Thane rooted his nose into the brush, taking deeps inhales of what ever scents he found. It had taken her a while, but Mama finally let them venture off farther from their cave and he was thrilled and excited to discover knew things. He could still hear the waves, and his mother singing softly, so he knew it was still safe. The hot sun baked his dark fur, but he didn't care. There were plenty of trees around for shade when it got too hot later on in the after noon. He was more interested really in tracking the scents of other creatures, not plants. He'd seen them scurry around in the green's, but it would be a while before he had the speed to honestly catch one. And even then what on earth would he do with it?

"With your luck that plant is going to be something that causes very unpleasant itching later."
Gentle tinkling noises preceeded the colt that came around a tree and into view. On first glance both colts looked quite identical, but if you took a second look you could see several distinct differences. Still, these two couldn't be anything except brothers.
Silas paused and schooled his face into sombriety, though he couldn't quite smother the humor in his eyes. "Just make sure you don't get any of it on me, I don't wanna be itching too!"

Thane grinned wide, standing up from the leaves. "No, with your luck, you'll be allergic and Mama will make you stay in the cave for the next few days while I play out here." Thane was obviously joking. If Reii Yuki began to think that her boys weren't say from the plantation of around their home, Thane wouldn't be allowed back just as much as Silas.
With that thought, he looked around, making sure his mother wasn't spying on them. He wouldn't of been surprised, but she said she was trusting them. How could that be if she watched their every movements? He bet that either she or Father were lurking just out of sight, grinning at them right now. It was very irksome but he shrugged it off. One day, he'd be big enough to do what ever he wanted.

"Tcha," Silas made the dismissive noise deep in the back of his throat. "Just cause we aren't identical twins doesn't mean we don't share a ton of characteristics! If I'm allergic, you most certainly are!" Silas wrinkled his nose. "Just cause you run around more doesn't mean I'm all delicate."
It was kinda a joke between the two of them. In terms of actual strength and smarts they were equally matched, but like all siblings they had to claim a particular attribute in which they were superior. It could vary day by day, but usually Silas claimed to be the smarter brother.

Thane didn't want to admit the logic to his brother's claim, and so instead changed the subject. Sort of. "Well Mother certainly worries over you more." Smirking at this, Thane trotted further out from home, having to strain to hear his mother's soft voice. He could see a field farther out, just barely. What wonders would these trees hold? Flicking his short tail left and right subconsciously, Thane wanted to trot all the way to the other side of the world at that moment. His left his body as his mind carried him away with possibilities of adventures and people.

Silas walked over to stand next to his brother, peering in the same direction he was. There was a nice view of open land with a stand of trees off in the distance. It had the look of something you wanted to go explore, and chances where the view from there would have something similar.
"The wanderlust hitting again," he asked his brother with a bit of sympathy. It was tough on both of them. They were growing up after all, and all young things liked to wander. See the world, prove they could make it on their own. They were at the disadvantage of still being colts though, with a very protective mother.

Thane jerked his head toward his brother, pulled out of his day dreams. "The.. the what?" He was clueless, as sometimes he was when his brother pulled out freaky lingo. Honestly, where did he get it from?
He looked outward again, feeling a creeping in his chest. First it was longing, then disappointment... but slightly, ever so slightly, a naughty, mischievous feeling took hold. It wouldn't really hurt to go looking. People did it all the time and were just fine. Besides! Silas and him were practically adults.
He knew that last thought was a stretch but when you're thinking of logic to pave the way of adventure, you tended not to question your supporting facts too much.

((Sorry I took so long to tag this, I got distracted >.< ))
Silas shook his head, the shells braided into his mane tinkling in accompanyment with the movement. "It's a term that usually adults use. Means that you like to travel a lot, see new things. Ya know, adventure stuff."
Silas looked closely at his brother, then added, "You know, like right now, to go with whatever thoughts you're having."
