((This thread will later be used as the entrance thread for Quore and Lua to the Kimazeru pride when the prides section reopens.))
The air above the savannah almost seemed electrically charged by the thunder storm building above. Lightening flashed from cloud to cloud causing loud blasts of thunder to shake the ground. The wind sent the grasses into a dizzying dance that slapped the legs of the white lion on the ground watching the building clouds.
Lions with sense would have disappeared to seek shelter by now but not Maovu. He loved watching storms build and being right out in the open even when lightening struck the ground. His fur stood up all over his body from excitement and the charge in the air. His attraction to building storms neared suicidal but he refused to miss one if he was there. He would stand there no matter what until the storm broke and dumped its load of water directly on him. He was far from his pride and with no one with him he could watch the show all the way till the end.

Other pairs of eyes were watching the brewing storm that was about to encompass the savannah. One of them had a fearful shine to her eyes, of one who's young, fresh and inexperienced with the ways of life, sheltered by a cover that was no longer there.
The other, however, had a calm, wise gaze, watching the intricacies of the elements at work. As both strode through the dancing grass, Lua felt the wind currents play around their forms, carrying the freshness of anticipation for the rain that would soon shower the thirsty land, the lightning above their heads, drawing delicate patterns through the dark clouds. "Look above, Quore. The time for the monsoons is here. The dry land will soon feed itself, and the cycle start anew. Respect nature, feel it swirl around you, the wind upon your back."
The smaller white figure nodded her head in silent acknowledgement, swallowing dry. This was a bit of a scary prenounce. Well, a lot. Her father had never let her out during the rains, always staying in the highlands in the shelter of their den. The thought of Dante made Quore's cheeks flush for a moment, first of shame, then of resolution. She wasn't going to turn back now, too late for that!
Lua watched the uncertainty go through her pupil's mind and smiled softly, nudging her shoulder forward, like a gentle pat on the back to encourage someone to fly the nest. "Come now, don't be afraid. Run with the winds of storm, feel them guide you."
Quore felt the vote of confidence from her friend and mentor, and, with a deep breath, the restrained spring of her young body was released, breaking into a sprint though the dried leaves under the watchful eye of Lua Evrae. She could feel them, the winds blowing behind her, guiding her paws, the dark purple glow of the strange circles billowing with the currents, carrying the scent of magic with them.
The distance between both increased rapidly, and soon, Lua was but a white dot at the distance on Quore's eyes. Something else had captured tthe young lioness's attention though, making her forget about the storm overhead. Another white form seemed to be right ahead of her, sparking her curiosity. Another lion? Her sprint slowed to a trot, and then to a halt as the distance between her and the white male shortened, leaving a few respectable feet between them. "Hello..." Her voice was low and soft, slightly trembling, all innocent. "Here to see the storm too?"

The winds sent two different scents to Maovu's nose long before the first lioness even stood before him. He didn't even bother to look down at the lioness until she stood before him and spoke. A burst of lightening from above lit up the female as he placed his gaze upon her and he couldn't believe his luck at all. His eyes were wide for a few moments and then he narrowed them and a smile across his maw showed his sharp, slightly stained, teeth. His grandfather would be proud of him when he brought this lovely female back to him.
"Well hello there lovely lady." He replied and bowed slightly to her to seem respectful. "Yes I am here to see the storm. I love watching building storms. They are magnifacent and not something that should be wasted away in a den." He turned his gaze to the sky and the lightening lit his eyes in an almost evil way. He seemed almost entranced once again by the lightening and darkness until a loud clap of thunder seemed to release him and he looked back down to the female. "Do you enjoy watching storms as well?"

As the lightning coursed through the sky, Quore turned her pale, baby blue eyes up, watching the clouds above her in search for the glowing strike even though it was too late. Her ears twitched slightly as the thunder rebounded, a sign of the twinge of fear that still persisted within her. Perhaps it would have been wiser to note the shady glimpse of the lion's intentions instead of cloudgazing, but, even if Quore was watching... she probably wouldn't have paid heed to it.
There was a bit of a twinge in the back of Quore's head as Maovu spoke, clouding her smile briefly. Not of anger. Sorrow perhaps, regret. Mainly sorrow for having been barred from so many things that she was just now discovering with her friend. As she turned to him, the lightning struck, and the glint it gave to his eyes was one she percieved as resolute. This lion seemed absolutely sure of himself, of what he wanted and where he was headed. It was... exactly what the albino lioness wanted for herself.
"I... well, it's the first storm I'll be watching, actually. I've wanted to see one for a long time but... I was being held back then." There was a moment of embarassment obvious in Quore's expression, looking away from Maovu for a second. "No more though! So, I'm going to watch this one, and I already like what I've felt, the lightning slashing the clouds, the winds running wild, the scent of rain... I like all of that."

