Tavshed sighed his purple orbs flickering through the trees..from the safety of his secluded forest he had noticed the mare. Rarely would he pause to watch another for fear of them finding him and, asking questions or getting too close to Bau. No that would never do. Still something about the striped mare caught his eye and, made him feel oddly inwardly..maybe she had some od disease that others got from looking at her? Oh forests he hoped not. With one last wistful confused look the innocent stallion scooped up Bau and, trotted back into the shadows.
He was watching her again. Lenia glanced sideways toward the darkened figure of a stallion. His gaze kept moving in her direction and it made the mare want to blush. She lowered her head, silently pretending to graze while instead her thoughts dashed through her head. What could he want? He hadn't said anything or approached but.... Well Lenia wanted to know who he was and what his intentions were. She took a deep, steadying breath and lifted her head. With delicate steps, the mare started toward this mysterious stallion. "Hello?" The zebra patterned mare called, her voice soft and friendly.
He had just managed to move towards his favorite patch of grass when a voice made him halt. It couldn't be...had she noticed him?! Purple orbs flicked about wildly before finding a small hollowed out log..it would do. With quick movements Tavshed tucked his precious plush away then turned hoping he looked bold when..well when he really felt sick. With barely parting lips his cautious whispering feather light voice escaped. "....H...h-hi...." Embarrassment flooded the stallion who rarely spoke, even the word hello wouldn't leave his constricting vocal chords. She had come closer! Maybe now..maybe he could find out why she made him feel so odd.
Lenia was surprised at just how nervous the stallion looked. Her father had been strong and brave and so naturally, the mare had assumed all stallions were such. This was the first time that she had been proved otherwise. Not wishing to upset the poor male further, she paused a few feet away from him. "My name's Lenia. Were.... Were you watching me?" She asked, her voice still light. There was not a trace of irritence or anger in it, merely friendly curiosity.
Ears flickering anxiously Tavshed worked to calm himself..she seemed even prettier up close..not that this helped his fluttering heart or nerves. After a moments hesitation he spoke again willing his vocal chords to work properly. "...Y-yes..sorry.." Hopefully she didn't think of him as one of those..lurking males or think of him as a creepy stallion. Still he wanted to be brave..even if just for a moment. Then he could run form these odd thoughts and feelings..away from the pretty mare.
He was so nervous. Lenia felt horrible for upsetting the stallion so much and so took a small step back. "You don't have to apologize. You weren't bothering me, I was just curious." She gave him a kind smile, hoping to encourage him to calm down. "My name is Lenia. What's your name?"
Tavshed flicked his short tail offering a faint little shy smile. "..Tavshed.." Heart still fluttering when she said he hadn't been bothering her he moved back to the log to collect Bau oh so carefully with his lips and, the barest hint of teeth. Lenia..pretty. Turning back to the pretty mare he settled Bau down between his feet; head cocking ot the right "..Bau...hn...you..sick?" Now he could work up the courage at last to ask the female if she had some sickness that..made him feel strange.
Tavshed. It was a nice name. Pretty even, although pretty wasn't a good way to describe a stallion's name. Handsome then? It fit the male. She smiled at him before tilting her head in slight confusion as he bent to a log. What was that? Oh... How cute. She resisted letting out a sterotypical 'how cute!' and instead just allowed her smile to widen. "Bau?" Lenia asked softly, a touch of amusement in her voice. She stepped forward a fraction of an inch, lowering her head a bit to peer down at the worn tiger. "It's adorable. Do you bring it everywhere?"
Fluffing up a bit proudly he took a moment to make sure she wouldn't..take Bau but, a part of Tavshed already trusted the pretty mare Lenia. Her question had him perking his head bobbing in an affirmative yes. Bau never left him..ever. The only time he dared set his precious companion down would be when he swam. Getting Bau wet might just kill him and Tavshed didn't thnik the poor plush could take too much abuse. "Bau...hmm...with me..forever.." Wincing at the end of the sentence the stallion lowered his head to nose the worn little plush affection and, adoration clear in his eyes. He did love striped things..maybe thats why he liked Lenia..he might not know her but, the mare seemed kind and warm..and he had let her close unlike others who he would have run from.

