Xiu wasn't sure how, but she had managed to be surprisingly social during prom. Drunk off the happy atmosphere, she had a blast taking silly pictures and chatting with random peers--things that the nervous Baku usually would have taken care to avoid.
Looking back on it, she liked how she was that night. She didn't care how silly she looked while she was dancing, and clearly neither did anyone else. She had laughed so hard that her sides hurt, and taken so many hilarious pictures that she thought she was going to die giggling when she looked through them again. But now? With the dance over and the focus moving back to school and the upcoming break, the Baku had withdrawn back into that shell of hers.
Now, what was she going to do about that?
Fortunately (or unfortunately) she remembered a certain demon she had met in Sex Ed class, and then seen again at prom. She couldn't recall a time where she saw Charlie without his characteristic smile. He just seemed...perpetually carefree, socializing with everyone around him. He had a natural skill that she didn't have, so Xiu came up with a plan...
...To ask Charlie to become her teacher.
What could go wrong? Well for one thing, she didn't know where his room was. She wandered through the halls of the demon dorms, her brows knit and hands clutched to her chest. "Um...Charlie...?" She called softly, hoping that he would somehow hear her. She wanted to keep quiet as to not disturb the other dorm residents.

There he was. Charlie brave explorer of the air vents , seeker of treasure and what not. The demon was basking in the glory of figuring out how to get in to the air vents. But no this wasn't normal Charlie today. This was adventure Charlie of the air vents. A soft bang bang bang could be heard as the demon crawled through the tight tunnels. It sure was dark....
Some one was calling his name? Amrita?
Crrrrrkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
As if on cue the air vent opened undernieth the demon sending him falling on what ever or whom ever was beneath. It happened so fast that Charlie didn't have time to shout or scream it just happened. And now he was laying on top of a pretty ghoul he had seen once or twice.
"... Your not Amrita..." He managed. The demons brow lifted in a questioning manner as if to ask/ what do you want'?

Xiu perked up when she vaguely heard something cracking. Where was that sound coming from? From the left? The right? No...above!
Unfortunately, before she could dive out of the way, something--or someone, rather--suddenly fell from the air vents and landed directly on her. Needless to say, the little Baku was not at all pleased by this, letting out a loud, unhappy squeak, followed by a lot of wincing, the moment she hit the floor. Oooh, she hoped she didn't break anything!
"Ow! W-what were you doing up ther--" Freezing at the voice, she managed to stop wincing long enough to glance at the student who was, at the moment, flopped right across her back. Oh, how lucky! "Charlie! I was looking for you! And uh, no, I'm not Amrita." Despite the current situation, she still managed to smile when she remembered how the demon had declared that Amrita was his "special friend". That had been adorable!
But she could gush later--for now, she had a favour to ask. First thing's first though..."Um, c-could you get off of me please?"

"Oh.... Uhh.." Charlie got up off the ghoul and stood up straight. If his manners had been better and if he was the type to think things through the demon would have offered Xiu his hand. But as it stood the demon wasn't one known for manners so he stood there a little dumb struck.
"What were you calling my name for?" Charlie tilted his head to the side like a confused puppy. OH RIGHT WHAT WAS HE DOING UP THERE!
"Ohhh uhhhh I was on an adventure looking for treasure, " Hadn't that been obvious? "Why? Do you know where its hidden?"

Smiling weakly, the Baku slowly rose to her feet, rubbing at her hip with a soft groan. Ooh, she was going to have some nasty bruise from that fall, that was for sure. Turning her attention back to Charlie, she blinked blankly at his question and shook her head very slowly. "...Treasure? ...Uh, nope, I-I...I have no idea where the treasure is."
...Was there treasure in the air vents at Amityville? Xiu would have to keep this in mind.
She perked up suddenly, the ache in her side all but forgotten. "But um, yes! I was looking for you because..." Ooh, this was awkward. How was she supposed to ask for lessons from someone who she hardly knew? And most importantly, would Charlie even accept? She took a deep, deeeep breath, and then...
"U-UM, HI I'm Xiu and I have no idea if you remember me but I'd like to ask for your help because I'm not very good at talking to people andIwaswonderingifyouwouldbemyteacherI'msosorrytobotheryou!" By the time she was done, Xiu was gasping for breath, her face a bright red. "I'd really appreciate it!" She added, clasping her hands together and bowing.

Charlie stood there and listened. OR TRIED the best he could to listen. Anyone who knew Charlie knew he had a very short attention span. The demon managed to stay grounded though and listen to the pleas of this one Xiu something or other.
"Not good at talking to people ..." He scratched his head, "But were talking now... and HEY you look like you'd be great in an air vent. Wanna help be with that instead? I think maybe that will solve your problem."
The air vent flap fell on the demons head with a loud crash. Charlie just stood there as if nothing had happened though.
"... Or ... not..... " Charlie leaned in, "I THINK ITS MAD AT ME" and then he leaned back out. He could have put his foot in and shook it all about but it wasn't the hoaky poky now was it.
"Sooooooooo ... Ummm... what do you mean talk to people any ways?"