Maovu did not miss any of her words and mentally jumped upon her comment on being held back. He was quickly coming up with ways that he could lure her back to the pride and he was willing to try anything to get her to come back with him.
A smile played on Maovu's maw. He was happy to see a fellow lover of storms and even happier to be able to take that fellow lover back to his pride and have her accepted. Thoughts of claiming her for himself came to mind but he was not king yet so her fate would ultimately lie with Jeuri.
"So you love what you have seen and sensed so far then you will love what is to come very soon." Maovu could feel the tension in the air and the scent of rain growing stronger. It wouldn't be long until the rain let loose from the sky and he was right. It wasn't moments after Maovu's statement that with one last flash of lightening the sky let loose it's rain.
The water came down hard as it usually did with newly built storms. The water soaked Maovu straight to his fur but he loved the feel of the cold rain on his skin. "Ah this feels so nice!" He exclaimed and turned his face up to the sky to let the water hit him straight in the face while the lightening and thunder continued above the two of them.

"What is to come?" Quore repeated, wondering what he meant. She knew what happened on storms, she'd heard them inside the safety of the den, Lua had spoken about them in her mysterious ways of nature, but what could there be that was even more exciting than the thundering clouds and the white flashes running rampant above?
As the rain began pouring, the albino lioness understood what he meant, her eyes widening as she stared up above just for a moment, then closing to appreciate the rumbling of water on the land and upon her pristine pelt. It was like a curtain of water had just descended upon them, quickly claiming the dry land to itself and whatever being stood underneath the tearing clouds, bathing Quore in the freshness of the water from the skies.
A shiver of delight ran down her back, a wide grin upon her maw. The magic circles flickered as the drops hit them, their eerie light amplified in a glow that seemed to almost envelop the young lioness. "It does, it's... so wonderful!!" she added to his words, her ears relaxing backwards, letting her flakes droop under the weight of the rain. "I finally got to feel it... the rain..." Quore mumbled to herself, a tear of joy quickly finding its way out, only to mingle with her already soaked fur.

The rain was chilling but still felt good after the heat the savannah had held only earlier in the day. Maovu watched the young lioness with him with plenty of interest. He knew he had scored big time with this one. She was almost too easy. Whoever had held her back had just made it so he'd have little work to convince her. If she believed she'd have plenty of freedom to come and go as she wished he doubted she would refuse.
His eyes flickered to the circles around her legs as their glow grew brighter. It reminded him of the magical glowing marks on his body but hers were not marks but seperate from her body. His thoughts drifted to just what kind of magic could have placed the circles around her legs.
Turning his eyes to her face he smiled at her. "Well since the excitement is pretty much over perhaps I should introduce myself. My name is Maovu Warithi, Prince of the Kimazeru pride. Might I humbly ask your name?"

Her head tilted to Maovu as he spoke again, drawing Quore's attention from the thundering clouds overhead. His smile made her smile in turn, feeling her cheeks warm up slightly as he introduced himself. A prince? That was unexpected. Quore had been a rogue all of her life, never amidst a pride. Not even her parents had ever been a part of a pride either, as far as she knew. Maybe she should treat him differently? Royalty should be due some form of respect, even from rogue lions, no? Her confusion was more than apparent, especially showing through her speech. "Oh! Uh, umm... Prince Maovu Warithi, i-it's an honor to meet you." She gave the male a little frantic bow, absolutely embarassed from head to tailfeather. "I'm Quore, apprentice shaman... it was my teacher that brought me along to see the storm..."
Another white form was finally close enough to them to be visible through the heavy rain, strutting calmly through the drenched lands. Head held up high, Lua's long, wavy mane seemed to almost sparkle, a thin reticule of raindrops caught between the white strands, like a mantle of watery pearls. The silver jewels upon her reflected the light of the random lightning that still surged through the sky, adding to the feeling that this lioness was either extremly out of place... or at home. In the end, as far as Lua was concerned, it was a little bit of both. "Quore!" the lunar called out, glimpsing the two white forms. Another lion? A soft smile appeared on her maw, though maintaining her regal composure despite her inner joy at her pupil meeting someone new.
Quore's ears perked at the call of the shaman, turning to greet the older lioness with a big grin. "I'm here!"

