness made her more vulnerable to attack, and for a moment, the killer instinct that had driven him once before threatened to surface.

But he restrained himself. What good would that do either of them? And though Msiba was not usually one to consider the well-being of others, it seemed necessary in that moment to invoke the fates of two, rather than just one living creature. Besides, the day would come when he would no longer have to answer for his actions, and when it came, he would make good use of it.

The rock she had kicked tumbled to a stop several lengths from his paws. Msiba glanced down, considering it for a moment. Whatever. Lifting his head again, he made his way toward the dark lioness, closing the gap between them. "You certainly look happy," he said, spotting the smile on her face. "If you don't mind me saying."

A voice filled her ears soon after the clinking of the rock subsided. She looked up from the ground and had noticed the pale green male. It was very hard not to. He seemed to stick out like a sore thumb. "Oh! I'm sorry... I... I didn't see you there" She had surprised herself on how careless she had been. Which was one of the few times in her life that she had been. She had to be careful, but sometimes she couldn't help it. Like today. She smiled at the male.

He seemed rather charming, and his mane was so fluffy compared to others. "I suppose I am a bit happy" She said with a sweet smile upon her face. "I do apologize, I am Natintrapa." He seemed nice enough that she didn't have to worry about offering her name up to him. She didn't want to go into why she was happy, at least not at the moment. It wasn't really something she could fully explain anyways.

"Pleased to meet you, Natintrapa. My name is Msiba," he offered in return, regarding the kind smile that had settled upon her face. Ah, lionesses. Most of them seemed to have a knack for making him feel... at the very least, content. And he was certainly content now. There was something about simply being in their presence that made everything seem better.

"I imagine that has something to do with..." he studied her face closely. This was a type of happy that he wasn't quite as familiar with. It was a genuine sort of happiness, born out of something that seemed more incredible than a smooth hunt or a nice bath. It was... a little like what he felt when he was around Ilizi. His daughter was the apple of his eye, and around her he felt... joy. Which he rarely felt elsewhere. "A loved one, maybe?"

Then again, it rarely occurred to Msiba that it was possible to find joy in other things. He had never been able to treasure anything or anyone outside of his immediate family.