Xiu openly gaped at the boil before her as he took the grate-to-the-head like nothing at all. "You're amazing!" She squeaked, eyes wide and mouth hanging open. How had he done that? Xiu would have been curled up on the floor and clutching her head if that happened to her!
However, she was snapped out of her awe when she was probably brought back to the matter at hand. Biting down on her bottom lip, she rubbed her arm awkwardly. "I mean...u-um, socializing, I guess?" The Baku seemed a little uncomfortable to admit it but, with a deep breath, she continued.
"I mean...would you be willing to become my teacher? Teach me how to...how to greet people! O-or what I'm supposed to do when I meet new people! Do I bow, or curtsy, or..."
She trailed off, a small, hopeful smile making it's way onto her face. "I'd really appreciate the help! I'll...help you find your treasure after?" She offered, pointing upwards towards the air vent, hoping to find some means to return the favour. She wasn't going to ask for his help without some kind of payment, at least!

There was no way that Charlie was going to say no to such a cute ghoul like Xiu. While she wasn't his special friend Amrita, she seemed nice after all.
"Okay. I'll take the case," How could he not help out such a ghoul like Xiu. She had made his landing that much easier after all. He owed her for using her as fall breaking fodder. Even if it wasn't intentional.
"Walk with me Xiu this way~" Charlie gestured down the demon halls. "The first thing about greeting people is image. So you need to carry your self cooler and say 'yo bro sup'."

Her face lit up immediately with a grin, and her tail began to sway from from side to side. "Yay, thank you!" He had agreed to help her! Or...er, "take the case", but that was close enough, right?
She obediently moved so that she was standing beside Charlie as they set off down the hallway. "Image." Xiu repeated, nodding to show that she understood. But...what did he mean by carrying herself cooler? "When you say how I carry myself...do you mean that I should stand up straighter? How should I position my arms?"
Oh, she was hopeless.
Well, she decided to take his first piece of advice and give it a try. Stopping abruptly, Xiu took a deep breath. Her posture...well, her posture looked typical for someone who was usually quite withdrawn. And then she opened her mouth, and uttered the meekest greeting there ever was: "Y-yo bro, s-sup...?" A pause. "So um...How was that?"

Charlie stopped mid stride and turned to look at her when she asked 'how was that'. He would have face palmed but he was in such disbelief some one could utter that phrase and NOT sound awesome. He thought that phrase was fail proof. Not that when Charlie said it he was cool but shocked the demon was none the less.
"..............." Silence.
"We're gonna need some help I think. You can't be so... uhh.. I don't know the word. LAME?" Charlie marched over to her and gave her a thoughtful look. "Don't worry though. I'll get you cool."
She was going to need practice though.

Drooping at his assessment, the Baku nodded forlornly. "I know I need a lot of work," She admitted, the sheepish smile returning to her face, "That's why I thought I'd come and ask you for help." And already, they were off to a good start! Or, er, a good start in the sense that Xiu was already learning new tips.
Though the definition of "good" in this case was probably subjective.
"Maybe I could...practice what you teach me on people?" Xiu spoke up suddenly, perking up, "I'm sure I could learn faster that way!" But who could they practice on? Xiu didn't want to be a bother or anything, but...
"...What do you think, Charlie?"

That idea sounded like a great one! Charlie was pleased with it but a little disappointed he hadn't been the one to come up with it. Well damn. Ah well he'd give credit to his pupil THIS time.
"Okay. We can do that." That was a good question though. Who. Well there was Mac and Lizzy and umm... Amrita and Tahki and Riley tooo and Jericho and some other people.
"Uhhhh...." Charlie stood there in thought. WHO to ask first. MAC DUH! HIS BEST BRO.
"Come on with me!" Charlie grabbed the Bakus arm and proceeded to drag her out of the demon dorm all the way to the reaper dorms. Mac was the perfect person to practice with! Hopefully he'd be there! The demon hadn't taken the time to think about what Xiu might think about being dragged he just pulled her along side him as if she were a piece of luggage.

Despite having been caught off-guard by her arm suddenly being grabbed, Xiu allowed herself to be pulled along without any complaint. After all, she had been the one to suggest the practicing thing, and she had also been the one to ask Charlie to become her teacher. Wherever he was taking her, she was sure the demon had an idea in mind.
She had been right to ask the pink-haired demon for help! He was a wonderful teacher, wasn't he?
The Baku blinked when she was led--or rather, dragged--into the reaper dorms. Who was her first practice target going to be, she wondered? Steeling herself, Xiu decided she would address the first person that she saw. Until then, she muttered the line over and over under her breath to prepare herself.
"Y-yo dude, sup? Yo dude, sup? Yo dude..."

What was Mot doing prowling around the reaper dorms? Did it matter? It was his home after all.
But, he just so happened to be passing by as he heard some muttering. Huh? Was that Xiu and Charlie? "Howdy, guys." Mot said with a wave, slowing his pace down. He was actually kind of busy, so he wouldn't be sticking around for whatever it was they were here for.

Charlie paused mid step with a glint in his eye. The demon slowly turned and faced Mot. In a dramatic sort of way Charlie pointed and shouted.
"YOU!"
A bit of anger laced his shout. Charlies face was a scowl to match. Of all the reapers in the building they had to run into that stranger with the van!? Charlie still had no solid proof of this but anytime an idea got into the little demons head it was damn hard to shake it out of his skull. Even when he was completely wrong.
But Xiu was here to practice. So Charlie let go of her hand and put his hands on his hips.
"Go ahead and practice on that Stranger. Don't believe anything he says though." Charlie leaned in to whisper, "Hes got a van."