Maovu chuckled at the females reaction to him being a prince. It seemed to him she did not quite know how to speak to a prince and that meant only one of a few things to him. She was either a rogue lioness or if she had been part of a pride she had stayed with her family and not really seen any of the royalty but the later was a long shot.
"Quore huh? That is a lovely name." He replied and then chuckled slightly. "There is no need to be nervous. The title of prince gives me no reason to be treated any differently than the next lion."
A shout from beyond reminded Maovu he had caught two different scents on the wind and turned to see who the voice was coming from. Shock greet Maovu as he spotted a second white lioness. Luck must have been shining down on him in massive rays for such a possible feat. He would probably never get such a catch like this again. "Ah is this your teacher, Miss Quore?"

His statement had appeased the young lioness, so when Quore next spoke, her words bore a different confidence. Perhaps it wasn't just his words alone. There was a very palpable respect in the way she eyed Lua, and the warmth of Lua's smile towards Quore mirrored her care for the younger one. "Just Quore is fine... and yes, Prince Maovu. She was once a princess too, but her pride requires shamans to go see the world before they can take their place, regardless of birth. She's taken me to see the lands and spoken to be about nature and its spirits... sometimes it's a bit confusing, but I guess it's just my inexperience talking."
"Oh, you don't need to be so modest, Quore, you are progressing just fine through the ways of nature. You just haven't noticed it yet." Lua joined Quore's side, greeting the white male with a slight bow of her head. Her protégée looked happy. Meeting a lion that was unrelated to her in anyway had always cheered Quore up, and in turn Lua as well. Right now, her objective was to see Quore bloom into a beautiful, wise female, and help her on that path. Meeting others was an essential part of the way, and so was interacting with them. So far, so good. "My name is Lua Evrae. It's nice to make your aquaintance, Prince Maovu."

Maovu's ears perked to Quore's words. The other lovely lady she had with her was a princess and a shaman. She could be useful but as she'd seen many things in the world already it was always possible she could be problematic. Quore didn't seem to have much experience on her however the other female could easily see right through him if he was not careful. He was going to have to step with care and figure out just how much the new female could see through.
"Ah that sounds like a lot of fun." Maovu commented to Quore and smiled at her. "Learning new things can be confusing though. I do understand how you feel."
When the new female greeted him he too bowed in greeting. "The pleasure is all mine madam Lua. You have a very lovely name. What luck I have found to come across two such lovely ladies with lovely names as well." Moavu spoke as kindly as he could with a pleasant smile on his maw. He didn't want to mess up his chance to take these two ladies back to the pride.

Lua laughed lightly, shaking her head. "Please no madam, I'm not old at all! Thank you for your compliment though, you are most kind." Maovu seemed a charming lion and at the very least, brave, for standing out in such a storm. Not many ventured off alone, not without the spirits of nature guiding them, that was guaranteed, so Lua had at least that little bit of respect for the male.
Quore, however, was now a lot more interested in something else. Something that could be easily used to the prince's advantage. After all, having been a rogue most of her life, it was only natural that she'd be curious about the other side... and with the barrier of uncomfortable politeness down, she had lee way to ask about his own perspective on the matter. "Um, if you don't mind me asking... how is life in your pride, Prince Maovu? Does it have many lions?"

Maovu nodded to Lua and grinned at her. "My appologies Miss Lua. I meant no disrespect to you." He told her. He was actually beginning to like this pair. Not only were they beautiful lionesses but they were kind and kind lions were always easy to manipulate.
With his attention on Lua, Maovu was not expecting or ready for the questions Quore threw his way. His jaw almost dropped but he quickly refrained from doing so and just grinned at Quore instead. "Life in my pride is wonderful. I enjoy every minute of my time that I spend there. I can't say it is a very big pride at the moment though. We had some tragic accidents at our last home. Another pride attacked us wanting to take over our land and decimated our numbers to an extreme. We had to evacuate our home... But that was our past and now in our present we are settled and trying to regain a few numbers to help us survive. That is what I am doing out here so far from my home. I am looking for lions who might just might be looking for a new home and family." He had this story planned out and ready to recite but he was expecting to have to bring the story up himself by manuevering it into the conversation. He was suprised that Quore had just made his job so much easier.