"I can see you really love him." Lenia grinned, watching Tavshed carefully. It was rather adorable actually, to see him display such a fondness for his toy. She wanted to a get a bit of a better look at Bau, but something in the back of her mind told her that getting any closer to the toy was probably a bad idea. The stallion's body language hinted at how protective he was of his treasured companion. She smiled, looking up from the toy to Tavshed, "So... Do you live around here? Or are you wandering?"
Glad that the striped mare kept her distance Tavshed bobbed his head again not really wishing to talk more yet, he again parted his lips to speak. "Here..home.." He really could say more..he knew so much! So many words but, his vocal chords had turned him into this..a stallion of little choppy words. Somehow he managed yet, his lack of vocabulary had scared off more than one mare or stallion. Eyes drifting somewhat sadly his head again bent to scoop Bau up and, place the tiger plush oh so carefully upon his back. "Lenia...p-pretty.." Head bent he peeked over at the mare unsure still..about this odd sickness that she had caused.
She couldn't help the soft embarassed squeak. "T-thank you." He thought she was pretty? Lenia blushed as well as a mare can, shuffling her feet nervously. "You're handsome," The mare managed to get out, glancing down at the ground with a shy smile. No stallion had ever complimented her before and she found that she quite liked the feeling it gave her. Her eyes lifted from the dirt to give Tavshed a shy, embarassed glance before they again lowered again. He was so sweet.

Handsome. Tavshed felt suddenly giddy, and beamed brightly his body feeling warm all over. Did she really mean it? No one especially not a mare had ever called him...handsome. Although he reasoned, he also had never felt this odd feeling around a mare before now. Thus the innocent stallion reasoned Lenia must be special. That's the only logical explanation! Seeing her look made him stamp a foot before dragging it along on the ground his own purple orbs again moving over the striped mares form. His vocal chords ached making speech impossible for that instant..so Tavshed inclined his head motioning towards the sound/ scent of water. Water would soothe his hurting throat.
The mare smiled, glancing in the direction that Tavshed gestured. "Do.... Do you want to swim?" She asked softly, stepping a tiny bit closer to the stallion. She paused, before shyly she nudged his shoulder, her touch very light. Lenia didn't want to seem too forward by the contact, but a soft nudge couldn't hurt, right? As if worried that the closeness would upset the other, Lenia abruptly turned and started toward the soft sound of the water. She hoped that he would follow..... But... Maybe the touch had been too much? What if he didn't like her anymore? The zebra striped mare began to silently worry, her ear taking up a nervous twitch.
Swimming...hm. Glancing back at Bau who lay limply upon his back the stallion deeply considered the option. Swimming with Lenia...it sounded so..heavenly. The thing that shook him from his musing was the electric shock of being touched, no, nudged oh so lightly by..by someone. By a mare, by someone he hardly knew. Tavshed had little interaction with his own species but, to say the touch was unpleasant would be a lie. No..in fact Tavshed yearned for another nudge or nuzzle from the pretty Lenia. Shaking the feelings off with some difficulty Tavshed trotted after Lenia keeping close but, not too close..just in case she didn't really like him. That could happen right? Yes. When the cool shade of the trees became more intense and shady he knew they had made it to the small expanse of water. Smiling softly he leaned in close watching fish swish and swim gracefully through the clear water. "Mm..." Inching closer Tavshed let his muzzle lower so he could greedily swallow down the water.
Lenia watched him drink silently before she turned and rubbed her side against a nearby tree. Her saddle, which had been made so that she would need no help taking it off, undid with a snap and she carefully tugged it off her side and on to the ground. Despite it's look, it had actually been crafted to be decently light. She used a branch to carefully slip her bridal off and hung it on a branch. The mare turned to give Tavshed a tiny smile. "I don't want to get them wet." She explained before stepping a bit closer. "You should put Bau up next to it so he doesn't get wet." The poor tiger looked like a good dunking would dissolve him into a pile of stuffing and thread. Tavshed didn't look mad at her for the nudge, that was a good thing. Lenia would have been saddened if he was.
